The Priest was a long-range job and mainly filled the support role in a team. Thus, the job itself wasn’t well suited for close-quarter combat. At the end of the day however, Fearless was still a genuine expert, and after mingling with Wang Yu for so long, he managed to pick up some skills from him here and there.

Upon seeing Southern Heaven Mighty God lunging towards him, Fearless raised the staff in his right hand to block his chest area.

“Clang!”

The sound of collision rang out as Southern Heaven Mighty God’s dagger was deflected by Fearless’ staff.

In terms of strength, Priests were definitely inferior to Assassins like Southern Heaven Mighty God. Even though Fearless managed to block the damage from that strike, he retreated a few steps backwards from the impact of the collision.

As an expert himself, Southern Heaven Mighty God’s maneuvering skills were relatively agile. Before his strike had landed, he activated [Haste] and chased after Fearless’ retreating figure, leaving numerous afterimages behind him.

At this moment, Fearless had made use of the gap between them to activate his second phase of [Invincibility]. A ray of red light descended from the sky and enveloped Fearless’ figure, allowing him to negate Southern Heaven Mighty God’s attack once more.

“Goodbye!”

Fearless smiled slightly as he used the staff in his hand to propel his body into the air, before activating [Flight] and flying towards the rooftop of the surrounding buildings.

Southern Heaven Mighty God’s figure was that of a child. Thus, with Fearless’ jump into the air, he had easily created a two metres gap between the two of them. If it were someone else, it would still be possible to grab ahold of Fearless’ figure in the air. However, even if Southern Heaven Mighty God were to jump as high as he could, the height that he could reach was still insufficient. Thus, all he could do was watch Fearless fly into the sky.

“I knew you would run!”

However, just when Fearless was about to break free from the alley, he suddenly heard a light cry as a black and curvy figure descended from the sky and stepped onto Fearless with both feet.

“Eh?!”

While Fearless was feeling conceited, he had completely let his guard down and did not expect for there to still be an enemy on top of him. The moment he recovered from his shock, the black figure had already arrived in front of his face.

Fearless instinctively turned his body in midair to try to dodge the incoming figure. In the end, even though the feet of the black figure missed its target, the butt of the figure ended up sitting on Fearless’ face.

“Boom!”

As Fearless was currently still in his [Invincible] state, after taking such a hit, he did not receive any physical damage from it. All he felt was a sudden soft sensation on his face as he got sat on by the black figure on the ground. However, because the black figure missed her footing, she involuntarily lost her balance and fell onto Fearless’ body.

“Aiya…”

After crashing into the ground, Fearless frantically raised his hands to push off the figure on top of him. However, the moment both of his hands placed their grip on the figure, he felt something soft in his hands.

“Despicable!”

At the same time, a woman’s cry was heard before Fearless could make sense of what had happened.

“Pa pa pa!”

A string of slaps descended on Fearless’ face. The lady was extremely ruthless in her retaliation and three consecutive slaps landed in succession, resulting in Fearless being inflicted with a [Stun] condition for 0.8 seconds.

F*ck, for an Assassin to use her bare hands to knock another player into a [Stun] condition… Clearly, this lady was extremely infuriated.

Thinking about it, it did make sense. After being taken advantage of, apart from Fearless himself, anyone else wouldn’t be comfortable about it…

After venting her anger on Fearless, the lady leapt backwards into the air and got back up on her feet in a single movement. She furiously pointed at Fearless and said to Southern Heaven Mighty God, “Beat him! Beat him to death!”

Upon seeing this scene, Southern Heaven Mighty God was stunned silly as he revealed an envious gaze towards Fearless. After receiving the instruction, he hurriedly wiped off the saliva drooping from his mouth as he leapt towards Fearless with both daggers in his hands.

At the same time, a string of words lit up above Southern Heaven Mighty God’s head.

[Awakened. Descending God Assassination]!

Damn it, no one knew if the little dwarf was resentful towards Fearless for playing him or if he was jealous of Fearless being so intimate with the lady, but his methods were extremely ruthless right off the bat and he even unleashed his [Awakened] state.

