《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1381. Sanguine Alliance, A Plate Of Scattered Sand

There were close to a hundred of these players from the Black Dragon Guild, and amongst them was a tall, broad and extremely eye-catching Warrior.
The players that came online unconsciously gathered around the tall Warrior. Clearly, this Warrior was the leader of this group of people.
Apart from this, this group of players appeared rather orderly. After they gathered all of their players, they directly charged towards the city gates.
What the players from the Black Dragon Guild didn’t know was that all of their actions were monitored by the Quan Zhen Sect players within a magic tower in Saga City. Upon seeing this scene, Fearless frowned and said, “Ai ai ai! Seems like our opponent isn’t simple! Thankfully, we arrived beforehand!”
Needless to say, for Black Dragon King to have been able to bring the Black Dragon Guild to such heights, he definitely had some capabilities himself. His treacherousness and scheming character left Fearless slightly surprised.
Black Dragon King naturally knew that with the city wall blocking them, attacking the city wasn’t that simple.
Thus, before the players from Sanguine Alliance teleported to Saga City, they would have deployed a hundred elite troops to lay an ambush within Sage City.
The majority of the troops brought by Lava Teeth weren’t to attack the city, but rather to keep the Sanguine Alliance players outside of Saga City. The key to this plan was the elite troops lying in ambush.
This was truly a well thought out plan that incorporated an offense on both the internal and external areas of the city.
According to the rules, the moment the City War begins, the city guards within the city would lose their functionality. Once the City Lord was killed, the City Lord Seal would certainly drop. Once the City Lord Seal was retrieved by the enemy, the City War would end in failure.
Thus, as long as the elite troops lying in ambush were able to kill Sanguine Warflag, the City War would end prematurely and there would not be a need to launch a large-scale attack on the city.
If that was the case, a lot of time, manpower and resources could be saved.
Black Dragon King was a businessman himself. Thus, it was in his nature to minimise the cost of everything that he did. Hence, it was only natural for him to have thought of such an ingenious plan.

It was unfortunate for Sanguine Warflag to have met with such a scheming old fagg*t!
It couldn’t be helped, one was an old sly businessman while the other was a hot-headed high school sophomore. There was simply no comparison between the two.
Upon seeing the Black Dragon Guild’s elites running towards the city walls, Wang Yu impatiently asked, “Do we go and help now?”
“No need!” After taking a look at the Sanguine Alliance members on top of the city walls, Fearless waved his hand and said, “Sanguine Alliance is, at the end of the day, still one of the top large guilds in the nation. If they are unable to even retreat from such a situation, giving Saga City to them would be a waste!”
“This… Alright.”
Upon hearing what Fearless said, Wang Yu did not bother arguing anymore.
The reason why Wang Yu transferred Saga City over to Sanguine Alliance was because he saw the potential in the guild. If they did not even have this amount of capability, there was no point in letting them keep the city, it would be better if he kept it for himself.
…
As they were speaking, the Sanguine Alliance players that were returning to defend the city had successfully entered it.
Logically speaking, since there wasn’t much competitive gaming in Japan, the individual and group strengths of these Japanese players were lacking in comparison with the Chinese players. However, this gap in strength was only in terms of the player’s awareness. In terms of maneuvers, the requirement of stand-alone games wouldn’t be inferior to online games, and may instead be higher.
Furthermore, the Black Dragon Guild was the largest guild in Immortal Island. Thus, they definitely had some strength to back them up. Even if they were weaker, it wouldn’t be overly significant.
Sanguine Alliance was left in a mess after the declaration of war from the Black Dragon Guild. Their troop’s morale had hit rock bottom and they were given the order to run back to defend the city. Thus, the players from Sanguine Alliance no longer stuck to their formations and retreated chaotically.
Black Dragon Guild, on the other hand, advanced in an orderly manner. Even in the face of the Sanguine Alliance players that were scattered like loose sand on a plate, they did not let down their guard in the least.

