“Hahaha!” Upon seeing the Assassin behind him, Fearless laughed out loud and said, “This lady is truly powerful! I admit defeat!”
“So are you going to say it?” Meng Xi fixed her expressionless gaze onto Fearless.
“This… Can you let the few of us discuss it for a while?” Fearless pleaded.
“Sure!” Meng Xi nodded her head and extended her hand, “You all can go ahead and discuss as you please. I’ll wait for you!”
“Many thanks!”
Fearless cupped his fist in courtesy towards Meng Xi, before signalling Spring Halo and Vainglory to come over.
When both of them noticed his gesture, they immediately made their way over.
“Fearless Old Dog, surely you aren’t thinking of selling Uncle Bull out?” Vainglory hurriedly cried out, “Under normal circumstances, it’s fine to do that, but this time, you definitely can’t!”
“That’s right. The nature of the situation this time round is different!” Spring Halo nodded his head in agreement.
People played games for the fun of it. On usual days, everyone would attack and betray each other for the fun of it. After all, it didn’t matter if any of them died within the game.
However, the situation this time around wasn’t as simple as it involved the real-life affairs of Wang Yu. If they were to betray Wang Yu here, they wouldn’t be able to continue being brothers with him in the future.
“Sell your head! Who said that we were discussing whether we would sell Old Bull out! What I want to discuss was how to escape from this place,” Fearless said in frustration, before adding, “Let’s make use of the opportunity now to retreat!”
“???”
Upon hearing what Fearless said, Spring Halo’s duo glanced at Fearless curiously, only to see both of his eyes fixed at them, seeming as if he had been frozen in place.
Upon seeing Fearless’ appearance, both of them hurriedly opened their menu bar and logged off from the game.
The time taken for players to exit their combat mode was 20 seconds. Since Meng Xi had agreed to let the three of them engage in a discussion, naturally she would give them more than 20 seconds to do so.

Of course, it was extremely easy to tell if a player was still online or not.
The subordinates of Meng Xi were all top-tier experts, even though they might not be able to tell in a short period of time, they were naturally able to tell that something was wrong sooner or later.
As time went by, seeing that the trio standing there weren’t moving at all, Rockabye frowned and said to Meng Xi, “Seems like they have already logged off from the game.”
“?”
Upon hearing this, Meng Xi hurriedly urged Fearless, “Hey, are you guys done with your discussion?”
“…”
The trio continued to remain in silence. Shortly after, their figures vanished under everyone’s gazes.
“B*stard!”
Upon seeing this, Meng Xi immediately realised that she had fallen for Fearless’ trick. She involuntarily cried out in rage, “Tsk! They are truly a bunch of despicable and useless players, to think that they would use such a shameless trick to escape!”
“No!” At this moment, the Space Magician, Jeff, said, “They are experts!”
“Experts? Didn’t you see? They were beaten up so badly by you guys and you still call them experts?” Meng Xi retorted in disdain.
“If they are able to escape, they are experts!” Jeff repeated his point once more.
“That’s right!” Rockabye interrupted and said, “Even though this bunch of players looked like a gathering of random individuals, they were orderly in their advancement and retreat and were perfectly coordinated. Additionally, each of their individual strengths is extraordinary, especially that Magician. That Magic Damage was the highest I’ve ever seen in my entire life!”
“That strong?” Meng Xi asked curiously, “Can they be compared to you guys?”
“Of course not!” Jeff directly said.
Rockabye explained and said, “Even though the capabilities of these individuals are strong, when compared to professional experts, they are still lacking. In the entire China region, the only ones that can be compared to our Sacred Hall Squad are of the Kyushu Squad!”
Speaking up till this point, Rockabye revealed a look of self-confidence on his face.
“Good!” Meng Xi threw a thumbs-up at Rockabye and the rest before saying, “So what do we do now?”

