《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1445. Take Flight

“You’re still alive?”
Nephis was shocked and angry as she stared at Wang Yu and the others who were still alive and kicking,
She was shocked because these players were really difficult to fight against. Even though she unleashed enormous flames, they survived. As for her rage…
Most people had a side that nobody knew of. A lady that seemed demure and neatly polished could actually be a huge tomboy at home…
Clearly, Nephis was a person like that. In front of others, she acted high and mighty. However, she revealed her true nature when she was alone.
Wang Yu and the others observed Nephis’ huge display in the streets, committing it to their memories. Nephis was like a nerd who had the E drive on his computer opened up. She looked embarrassed and terrified.
If the flaming Phoenix wasn’t red, everyone would have seen Nephis’s face turn bright red.
“I’m still doing fine, maybe just a step away from it.”
The onlookers were still reeling in shock due to Nephis’ attacks.
“Did you all hear that?”
“Hahaha…” Fearless scratched his head as he said, “Would you believe us if we said we didn’t?”
“No…” Nephis shook her head.
“Then, you have your answer! All of us heard it!” Fearless laughed.
“Damn you! All of you must die! [Purgatory Sea of Flames]!!”
After Fearless’ affirmation, Nephis lost her sanity as the flames on her body seemed to explode and spread in all directions.
Soon after, Nephis’ mouth opened wide as the flames descended from the sky once more.
This time, Nephis’ flames weren’t like before. Instead, they shot out from her mouth, spraying the Quan Zhen Sect members.
“F*ck!”
Quan Zhen Sect and Kingdom of Hell members could no longer ascertain their fates. A Divine-tier BOSS’ attack wasn’t something Crotch Lord and Asura could defend against.
Without saying a word, they charged toward Nephis.
Since this attack wasn’t an AOE attack, they would be fine as long as they avoided the area. Nephis’ attack was fan-shaped. The farther they retreated, the greater the radius of her attack. The more they rushed toward Nephis, the smaller the damage taken.

Warriors and Knights had Charge skills, Assassins had [Haste], Archers had natural speed, Pugilists had [Crushing Fist] and other skills. Naturally, they could get away.
However, it wasn’t the same for those in the magic jobs…
Fearless and Ming Du could still manage. One had the second phase of [Invincibility] while the other had [Teleportation]. Ming Du jumped out of the attack radius at once while Fearless dodged it casually.
Spring Halo, Raksha and Pharmacist Pocket weren’t so lucky.
Spring Halo increased his overall stats and his movement speed was slow. Even though he could withstand a God-grade BOSS’ attacks, there was no difference between having 10,000 HP and 1 HP. Anyone who got hit by the attack head-on would die. Spring Halo turned to ash even before he could let out a shout.
Raksha knew the [Ice Clone] skill. However, after Nephis transformed and awakened, Raksha pulled the aggro to himself first. As such, Nephis hated him most. This shot of flame was targeted at Raksha. Naturally, he wouldn’t let a single clone of Raksha’s go. Sadly, Raksha left before Spring Halo.
Pharmacist Pocket had given the [Invincible Halo] to Asura. When he saw the flames approach, he didn’t resist or escape. Instead, he wrote ten words before his chest before he went to meet the God of Light. This humble display from a Priest made Fearless sweat.
In the blink of an eye, the squad lost three players.
Unfortunately, Nephis’ attacks weren’t complete.
Even though most of Quan Zhen Sect and Kingdom of Hell escaped from Nephis’ flame AOE attack, the flames didn’t disappear even after they reached their destination. Instead, they continued spreading in all directions.
The [Purgatory Sea of Flames] truly lived up to its name!
Nephis was harsher on her subordinates than outsiders. The rushing flames expanded quickly to every corner of the palace. However, what made the others sweat was how these flames began to lick up the walls, spreading to the ceiling!

As they watched the flames approach, the onlookers could only back off to a corner.
However, the floors couldn’t stand the gravity of the attacks. These spreading flames weren’t any weaker than the initial blow. If they remained on the ground, it was likely that they could die soon.
Climbing the walls using the [Vine Climbing] skill was out of the question. Not to mention these flames could scale the wall, even if they continued burning on the ground, climbing up the walls was the worst idea.
Due to the restrictions on the terrain, climbing the walls would cause one to slow down. Furthermore, one would become the BOSS’ target.
The only plan they could use was to fly. No matter how hard it was to control their flight, their movement speed was still faster than running. It was more likely to survive using this plan.
As they thought about this, Wang Yu asked God of Death’s Left Hand and the others. “Do you have wings?”
After he asked this, Wang Yu regretted it immediately.
“Hmm…”
Quan Zhen Sect members fell into silence.
Wings were the rarest and most treasured item in >… a player that had this item must be a top-tier wealthy player. Otherwise, he would be a player with massive funding from a good guild.
When the Kingdom of Hell joined the Sanguine Alliance, they were as poor as beggars. Since they were assigned to help Quan Zhen Sect defeat the dungeon, there was no way they would have such a valuable item. By asking this question, Wang Yu was rubbing salt on their wound.
“No…” God of Death’s Left Hand shook his head decisively.
The others had also guessed what Quan Zhen Sect was thinking. They revealed perplexed expressions.
Quan Zhen Sect members felt bad too.
Abandoning their teammates to escape was Quan Zhen Sect’s style, but that depended on who it was.
If they were Quan Zhen Sect’s brothers, escaping wouldn’t be a problem. Everyone would understand.
Those that they weren’t familiar with, they betrayed… Nobody felt burdened by that.
However, Kingdom of Hell weren’t really brothers, but they were still squadmates with good camaraderie. That made things a little awkward.
Since they developed a relationship by travelling together, even shameless people from Quan Zhen Sect felt bad if they were to abandon the Kingdom of Hell’s players.
Quan Zhen Sect looked a little perplexed as God of Death’s Left Hand waved his hands, “You don’t have to worry about us. Just fly and leave us. It’s unfortunate that we won’t be able to fight with you to the end. Good luck.”
It was just a game, and not reality. Even if they died, that would be it. God of Death’s Left Hand was a reasonable person. He wasn’t about to bring everyone to their death together.
“Alright!” Fearless let out a sigh, “Brother Left Hand, I apologise. If we make it through this dungeon, we’ll give you your portion of the loot.”
With that, Fearless signalled to Wang Yu and the others.
“Hooha!”
Wings extended out of Wang Yu and the others’ backs as they flew to the sky.
On the other hand, Yang Nuo didn’t fly. Instead, he walked to God of Death’s Left hand and handed his cape to him.
“???”
Staring at the cape in Yang Nuo’s left hand, everyone was stunned. God of Death’s Left Hand didn’t know what to do either. He wasn’t sure whether to take it as he panicked, “This… how can this?”
Yang Nuo smiled, “In this dungeon, you’re far more important than I am. Remember to return it to me later!”
