《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1488. Resurrecting After Lying Down On One’s Deathbed

“It’s obvious! Captain Don’t Open Fire wants to be the City Lord.”
Wang Yu pouted as he said this. It seemed like Wang Yu was really enraged by Captain Don’t Open Fire. A narrow-hearted guy like this had been upset over a matter like this all along.
“Become the City Lord? Tsk!” Everyone frowned, “Someone like him?”
The City Lord wasn’t someone picked off the streets. Every City Lord in the game was a strong, overwhelming presence. Becoming a City Lord in Twilight City wasn’t something so easily done. Not to mention the other esteemed Capitals, Captain Don’t Open Fire couldn’t even deal with a single capital, Twilight City.
However, Wang Yu’s words made sense.
Void Blade never left Twilight City from the start. In order to outshine and attack Quan Zhen Sect to obtain power and authority, he decided to go against Quan Zhen Sect. Now, in order to become the City Lord, Captain Don’t Open Fire shifted his focus on dealing with Quan Zhen Sect. That was within reasonable expectations too.
Fearless thought about it as he said, “Let’s ignore the fact that Void Blade may not be up for the position. With the current situation, we’re clearly at a disadvantage.”
In the past, Quan Zhen Sect was able to hold down the Twilight City players largely because of their slyness and ferocity. On top of that, their abilities were powerful. Furthermore, Twilight City’s guilds fought for their own cause. In terms of their thoughts and values, there was no way they could have come together to fight against Quan Zhen Sect.
In the face of money, all of them had the same goal. That was Quan Zhen Sect. With the allure of benefits, the players united as one.
In a situation like this, they had a super high-tier expert like Wang Yu as one of their cards. However, dealing with an entire Capital’s worth of players was no easy feat.
Numbers created power. This wasn’t just a legendary saying; it was true.

“What do we do now?” Ming Du frowned, “Captain Don’t Open Fire doesn’t have what it takes to become the City Lord. If he becomes one, I’ll be the first one to stand against him.”
“So what if you don’t agree?” Everyone responded mockingly, “Are you going to take Void Blade down yourself?”
“Hey, hey, hey… don’t think I’m invisible!” Wang Yu’s expression was filled with wrinkles as he continued, “With this caliber, do they really think they can kill me and force me to surrender the City Lord’s Seal?”
“Uh… that’s right!” Everyone nodded.
This was the main reason Captain Don’t Open Fire couldn’t become the City Lord. Wang Yu himself didn’t even know the extent of his power. Dealing with a hundred players wouldn’t even make him break a sweat. Even if there were 1,000 players, he would charge straight in. In the face of tens of thousands of people, he would be able to escape safely even if he couldn’t overwhelm them.
Even if tens of thousands of people surrounded him at once, he could just log off. He could take his wife to Maldives for a holiday before returning to the game. When he returned, Captain Don’t Open Fire would have died waiting.
“Eh…” Speaking of logging off, Fearless’ eyes lit up, “Right, we should be able to leave now!”
“Huh? Fearless, you’ve gone mad. Now that you know you’ve been manipulated, have you lost your wits too?” When they heard Fearless’ idea, they all thought that Fearless had lost his senses from fear.
“Screw off!” Fearless smiled confidently, “This is what we call a sham.”
“What?”
Fearless replied wittily, “We’ll gather all our forces to bait them. Right now, Void Blade has the advantage. With this attack, there isn’t a single person who can deal with it. So, let’s ignore him for now and come back when he loses his momentum. Isn’t that enough?”

“That’s easier said than done!” Spring Halo thought about it before he said, “To be able to gather so many forces here, there are only two ways to achieve it. The first way is by charisma, while the second is with money. Do you really think that b*tch, Captain Don’t Open Fire, really has the charisma to do that?”
“What does this have to do with what Fearless said?” Wang Yu asked curiously.
“Everything!” Fearless responded, “Captain Don’t Open Fire must have used money to gather all these people here. Using money, he can gather as many resources as he likes!”
“That’s right!” Spring Halo continued, “So, what will it do if we log off?” When we return, they’ll return for the money. By then, won’t we be swarmed again?”
“No!” Fearless continued, “Do you know where their motivation comes from?”
“Money?” Vainglory interrupted.
“That’s right!” Fearless chuckled, “A collaboration for money is nothing more than a superficial one. As long as we create a rift between them, they’ll reveal their true colours and intentions. When that happens, we don’t even have to make a move. Their alliance will fall apart at once.”
“A rift?” Wang Yu frowned, “Are you telling me to give the position of City Lord to Captain Don’t Open Fire, that piece of trash?”
“Haha!” Fearless laughed, “That’s just a bait. You don’t have to use such a powerful bait. Just let Sanguine Alliance take the hit. Send him a message and tell him to surrender.”
Everyone, “…”
Alright, after a series of discussions, Fearless finally decided to sell Sanguine Alliance out.
“Sure! Then, you’ll deal with this! I won’t tell them something like that!”
City Lord Wang Yu waved his hands as he handed the matter of betraying an ally to the dog-faced strategist, Fearless.
…
Within Sanguine Alliance’s strategic forces, Sanguine Warflag could no longer tell what was going on. He thought about this so hard that his head was about to explode. Sanguine Alliance couldn’t understand what Void Blade was planning either. He didn’t understand why they began attacking Quan Zhen Sect with all their power.
Just as Sanguine Warflag was mulling over this, he suddenly received Fearless’ message, “Surrender to them!”
“What?”
Seeing Fearless’ message, Sanguine Warflag thought that he misread the message. After reading it several dozen times, he finally replied, “Boss Fearless, did you send this to the wrong person?”
“No!” Fearless replied, “Iron Bull has given orders to tell you to surrender. Then, take your men to hide offline for one day.”
“Surrender? This…”
Sanguine Warflag suddenly felt alarmed as he read Fearless’ message. “F*ck, it can’t be that Void Blade has allied with Quan Zhen Sect to mess with me, right?”
“What’s wrong with you?” Sanguine Stormbringer asked this confusedly.
“Fearless said to let us surrender, then go into hiding offline!” Sanguine Warflag raged, “Motherf*cker, I took Quan Zhen Sect as brothers. I can’t believe they’re stabbing us in the back like this.”
“Ah! As expected of Boss Fearless, he’s amazing indeed!”
Hearing Sanguine Warflag’s words, Sanguine Stormbringer clapped agitatedly. He was so excited that he nearly began jumping.
“Damn you, Stormbringer, have you gone mad?!” Sanguine Warflag continued furiously, “He told us to surrender. What’s so amazing about that? They’re playing me!”
“Boss!” Sanguine Stormbringer continued emotionally, “I think you’d better do as Boss Fearless says. I’m sure we won’t suffer from this.”
“F*ck, my jurisdiction is about to be lost, and you say that this won’t be a loss? Are you a spy for Fearless?” Sanguine Warflag was completely enraged. He was blabbering incoherently.
“Haha!” Sanguine Stormbringer wasn’t bothered by Sanguine Warflag’s words. Instead, he smiled and continued, “This is what it means to resurrect after lying in one’s deathbed. Boss, you have to learn this! If you want to win, do what Boss Fearless says.”
