《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1325. Job Change Tool

“Aiya?” The Quan Zhen Sect couldn’t believe their eyes as they asked, “Why are you not dead?”
“Tsk! Do you really think my resurrection skill can only be used on you guys?” Fearless patted the dust off his body as he replied.
After saying that, Fearless looked around and asked, “Is the BOSS dead?”
“Yes!” Everyone nodded.
“What did he drop?” Fearless asked anxiously.
Everyone pointed to Fearless’ feet, “They are all right beside you! Can’t you see it for yourselves?”
“F*ck! You guys haven’t managed to pick them up?” Fearless turned around excitedly as he saw and picked up the inheritance left behind by Zorro.
The first thing that caught Fearless’ eyes was a crimson skill book. Fearless picked it up and immediately sent the attributes into the guild chat.
[Raging Flames Walk]: Skill book which allows a Pugilist to learn the rare skill [Raging Flames Walk]!
Required Job: Pugilist.
“Eh?”
Everyone was slightly taken aback when they saw the attributes of this skill book.
According to the settings of >, everything that a BOSS dropped had to be related to the job of the BOSS. Zorro was a Warrior and ever since his appearance, he hadn’t displayed a single skill of any other job. Hence, why did he drop a Pugilist’s skill book?
Could it be because of the fact that this fella killed Black Leg Sanji so he took over his items too?
Of course, everyone was merely slightly curious about the origin of this skill book. They were more concerned about who should receive this skill book.
It wasn’t hard to tell from the name of the skill that it was clearly a fire attribute skill.
In >, any skill that contained a particular element attribute would possess an additional magic damage which made it incredibly fearsome. For example, [Flaming Tornado Leg] was a Martial Savant’s strongest AOE damage output skill. When Vainglory saw this book, he was practically drooling all over the place.

However, it was clear that Vainglory was overthinking it. Not only was he already sent back to the city, but he also wouldn’t stand a chance with Wang Yu around.
It was a harsh reality…
When Vainglory saw that Wang Yu took the skill book away, he was regretful of his decision to choose a job with no potential.
After receiving the skill book, Wang Yu slapped his hand on the book which turned it into white light as it entered Wang Yu’s body.
“Uncle Bull! Show us the skill!” Vainglory couldn’t help but cry out excitedly.
Even if he couldn’t obtain it, he wanted to see just how much he missed out on. This was human nature and Vainglory was not an exception.
Wang Yu was a person with a good temper. Since he received the skill, he was not going to hide it from the rest so he casually sent the attributes to the guild chat.
[Raging Flames Walk]: Rare skill to summon the infernal flames around the legs. Able to reduce the cooldown time of all skills and at the same time, increase the damages done on the target. In the [Raging Flames Walk] state, all attacks would be equivalent to fire attributes which could cause sputtering damages on surrounding enemies. The flames on the ground could cause a burning effect on the opponents.
“F*ck!” “F*ck!”
After seeing the attributes of [Raging Flames Walk], Vainglory muttered out two ‘f*ck’ as tears were swelling up in his eyes.
Skills were like weapons as their price and grades were all impartial. The crucial factor was whether it could match with one’s own job attributes.
A Pugilist was never the strongest of jobs with average attacking skills. The only unique characteristic was the exceptionally short cooldown of their skills which allowed them to execute a series of attacks in quick succession.
Without mentioning how this [Raging Flames Walk] would improve any fire attribute skill, this skill could reduce the cooldown time of one’s skills. Moreover, it could cause additional damage and cooldown time for the opponents. Even though this was merely a BUFF skill, it could be considered a godly skill to a Pugilist.

What was the most painful feeling in the world? The feeling after watching someone land a godly skill in front of you.
Vainglory’s eyes swell up as he pouted his mouth and said, “Uncle Bull… I hate you!”
Wang Yu felt bad when he saw how pitiful a child like Vainglory acted so he comforted him and said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry… If there are any other Pugilist’s item later, you will get to choose it first.”
“Hey!” Fearless chuckled when he heard what Wang Yu said, “The next item is indeed a Pugilist’s item.”
Following which, Fearless took out a scroll.
Mixed Martial Arts Job Change Scroll: A rare tool which records the method to change one’s job to hidden branch job, ‘Mixed Martial Arts’.
“F*ck!” Once Fearless took out this scroll, everyone couldn’t help but cry out, “Yet another job change tool!”
Even though hidden branch jobs were not as rare as hero jobs, they weren’t extremely common too. It was already extremely hard for an ordinary person to obtain a job change tool so who would have thought that just like that, they managed to receive two?
It seemed like this Harbor City was really hidden with plenty of decent items.
There were already quite a few hidden jobs and hidden branch jobs in the Quan Zhen Sect. Since a long time ago, Vainglory was already coveting for one so when he saw the job change scroll in Fearless’ hand, he cried out frantically, “Mine, mine! Old Dog Fearless, give it to me!”
Fearless’ face turned black as he replied, “Little child! From the way you talk to me, it seems like you’re not very sincere.”
“F*ck…”
Vainglory’s heart started beating fast after hearing that so he quickly corrected himself, “Master Fearless, I will listen to whatever you say in the future…”
“Only him?” everyone else chuckled and asked.
Vainglory cried out, “All of you are my masters now!”
“That’s more like it!”
All the despicable fellas from the Quan Zhen Sect smiled proudly.
To be honest, both hidden branch job and conventional jobs had their own merits. One could not compare them and say that one was better than the other. Even though the various skills of hidden branch jobs were incredibly strong, once the job change was completed, one wouldn’t be able to learn the ultimate moves of conventional jobs.
However, one wouldn’t be able to forget one’s skill in >. For example, Vainglory already knew [Shadows Chain Kick] so even after changing his job to a hidden branch job, he could still use his current skill.
Therefore, the fact that a hidden branch job prohibited one from learning the ultimate skill from one’s mentor did not affect Vainglory. Vainglory had wanted a hidden branch job for a very long time and it seemed like his wish had finally come true.
…
“Hey…” Just when everyone was teasing Vainglory, Boson couldn’t help but ask, “Is there a hidden branch job scroll for Warrior too?”
Boson was indeed Fearless’ biological brother. Even though he looked honest and good-natured, his heart was actually extremely shining. Since both the Archer and Pugilist had received the job change tool, it wouldn’t be surprising to have one for Warrior since the ultimate BOSS was still a Warrior.
“Aiya, you’re pretty smart huh!”
Indeed, Fearless smiled after hearing what Boson said before tossing a letter into the guild chat.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them.
