《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1479. City In Chaos

Heh, God of Death’s Left Hand and Sanguine Warflag were indeed birds of the same feather that flock together. The way they spoke and did things were equally brainless.
To the cunning guys of Quan Zhen Sect, such actions were almost idiotic. Everyone looked at God of Death’s Left Hand with despise and said, “There is fire in your own backyard. Why are you still here?”
“Hehe!” God of Death’s Left Hand held his wine cup and said, “This is the first time I’m tasting such expensive wine. I’ll leave after I’m done. Fearless, come, cheers.”
As he spoke, God of Death’s Left Hand lifted his wine cup and emptied it. He casually grabbed the wine cup in front of Vainglory for himself then patted Vainglory’s head and said naggingly, “Young friend, you can’t drink at your age. Get some milk instead.”
“I…” Vainglory rolled his eyes in anger.
Quan Zhen Sect, “…”
Damn it, even though God of Death’s Left Hand had known Quan Zhen Sect for only a few days, he was already influenced. Other than his usual lack of brains, he was a complete b*stard like the rest of Quan Zhen Sect. Being with them fueled his shameless attributes.
“Bull, you started this. What do you think?” Fearless ignored God of Death’s Left Hand who was tipsy and turned to ask Wang Yu.
Wang Yu was also having a headache. He knew Sanguine Warflag was brainless but he did not think he would be so brainless… If Wang Yu knew, he would have gone to Sanguine Stormbringer. At least he was more reliable and would not mess things up like this.
Wang Yu gave it some thought and said, “I think… Sanguine Alliance won’t have problems defeating Void Blade but I’m afraid Void Blade might play things differently.”

“How differently?” God of Death’s Left Hand said with annoyance.
Wang Yu said, “With their money!”
“F*ck…”
After hearing what Wang Yu said, God of Death’s Left Hand immediately shut up.
Indeed, money makes the world go round. Regardless of being in the game or in reality, money does wonders.
Void Blade’s players were not up to standard but their core members were put together by Captain Don’t Open Fire who splurged on them.
Then again, he had the money so he could do anything. Who would not be tempted by a stack of cash?
Professional experts wanted to go far so they were not tempted by such money in case they had to break the contract while normal players were not contracted to Sanguine Alliance. The game was a virtual world so to be a betrayer, all anyone needed was benefits, never needing to give up anything.
Back to the same thing, Sanguine Alliance had too many players so they were less united than small teams like Quan Zhen Sect. To everyone, they only cared about the benefits, nothing about their comradeship.
If Wang Yu or Fearless was Captain Don’t Open Fire, they would not do anything. They would not do anything but stand on the battlefield and be on Void Blade’s side. His benefits would be multiplied and would shatter Sanguine Alliance’s morale.
If Sanguine Warflag wanted to turn the tide around, he would have to increase his benefits. In such a passive situation, the two guilds would not even need to fight. The two guild leaders just had to auction. However, in terms of money, would Void Blade be afraid of anyone?
Obviously, Wang Yu overestimated Captain Don’t Open Fire’s intelligence. He actually chose to compete head-on and used money to fight with Sanguine Alliance.

Wanting to stay away from such a chaotic situation, Wang Yu suggested for them to clear the daily dungeons.
When Quan Zhen Sect returned from the dungeons, the two guilds were already fighting all out.
Every street and alley was filled with players in PK.
A city region war was different from a headquarters war.
A headquarters war was when the party which declared war attacked the other party’s headquarters, basically a small-scale city war.
City region war was between two city’s managing guilds who fought based on the bet of their cities and attacked each other until one side took down the other’s command office (the war command office).
When the immortals fight, mortals suffer.
Sanguine Alliance and Void Blade were large guilds in Twilight City. The large scale of the war between these two guilds was quite scary.
Furthermore, not only these two guilds were fighting, but those with ill intentions also joined in the chaos.
Sanguine Alliance and Void Blade’s fight left the city in chaos. The small guilds which were already upset with these two big guilds used the opportunity to quietly stab them in the back to take out their hatred against them.
There were even some who used this chance to kill people to get equipment. How despicable.
In just a while, the entire Twilight City was in chaos and normal players hid in the safety region, not daring to move, in fear of their own safety.
Seeing the city in chaos, as the one who instigated all these, Wang Yu suddenly felt guilty for his actions.
He wanted to deal with Void Blade only. He could have done it himself instead of causing fear to everyone.
However, Quan Zhen Sect’s players were excited. They loved it when mountains were made out of molehills, causing such a scene.
The inn was also a battlefield and was no longer peaceful so Quan Zhen Sect bought some drinks and sat on the roof of the church to watch both sides fight it out from a bird’s eye view.
Looking at how the battle became more aggressive below, Wang Yu asked, “You guys, if this continues, who do you think will win?”
Fearless analysed, “Based on the current situation, Sanguine Alliance has the upper hand but Void Blade’s players are really stubborn. These mediocre players used their geographic advantage to hang on till now which is surprising enough. If nothing unexpected happens, Sanguine Alliance will win sooner or later.”
Boson said with surprise, “I didn’t think Void Blade’s ten thousand people are on par with Sanguine Alliance’s thirty thousand people! I thought Void Blade was a bunch of weaklings.”
Fearless corrected him, “Not thirty thousand! Ten thousand! More than half of Sanguine Alliance’s players are in Saga City.”
“Oh… No wonder.” Everyone finally understood.
Just then, Wang Yu stood up and firmly said, “No matter who wins, I hope this battle will be over before the sun sets!”
“Don’t worry!” Spring Halo said confidently, “Void Blade is almost down. They can at most hang in there for an hour more. After we eat, the west region would be Sanguine Alliance’s.”
“Maybe not!” Once Spring Halo finished his words, Fearless pointed at the nearby teleportation spot and said, “Look there.”
“???”
Everyone looked at where Fearless was pointing at and saw the teleportation spot shining in white light. Inside, a large number of unknown players appeared.
“Eh?”
Seeing the players in the teleportation spot, Quan Zhen Sect’s players froze, “Damn, is Void Blade crazy? He even engaged in external help!”

The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.
