《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1493. No Way To Escape

Everyone is endowed with different talents.
For simple-minded brutes like us, how could we possibly come up with such a sinister idea?
It was an incredible feat to toy with Captain Don’t Open Fire and allow Wang Yu to have the freedom to hunt him down.
Upon receiving the orders from Fearless, the Sanguine Alliance players that were situated in Middle Street cleared a path for Captain Don’t Open Fire.
As Sanguine Rain saw an opening, they headed straight for it with all guns blazing.
Wang Yu grasped the opportune time and leaped down from the rooftop as he started his chase.
Captain Don’t Open Fire was constantly looking back for pursuers while he was on the run. He was regretful of the decisions he made thus far. He could have enlisted the help of 2012 and his guild members by giving them a share of the benefits.
If they had the support of these small guilds from Twilight City, their combined strength would have proven to be an invaluable help in a situation like this. They would not be in such a sorry state against the encirclement of Sanguine Alliance.
Captain Don’t Open Fire was like a lost child. His guild members were all scattered and he himself did not know how long he had to live.
Fortunately, the Western District was within sight. Once they reached that place, they would have some temporary respite.
This was because the Western District could be considered Void Blade’s territory. As a businessman, Captain Don’t Open Fire had quickly bought over large swathes of real estate at cheap prices and had planned to sell these properties in the future for a profit.
In >, as long as one bought a house, it would be considered private property and even the City Lord had no jurisdiction over it.
Without the permission of the owner, other players had no access to the house therefore these houses could form a safe region. It was because of these safe houses that the players from Void Blade could create trouble for the Sanguine Alliance over a long period of time.

However, when Captain Don’t Open Fire was about to step foot within the range of the West District, a familiar figure appeared in front of him.
The man was an imposing figure that towered at eight feet. With a squarish face and thick black eyebrows, he emanated an invisible sense of oppression.
“Iron… Iron Bull Boss…”
Seeing the person before him, Captain Don’t Open Fire’s face drained of color. Sanguine Rain and the others also were so terrified that they took a step backwards.
Wang Yu greeted the bunch of players plainly, “Captain Don’t Open Fire, where do you think you are going?”
“Nowhere. I’m just casually walking around…” Captain Don’t Open Fire trembled with fear as he replied. He quickly shot a glance at Sanguine Rain and the others, “All of you stop him!”
Sanguine Rain and the other guards knew the prowess of Wang Yu. They would not want to fight with Wang Yu unless it was absolutely necessary. However, since their boss had spoken, they had to take action. A bow was drawn and an arrow shot towards Wang Yu.
Fist of Heaven turned his scepter into a shield and rushed forward.
Let’s go!!
As soon as Sanguine Rain shot the arrow, Captain Don’t Open Fire turned tails.
Wang Yu saw his target escaping and was going to begin his pursuit.
At this juncture, the players from Void Blade quickly assembled into a row to block Wang Yu’s path.
Fist of Heaven took another step forward, lifting his shield in front of his body as he faced Wang Yu, “Your opponent is…”
Before he could even complete his sentence, Wang Yu executed [Thunder God’s Stomp] and left him in the dirt.
Without waiting for Wang Yu to further harm Fist of Heaven, Sanguine Wolf appeared from behind Wang Yu and aimed his dagger at Wang Yu’s heart.

Wang Yu shifted his figure momentarily. With his left hand, he reached out instinctively at Sanguine Wolf.
The other professional experts continued their barrage of arrows and magical projectiles at Wang Yu while the melee players encircled him.
Wang Yu threw Sanguine Wolf at the players before him.
All the incoming attacks were intercepted using Sanguine Wolf’s body as a shield.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
With a resounding eruption, Sanguine Wolf was blown up into a streak of white light.
Before Sanguine Wolf even dissipated, there was a Warrior that challenged Wang Yu next.
Wang Yu surged forward as he shot a punch squarely at the Warrior. With his right hand, he stabbed viciously through the Warrior’s throat.
“Pfft!”
Another life was claimed as another streak of white light illuminated the battlefield.
Wang Yu deftly executed his movement skill and he appeared before the players from Void Blade in a few steps. With the palm of both hands, one red and one blue figure of dragons appeared.
[Double Dragon Strike]!
One of the strongest attacking skills of a Qigong Master at this stage was to strengthen the power that Wang Yu’s palms could generate.
In an instant, Wang Yu tore open the blockade.
He slipped away quickly.
…
With the time that his subordinates bought from him, Captain Don’t Open Fire slipped into another street. He wiped away beads of sweat from his head when he saw that Wang Yu was not in close pursuit. He quipped, “F*ck, will that bastard be able to catch up?”
Sanguine Rain also turned back and he consoled Captain Don’t Open Fire. “Don’t worry. Fist of Heaven and the others are top experts. Even if they cannot win against him, they definitely can stall for a period of time…”
As soon as he completed his sentence, a demon-like voice rang in the ears of the two, “Hello, we meet again.”
The two of them turned back and saw that Wang Yu was in the near distance. He was grinning widely at the both of them.
“F*ck…”
Captain Don’t Open Fire was almost in tears as he instinctively hid behind Sanguine Rain. In a trembling tone, he pleaded, “Sanguine Rain, quick, think of something. I will give you a raise…”
Sanguine Rain patted Captain Don’t Open Fire’s shoulder in a last-ditch attempt to inspire confidence, “Go ahead! I will stall him!”
Sanguine Rain drew his bow and launched an Archer’s ultimate skill [Meteor Shower].
Wang Yu was briefly drowned out by the incalculable streaks of arrows.
…
Captain Don’t Open Fire took the opportunity to run again as he sneaked into the small alley nearby.
To avoid Wang Yu’s pursuit, Captain Don’t Open Fire took one big round around the street to make his way into the Western District. He was almost at the doorstep of one of his private houses.
At this moment, a large hand reached over and held on to Captain Don’t Open Fire’s shoulder.
“!!!”
Captain Don’t Open Fire’s heart was almost about to leap out from his chest. Wang Yu’s devilish face appeared right in front of his eyes.
Upon seeing Wang Yu in the flesh, Captain Don’t Open Fire finally lost hope as his legs gave way and he collapsed on the ground.
Captain Don’t Open Fire was already scared stiff by Wang Yu. He had completely lost all bearings and wits. His mouth was slightly ajar, his eyes expressionless. No words could describe how he was feeling.

