《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1486. Counterattack On Quan Zhen Sect

“Boss, Quan Zhen Sect is involved now. What do we do?”
At the same time, Big Bear Deng Deng An received the news as he reported it to Captain Don’t Open Fire at once.
“What else can we do?” Captain Don’t Open Fire replied irritably, “We’ll proceed!”
“Proceed?” Big Bear Deng Deng An responded in shock, “Boss, are you alright? Did you think this through? Are we really doing it?”
“Of course!”
Captain Don’t Open Fire was so enraged that he wasn’t thinking straight. He hollered in a hostile manner, “Those cursed Quan Zhen Sect dogs, they’re pushing it too far. Do they really think they’re big shots? They dare to do this even after taking my money. F*ck them! I don’t believe that the 100,000 people we have on our side will be suppressed by a dozen of b*stards.”
It was true that in terms of absolute power, a person’s ability meant nothing even if they were at the top.
No matter how strong Wang Yu was, could he fend off 100,000 people at once? Even if the players didn’t agree to it, the system would be the first to deal with him. It would be an obvious hacking technique.
The 100,000 players under Captain Don’t Open Fire were confident in going against Quan Zhen Sect too.
“But, boss…”
Big Bear Deng Deng An stuttered, “I don’t have any objections against your orders. However, I don’t know if the other players feel the same way…”
They were all veteran players. Big Bear Deng Deng An understood how the other players would react.
Wang Yu was well-known in Twilight City for a long time. His reputation reached far and wide in Twilight City. The players from Twilight City turned pale once they heard the name ‘Quan Zhen Sect’.
They were only here because they wanted to reap some benefits. Nobody dared to bet their lives against a person like Wang Yu

If Captain Don’t Open Fire decided to go against Quan Zhen Sect openly, no one within his group, including the other sects, would be able to survive the backlash.
“I know what I’m doing!” Captain Don’t Open Fire continued, “Tell everyone that for each person they kill from Quan Zhen Sect, they’ll be awarded 100,000 dollars. If they kill Iron Bull once, I’ll give them 1,000,000 in cash. The rewards will be handed immediately in person!”
Anyone could tell that Captain Don’t Open Fire had lost his wits. The fact that he put down such a high reward in cash said it all.
1,000,000 dollars wasn’t a small amount at all. A regular person would never be able to earn this amount within a few years. Even 100,000 dollars would be equivalent to a year’s worth of income. Furthermore, all they had to do was kill a player.
Man was a creature that could throw their lives aside in the name of money.
No matter how much experience and equipment one tossed away on a regular day, in the face of such a reward, there was no way a person wouldn’t be shaken.
Even if they died a hundred times in-game, they would only lose their in-game items. However, this reward was the real deal.
Within the game, there was no such thing as an undefeated legend. Especially in an imaginary world, one would be forgotten if they disappeared for an entire month.
No matter how strong Wang Yu was, that was an old matter. As for the other players from other capitals, they merely had heard of Wang Yu’s power.
No one would believe that completely. On a regular day, a player would follow the crowd and believe that he was strong just because someone else said so. However, in front of a reward like that, Wang Yu and the others were no longer the terrifying Quan Zhen Sect. Instead, they represented a thick stash of cash to be reaped.