Jeff replied plainly, “The Quan Zhen Sect players will probably not be online for a while now. But someone in Twilight City will definitely know something.”
“What do you mean?”
“Ask!” Jeff said.
Meng Xi, “…”
To think that the mindset of this bunch of players was so simple and crude. Even though it may sound like an extremely easy thing to do, the difficulty of it was great.
Even though Meng Xi had threatened that she would massacre the city, she didn’t actually have the intention of doing so.
Everyone knew that Quan Zhen Sect had very few members. If Quan Zhen Sect was a large guild, things would be way easier. After all, larger guilds tend to have greater public exposure and their top players were all renowned players. Who would even bother getting to know a small group like Quan Zhen Sect?
Twilight City had a population of hundreds of thousands of players, and was close to that of a county town. If they were to really ask each and every one of these players, it would take an extremely long duration of time.
“Isn’t that unrealistic? We’ll take an extremely long amount of time to do that,” Meng Xi shook her head and said.
“No, no, no!” Rockabye waved his hand and said, “You are mistaken. What I mean is that we publish a bounty quest to draw those people that possess the information that you require over to you instead.”
“I see!” Meng Xi came to a sudden realisation and added, “Where do we go to do that?”
“The City Lord Manor,” Rockabye answered.
“Great! Let Jeff handle this matter then!” Meng Xi nodded in agreement.
…
“If it’s the City Lord Manor then forget about it.”
Just when Jeff was about to take his leave upon receiving Meng Xi’s orders, a voice suddenly rang out from the corner of the bar.
“???”
Upon hearing the voice, everyone threw their gazes towards the direction of it, only to see a Guardian sitting alone at a table.
The appearance and the equipment of the Guardian were ordinary. However, he emanated an aura that asked for a beating.
This was something that everyone could understand. A Guardian was meant to direct the aggro of the opponents towards him in the first place.
However, when Meng Xi saw the Guardian, her heart involuntarily tightened as she frowned and said, “How long have you been there for?”
“I’m sorry! I accidentally overheard your conversation.”
Upon hearing Meng Xi acknowledging himself, the Warrior gleefully smiled as he went over and said, “I’ve been in the room ever since you guys entered the door. To think that every one of you here is so powerful, and could destroy Quan Zhen Sect so easily, you have my respect!”
Meng Xi completely disregarded the Warrior’s salute. Instead, she coldly asked, “Who are you?”
“My name is Big Bear Deng Deng An, you can address me as Big Bear,” the Warrior hurriedly replied.
He added, “You must be the leader here. Quan Zhen Sect has been dominating Twilight City for some time now. However, the people in Twilight City are unable to deal with them. Every one of you here, on the other hand, are capable of defeating that group of losers so casually. This was truly an eye-opening experience for Old Bear here. If you don’t mind, why don’t we add each other…”
“Enough!” Before Big Bear Deng Deng An could extend his friend request, Meng Xi waved her hand in a frustrated manner and said, “What did you mean when you said that it was pointless for us to head over to the City Lord Manor?”
“You don’t know?” Big Bear Deng Deng An answered, “The City Lord of Twilight City is someone from Quan Zhen Sect. You wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything by heading over there.”
“Oh?” Upon hearing this, Meng Xi was slightly surprised. She added, “Your City Lord is actually someone from that bunch of players?”
“It couldn’t be helped.” Big Bear sighed and said, “If you guys had arrived a few months earlier, it would still be uncertain as to who the City Lord was. That’s right. Who in Quan Zhen Sect are you looking for?”
“Frost Blade. Do you know him?” Meng Xi asked.
“So it’s Frost Blade, I do know him!” Big Bear Deng Deng An nodded his head and said.

His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region

The Archaic Elements
A fantasy world, its own unique power-up system, some mystery aspects to make it look interesting and an MC that should make sense but well messes up, cause plot. Flashy fights. Characters will use their brain, unless it is an arrogant young master that needs to be taught a lesson. The starting is slow and maybe boring. The main MC does not desire great strength or harbor any great ambition. He starts out as a naive, lazy and a boring person. But the story does hold one aspect which will fuel the growth of our MC, which is his boundless curiosity for adventure and his will to explore. The second MC is a reincarnation/transmigration and he has a clear cut aim that he needs to achieve. His past life experiences also becomes a pillar that will help guide the main MC, while his friend also supports him. The writing is slow and steady. I will provide reasonings behind most happenings and keep it a logical story. It's a WIP as I edit the previous chapters even as I release more, so while the content doesn't change, the style and smoothness improve. The current release rate is 3 chapter/week. There is no specific date as I can get sidetracked or forgetful., but I will try to stick to Tues, Thurs and Sunday releases.
