《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1311. Retreat To Seek Stableness

As a player who had personally gone up against [Milky Way Upheaval Dance], Wang Yu knew better than anyone just how impressive the skill was.
One must know that normally, Wang Yu could defend the attacks of a group of people with merely his pole. He rarely had to use his shield unless in situations where he was encircled by hundreds of enemies.
Even though the situation this time was slightly unique, the fact that Wu Su’s [Milky Way Upheaval Dance] forced out Wang Yu’s shield proved its might.
An Archer’s skill was usually the hardest to obtain from BOSSes in the game. The moment Wang Yu revealed the skill book, both Yang Nuo and Ling Longmeng cried out, “I want that!”
“F*ck…”
It was never easy for the two ladies to spend so much time with the group of wretched old men in the Quan Zhen Sect. Therefore, Yang Nuo and Ling Longmeng had always maintained a very good relationship with each other. When they realised that the other party wanted the book, both of them were slightly taken aback before saying together, “Forget it, I don’t want it anymore…”
After all, there was only one book. Ling Longmeng was never the most proficient in attacking and Yang Nuo’s natural abilities compensate for the lack of damage output in her skills. The two of them were not going to ruin their good relationship with each other over a book.
“Look at them and then look at yourselves again!” Seeing how modest the two ladies were, Wang Yu looked at Fearless and co. disdainfully before revealing yet another item.
Mirage Ring (Ring) (Gold)
Physical Attack: 31-51
Magical attack: 20-40
Attention Concentration: Critical Damage +10%, Critical Damage Output +10%
Mirage Cloning: Active skill which can create two clones lasting 20 seconds. Clones possess 33% of the user’s attacking power and will receive 350% of the damage when attacked. MP exhaustion: 80. Cooldown Time: 50 seconds.
Mirage Explosion: Active Skill as the exploding clones could cause 1000 points of damage to the target. This skill is effective for all of the user’s cloning skills.
Level Requirement: 50
Job Requirement: Archer
Item Description: A ring with mystical powers.

The drop rate of jewelry in the game had always been of the lowest probability. A high-level jewelry had always been of considerable price and owning a ring like that was a symbol of a person’s status, regardless of the attributes of the ring.
Even a person of Wang Yu’s status only had one ring with him. Even though it was a God-grade equipment, it was broken and imperfect. Other than the space attributes, the symbolic meaning of the ring surpassed its practical use.
This Mirage Ring was vastly different. Not only was it a high-level Gold equipment, its attributes were also comparatively impressive.
Agile Archers were mainly lacking in power which explained why their normal attacks would not have high damage output. They relied heavily on speed and critical damage to deal with their opponents.
And the critical damage attribute was incredibly rare and not many weapons would possess such an attribute. However, this ring actually came with an additional 10% of this attribute which, alone, was enough to make this a peak grade item.
As for the [Mirage Cloning] and [Mirage Explosion], they were incredibly practical skills. [Mirage Cloning] could significantly increase the continuous damage output of the user while [Mirage Explosion] could increase the instant damage output of the user. This would be especially useful if used in the hands of a player like Ling Longmeng, who depended heavily on fighting with clones. Her strength would be raised to yet another level.
The key was that this ring looked beautiful!
The Mirage Ring was transparent and when one puts it in her finger, the faintly discernible radiances reflected off it looked like pure diamonds. It was something every woman wouldn’t be able to resist.
Looking at such a ring, Ling Longmeng was naturally not going to think about [Milky Way Upheaval Dance] anymore. Without wasting any time, she offered a high price to purchase the ring from Wang Yu.
Yang Nuo also quietly accepted the [Milky Way Upheaval Dance] skill book.
…
Besides the skill book and the ring, the other equipment were relatively more ordinary in the eyes of the Quan Zhen Sect. However, the very last item that Wang Yu brought out regained the attention of everyone.

Slingshot Archer Job Change Proof: Job Change tool and using it would result in the immediate acceptance of a job change quest of a hidden branch job: Slingshot Archer.
Job Change Proof!!
Looking at this proof, everyone couldn’t help but exclaim.
Even though there were quite a few hidden branch jobs in the games, there was not a lot of them too. Especially in a game like > where there were over billions of players, the probability of chancing upon a hidden branch job was less than 0.000001.
Who knew that this rubbish pirate lair would have such an item?
However, Slingshot Archer… seems a little unflattering. In this day and age, how could a slingshot be more powerful than the bow and arrow?
Even if Yang Nuo and Ling Longmeng had ordinary jobs, the two of them would still not fancy a hidden branch job like this.
Of course, Wang Yu was the person who had fought against Wu Su. He knew that even though the range was shorter than the bow and arrow and the damage output was low, the speed and flexibility of this hidden branch job were not comparable to the traditional bow Archer. It was not a rubbish job class and it would probably fetch a decent price if he sold it to the people from Void Blade.
“Are you done with your matter?” After Wang Yu finished showing all the weapons, Fearless asked.
Wang Yu was not someone who loved showing off so the fact that he started showing pictures of the equipment in the guild chat meant that there was only one possibility. He had just killed a BOSS.
Since the BOSS was already dead, it meant that he was probably almost done with what he set out to do.
“En! I’m done!” Wang Yu answered.
“Great, then quickly come back!” Fearless replied faintly.
“Don’t you need us to coordinate things from the inside?” Spring Halo was slightly confused when Fearless wanted them to return.
The strongest fortress all collapsed from the inside and since everyone had made way into the enemies’ city, it was evidently more effective for them to take them down from the inside.
“No need!” Fearless chuckled.
“Why not?” Spring Halo asked.
Fearless answered, “Because they are not humans! Moreover, the gathering of forces of over fifty thousand men is definitely the most terrifying.”
Taking down the enemy from the inside and outside simultaneously seemed like an ingenious plan but that was dependent on who the enemy was.
If the enemies were independent individuals, this plan was definitely going to be effective. Hiding amongst the crowd to give a few wrong commands was definitely going to be effective in taking down the formation of over ten thousand men.
However, their current enemies were a bunch of small monsters with no AI…
Against a formation like this, the structure and the cohesiveness of the attack was going to be highly concentrated. They were only going to listen to the command of the system so any form of disruption was never going to work.
Moreover, there were a total of over fifty thousand monsters in the city. Even if there were only one thousand trapped in the city, the three of them were never going to make any sort of significant impact. Even if Wang Yu had unbelievable heaven-defying capabilities, the encirclement of that many pirates was merely going to force him to retreat.
The Quan Zhen Sect players were all crucial characters in this battle so Fearless was naturally not going to sacrifice them for no reason.
In terms of strategy, the Quan Zhen Sect had complete faith in Fearless. Since Fearless wanted Wang Yu and the two others to leave Harbor City, he must have his reasons. Even if the three of them still had their doubts, they fled out of the city immediately.
After returning to the squad, Wang Yu asked Fearless, “So what should we do next?”
Fearless turned around to ask Spring Halo, “How long can the effects of your poison last?”
“One hundred minutes!” Spring Halo replied heartachingly because those were not poison as they were shining white money.
“Alright!” Hearing Spring Halo’s reply, Fearless replied, “Let us rest for one hour first!”

Falling
It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject. Cover Art: The art work is by me, and I will take it down immediately at request from the artist.