Furthermore, in order to ensure that the elite troops met the necessary requirements for the assassination, the Black Dragon Guild did not go all out to kill the enemy. Instead, they stood their ground and prevented Sanguine Alliance from advancing, significantly easing their workload.
The Sanguine Alliance had launched a few successive attacks, but they were all firmly defended by the Black Dragon Guild players.
At this moment, the Sanguine Alliance players had been sealed off from Saga City and were unable to advance even half a step forward.
Upon seeing the number of Sanguine Alliance players in front of them significantly increasing, Fire Split Tooth nervously asked Lava Teeth, “Boss, the number of Chinese players are steadily increasing, will we still be able to hold them off?”
“We will hold them off!” Lava Teeth exclaimed, “These Chinese players are all extremely smart and prideful. Now that they have lost their commander, they definitely wouldn’t submit to another. Once this plate of loose sand finally gathers their strength, Saga City would have already been taken over.”
Fire Split Tooth turned his head around and glanced towards the Sanguine Alliance players standing atop the city walls and said, “Their players in the city aren’t few either!”
Even though the Sanguine Alliance players on top of the city walls were currently in a mess, there was still at least over a hundred of them defending it.
“It’s no use!” Lava Teeth coldly smiled and said, “Those that could retreat so quickly definitely aren’t experts! Furthermore, the group that was sent this time was the Black Dragon’s Fangs.”
“Black Dragon’s Fangs?” Upon hearing this name, Fire Split Tooth was shocked for a moment. Shortly after, all of his concerns over their victory in this battle vanished.
…
Upon seeing the Black Dragon Guild’s bucket-like defense around the city, preventing the Sanguine Alliance players from retreating back into the city, Sanguine Warflag, who was situated on top of the city walls, began to panic in his heart.
Just when Sanguine Warflag was feeling flustered over this whole predicament, the elites of the Black Dragon Guild had charged up the city walls.
“Eh? You guys are?”
Upon seeing this group of vicious players charging over, Sanguine Warflag was stunned for a moment. He had initially thought that they were Sanguine Alliance’s reinforcements and was about to step forward to receive them when all of a sudden, Sanguine Stormbringer shouted, “Old Flag, hurry up and run! They are Black Dragon Guild’s players!”
Shortly after, Sanguine Stormbringer’s figure flashed before appearing right in front of Sanguine Warflag.
“???”
Upon hearing this, Sanguine Warflag was stunned speechless, before frantically turning his gaze towards the chest area of the players in front of him.
It couldn’t be helped that a Knight’s vision wasn’t as acute as that of an Archer. The moment Sanguine Warflag finally saw the Black Dragon Guild’s emblem on the enemy’s chest, the enemy had already arrived less than 20 metres away from Sanguine Warflag.
Upon seeing the enemy charging over, Sanguine Stormbringer immediately took up his bow with his left hand and knocked a few arrows with his right. Without any hesitation, he pulled the bowstring and released the arrow.
“Boom!”
A volley of arrows flew towards the players from Black Dragon Guild.
The tall Warrior standing in front of the group of them instinctively raised his shield.
“Dang!””Dang!””Dang!””Dang!”
Sanguine Stormbringer’s arrows were easily blocked by the shield.
At this moment, Sanguine Warflag had already recovered himself. He hurriedly gave an order to the remaining Sanguine Alliance players situated on top of the city walls, “Block them off!”
Upon hearing this command, the Sanguine Alliance players immediately circled the enemy from all directions.
It couldn’t be helped that an individual battle was drastically different from that of a group battle. An individual battle boiled down to the individual player’s capabilities, while a group battle boiled down to the formation used.
The Sanguine Alliance players were originally scattered all around. Upon receiving Sanguine Warflag’s orders, they chaotically charged forwards without any formation at all. The results of such a clash were obvious.
Not only did the players from Black Dragon Guild stick strictly to their formation, the players comprised in this group were the elites of the elites. Even if they were to clash head-on with the Sanguine Alliance players, they would not lose out to them at all, much less when the enemy was in such a mess.
As expected, the Sanguine Alliance players started dropping one after another and were slaughtered by the Black Dragon Guild’s players.

Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