YAOS 1 - Limitless Adventures - Yet Another OP Story Book 1
December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and at Amazon. December 30th 2018: V1.1.2 of YAOS Book 1 is out, some content additions, fixed typos. Amazon's enhanced typesetting now displays tables properly. YAOS is shown through the eyes of some genius athlete getting OP inside a VR, ah wait, Full Immersion game, ?F.I.O?. Not a Hero, not a Nerd, just a driven individual paying for mistakes made, biding time until he can return to the Real World. He isn't defined like you'd normally do it, you can pick his looks and name all on your own, just like you do in video games. Believe it or not, keeping his looks undefined is harder than you think. His backstory isn't expounded in detail, but it drives his choices. Book 1 isn't about depressing sob stories but about fun and rushing forward, pursuing new horizons. Oh, and you'll end on a cliffhanger! Well, most serials do, so you will probably expect that without being told explicitly. But it isn't that bad, there's a lot of reveals and more to come once this book, that is the first in a planned three-part series, is finally ready for release on amazon et al. The published version will have: 1.) Godawful speaker tags, I hate them, they make you stop thinking and speed up editing so much. In hindsight they should have been in to begin with. But I stand by my goals proclaimed earlier. You guys should think while reading, that is the whole point of the exercise. Apply the knowledge and ideas, improve yourself, get creative! 2.) Pretty colored tables, the damned blue boxes, a lot of work, 69 in one book. Finally fixed amazon's centering issue. Can't say I liked the hours needed to debug that. 3.) The promised Mitara chapters. 4.) A cover! 5.) And lastly, updated polished versions of several chapters. MC shares more of his past, some terrible chapters (esp. 32) finally work. Some new scenes, minor rewrites in parts. Text flow and other issues. The current challenge is to maintain essential ambiguity while satisfying people wanting to know more without thinking three steps ahead. Balancing one with the other is tough. The smut which was in remains, but the story told is not to be superseded by it. A 15+ rating for the first book is also important, not to mention, YAOS wasn't meant to contain any smut to begin with. If the Author can turn to writing full time his output should increase, so please support YAOS #1 once it does finally release. ~Thank You~ No maps so far, that should be in, but is really hard to get done right. Again, tips are appreciated. Update September 2017: Stubbed chapters, sorry guys, currently don't have time to upload them elsewhere, polishing book 1 and 2, writing 3, takes precedence. Book 1 is in heavy editing, too much to keep synced and continuing editing. I'd need a site which offers JS-free rapid managing of chapters and comments. Coding one myself or setting a premade up is out of scope until I'm done with the books. RRL-old offered that, nuff said. This is only here because the author believes in fairies, nobody reads this, most likely. October to December 2017: Life threw some curveballs. February 2018: Book 2 draft 1 completed, at ~150K words. Book 2 is fairly epic in scope, requires 1 rewritten chapter, some editing. Tables and miscellanea are in, but needs at least a grammar pass. March 2018: Book 3 at 28k words, first arc, rest needs serious planning for spin-off and satisfying conclusion. July 2018: Yet another proofing/editing session of books 1-3, 101+ chapters, ~300k words. B3 at 48k, starts out great, but no ETA, no wordcount limit, in flux. But prioritizing my writing cannot be done, I hate the delays as much as you, but you will prefer the whole released in a timely fashion rather than wait. Knowing myself how excruciating waiting can be, at least you'll get significantly polished versions and an ETA on book 2 by release of book 1. December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and in the process at Amazon et. al.. . To all who wait patiently, offered feedback, thanks again!