Of course, compared to amateur players, the various guild’s bosses were much calmer. After all, 1,000,000 dollars weren’t too enticing to them. Pitting themselves against Quan Zhen Sect over such an amount wasn’t worth their efforts.
After the various guilds’ bosses thought carefully about the matter, they were about to take their disciples and withdraw from this mission when Captain Don’t Open Fire suddenly pulled them into a group chat.
Soon after, Captain Don’t Open Fire began, “Fellow leaders, the time has come for us to unite as one…”
“Captain, that’s not what you should do!” Before Captain Don’t Open Fire could finish his words, 2012 exploded, “We helped you out of goodwill yet you’re sending us to our deaths now?”
Wasn’t that the case? 2012 was one of the first groups of people to observe Wang Yu’s abilities. At first, Wang Yu chased Sanguine Warflag’s biological younger brother down two streets, forcing Sanguine Warflag to pay up and repent. He single-handedly dominated tens of thousands of people like that. This was a matter 2012 remembered like it was yesterday.
One could say that other than Sanguine Warflag, there wasn’t a single person from Twilight City who understood Wang Yu’s might better than 2012.
However, Captain Don’t Open Fire was telling everyone to confront Quan Zhen Sect directly. What was he planning?
In the face of 2012’s questioning, Captain Don’t Open Fire continued matter-of-factly, “I’m not telling you to die. I’m giving you a chance to survive.”
“Oh? What do you mean?” the leaders asked.
“Hmph!” Captain Don’t Open Fire grunted coldly, “We’re all in the same boat now. All of you attacked Sanguine Alliance too.”
“So what?” 2012 retorted.
Captain Don’t Open Fire continued, “Quan Zhen Sect intends to help Sanguine Alliance. Their motive is to retrieve our guild’s new district. If it weren’t for you, Sanguine Alliance would have taken over the western district. You say that it’s none of your business? If Void Blade is eliminated, how would you live?”
“This…”
2012 and the others were stunned speechless.
That was right. Aside from Quan Zhen Sect, there were only three main guilds in Twilight City.
Sanguine Alliance and Void Blade formed one guild each. Even though the other guilds had some minor conflicts between one another, it was for the sake of survival. In times of need, they gathered to protect one another.
These three guilds established a truce, maintaining balance.
However, if matters were like what Captain Don’t Open Fire described, Sanguine Alliance would no longer have a reason to hold back after exterminating Void Blade. Their next targets would be to absorb the other guilds.
Even if they didn’t participate in the mission this time, Sanguine Alliance would find other reasons. For instance, they had no reason to launch an attack on Void Blade either.
Seeing that nobody said a word, Captain Don’t Open Fire knew that his words had taken effect. He continued, “I know that all of you are afraid of Quan Zhen Sect. But think about it carefully. That person isn’t the guild leader of thousands of players. If a true assault takes place, there’s no reason for us to be afraid of a few dozen people. On top of that, we have more than 100,000 players on our side. Do you not have the courage to fight against a handful of people? Are you really willing to let them dominate us forever?”
“Captain’s right. In reality, Quan Zhen Sect isn’t all that. If 100,000 of us are afraid of a dozen people, I’d die from the shame.” With Captain Don’t Open Fire’s explanation, their fear toward Quan Zhen Sect dissipated gradually.
However, it wasn’t so easy to appease 2012. He asked stubbornly, “If we really overthrow Quan Zhen Sect, what do we get out of it?”

Our story follows Wolf Adler as he, along with every other human on Earth, are faced with a strange blue box filling up their vision, warning them about an upcoming reappropriation of every being of sufficient intelligence to a new planet for the initialization of some sort of System. Will he perish in this new world? Or will he thrive? Except for the first 4 chapters, Book 1 has been moved to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Except for the first 4 chapters, Book 2 has been moved to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. If you do not have the financial means to purchase the books, then you may DM me on discord through my discord channel for a pdf version of the book. There is only one main protagonist, but the story does have more than one perspective that it is told from. It's mostly first person from the main protagonist and third person perspective for the livestreams. The beginning of the story has also been massively rewritten since most of the reviews as of 1/23/2022. The release schedule right now is dependent on my college classes and coursework, but I always try to keep it to at least one chapter every other day, if not one chapter every day. I do not write sexual content or harem stuff. I am also not very interested in writing romance, so if you think you might see some romance, then you are probably wrong unless it's only a slight hint at romance or a slow romance very far into the story. Lastly, know that I don't like long-winding antagonists that get on everyone's nerves and last throughout the entire story. And I do like plot twists, so if you are predicting something that you think is going to happen later on that you dislike, (particularly around the middle to end of book two) then it likely won't happen.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!