As a class with extremely weak defence, Fearless naturally couldn’t withstand a direct hit from an Awakened skill from an Assassin. Seeing Southern Heaven Mighty God jumping onto him, he abruptly flipped his figure on the ground, resulting in the dagger piercing through his shoulder and nailing him to the ground.

Without waiting for Southern Heaven Mighty God to recover, Fearless rolled to the side and stretched out his arms to grab ahold of Southern Heaven Mighty God’s figure. Shortly after, Fearless body emitted a glaring white glow.

“It’s [Self-destruct]!”

Upon seeing the white glow around Fearless’ body, the expressions on both Southern Heaven Mighty God and the lady sunk. They both revealed a look of shock, seemingly as if they were surprised by Fearless’ decisiveness in battle.

It couldn’t be helped. This was the only damaging skill that a Priest possessed. In the face of a single Assassin, Fearless did not think that he had any chance of emerging victorious, much less when an even stronger one appeared out of a sudden. Thus, he naturally had to give up all thought of emerging out of this battle alive.

Even though the bunch from Quan Zhen Sect all had their own unique styles and quirks, they ultimately all had a similar characteristic. That is they all carried a hint of ruthlessness in the things that they did.

This group of b*stards would never allow themselves to be at a disadvantage. If I am unable to leave this place alive, you can forget about emerging unscathed too! Dragging someone down was the best way to minimise their losses at this point in time.

The moment Southern Heaven Mighty God realised the danger he was in, it was already too late as Fearless had already activated his ability.

“Boom!!!”

An explosion rang out as Fearless’ HP was swiftly depleted and Southern Heaven Mighty God’s character was blasted into a white ray of light.

After blasting apart Southern Heaven Mighty God, Fearless recovered his bearings and cast a few healing spells at himself, recovering his HP back up to 30%, before taking a few steps back to pull apart the distance between himself and the lady.

Upon seeing Fearless retreating, the lady did not reveal any intention of pursuing him. Instead, she crossed her arms and said, “To think that the Sect Leader, Fearless, of Quan Zhen Sect only amounted to so much, to the point that he had to resort to such underhanded means to deal with someone.”

Facing the provocation of this lady, Fearless’ expression remained indifferent as he adopted the same tone and said, “To think that the Guild Leader, Scarless, of Assassin Monarch only amounted to so much, to the point that she had to resort to such underhanded means to deal with someone.”

As he was speaking, Fearless gently caressed his face as he glanced towards the butt of the lady standing in front of him, before shaking his head in disapproval.

“Whoosh!”

Upon hearing Fearless’ words, Scarless’ face turned black instantly. Infuriated, she raised her dagger and shouted, “B*stard! Shut your mouth! Don’t think that I won’t finish you off here right now!”

“Hehe! Just based on you alone?”

Fearless raised his staff and sent a [Holy Flame] towards Scarless. Following which, he stretched out both his arms as a pair of wings unfurled on his back, before taking flight into the air once more.

Upon seeing this, Scarless frantically dashed over.

After blasting apart Southern Heaven Mighty God, Fearless had pulled apart the distance between himself and Scarless. Now that Scarless had been inflicted with [Silenced] by Fearless, she was unable to unleash any abilities at him. The moment she arrived at the position Fearless was originally standing at, Fearless was already flying in midair.

Assassin Monarch and Quan Zhen Sect were both groups comprised of experts. For Scarless to be able to be the big boss of an organisation filled with ruthless individuals, her abilities weren’t weak either.

Upon seeing Fearless wanting to take to the skies, Scarless flicked her right hand as a rope flew into the air and circled around Fearless’ leg.

“Come back down!”

Following which, Scarless viciously pulled onto the rope, bringing Fearless back onto the ground for the second time.

After experiencing the previous battle, Scarless could clearly tell that she was no match against Fearless in terms of a battle with words. Furthermore, this group of players from Quan Zhen Sect were as crazy as the rumours said they were, and would make use of any opportunity to retaliate.

Thus, Scarless no longer bothered uttering any other useless words and immediately raised her dagger at Fearless.
