《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1290. The Remaining

Following which, was the right leg, the left hand…
Wang Yu’s fists and legs danced around as the “Kacha” sound could constantly be heard from the machine, causing goosebumps to rise on the audience’s skin.
With a final haul using his arms and feet, all four limbs of the mech were dislodged from its body.
With a blink of an eye, Nine Deities Arrow’s mech had been dismantled into loose components, leaving behind its main body.
Seeing the previously all-mighty Gundam warrior that had beaten Evil Rampage without any room for retaliation getting dismantled back into its loose parts after a few exchanges, the audience was stirred into a frenzy.
F*ck, dismantling a Gundam with his spare hands, is he still human?
Of course, there was naturally no strongest job class, only pervertedly overpowered players.
The person feeling the most miserable at that point in time was Nine Deities Arrow, who was still lying in the cockpit of the Gundam.
“Ah…”
Upon reading the system notification, two trails of crystal clear tears flowed down his face…
Following this scene, the other Kyushu Squad members that were off the stage felt miserable for Nine Deities Arrow’s plight…
Others might not know it, but the members of the Kyushu Squad knew full well that this mech was Nine Deities Arrow’s lifeblood. If it were not for the fact that the opponent in the finals was too strong, Nine Deities Arrow would never have been willing to take it out.
At the end, who would have known that the opponent would be so merciless, using his bare hands and feet to dismantle the mech right in front of his eyes…
After having his lifeblood getting ruined right in front of him, the mental state of Nine Deities Arrow must be extremely miserable right now.
After tearing off the four limbs off the mech, the culprit, Wang Yu, wasn’t finished yet. He slowly walked forwards and stepped on the chest area of the mech with one foot, before using one fist to punch through the chest of the mech.
“Kacha!”
A hole was immediately punched through the chest of the mech, and Nine Deities Arrow was hauled out of it through the hole.
After having his mech destroyed, Nine Deities Arrow seemed to have lost his awareness of his surroundings. At this moment, both his eyes stared blankly at Wang Yu, seeming as if he had left the mortal world.

“This is what you call martial arts, got it?”
Wang Yu stared at the lifeless eyes of Nine Deities Arrow and asked.
“…”
Nine Deities Arrow was unable to utter a single word, and could only obediently nod his head.
“Alright, you can die now!”
As he was speaking, Wang Yu exerted some strength into his hand, snapping Nine Deities Arrow’s neck in an instant. Following which, Nine Deities Arrow turned into a white ray of light and was sent off the stage.
…
On the other side, with the inclusion of Boundless Ocean, the members of the Kyushu Squad had formed a formation.
Originally, Ming Du and the rest’s capabilities were significantly lacking when compared to the top-tier experts from the Kyushu Squad. Now that the five-man group had entered into a formation, it would naturally be easy for them to deal with their five scattered opponents.
When Wang Yu was still dismantling the Gundam with his bare hands, Ming Du had accidentally been [Silenced] by the enemy’s Priest, losing his ability to use any abilities, resulting in him getting shot by an enemy Archer and instantly eliminated.
Without Ming Du’s cover fire, Vainglory and Boson, who were melee classes, had instantly become moving targets…
Even though the Kyushu Squad no longer had Nine Deities Arrow’s mech, the remaining two Archers were still professional elites whose achievements in the professional scene were more outstanding than Nine Deities Arrow’s.
In the face of such opponents, Boson’s duo were unable to retaliate in the slightest. After a few exchanges, they had numerous holes on their body, and were thus sent off the stage grudgingly.
Darknorth Fisher had relied on his [Earth Elemental Technique], and had dug his way underneath Boundless Ocean’s feet, wanting to launch a sneak attack from below him. Unfortunately, Boundless Ocean had already prepared for it.
The moment Darknorth Fisher’s head appeared, he instantly came into contact with a previously prepared [Blizzard Trap], freezing into an ice sculpture on the spot.
Following which, Boundless Ocean cast an ability, creating a pool of water underneath Darknorth Fisher’s feet, causing to sink into it. Darknorth Fisher was instantly submerged underneath the water and was unable to resist, turning into a true fish at that moment… Shortly after, he died at Boundless Ocean’s feet.
Even though Yang Nuo was extremely capable, after all of her teammates had died, the firepower from the five members from the Kyushu Squad were all focused on her.

As these five players were also top-tier experts, their abilities weren’t any much weaker than Yang Nuo’s. Now that it was a 5 vs 1 situation, Yang Nuo had begun to feel the pressure exerted on her, and could only rely on her abilities to dodge the opponents’ attacks without any chance for a counterattack.
Boundless Ocean walked a few steps forward and cast [Ice Mirror] underneath Yang Nuo’s feet, reducing her agility. Upon seeing this, the Archers from Kyushu Squad immediately seized the opportunity to land their attacks on her figure, causing her to be eliminated.
At this moment, the score of both teams had become 5 : 3 from the previous tie.
After eliminating Ming Du and the others, Boundless Ocean’s group had taken the lead.
On the Kyushu Squad’s side, the damage they had received was minimal.
On the other hand, Evil Rampage’s HP bar had already reached the red zone. While Crotch Lord, who was still climbing up the mountain, was severely lacking in skills when compared to the rest of the players, and would not be able to last after a few exchanges with the opponent. Thus, the only one that could put up a fight in Team A Murder of Crows was basically left with Wang Yu.
Upon seeing Wang Yu’s group of three and the scattered parts of Nine Deities Arrow’s mech lying around their feet, Boundless Ocean was momentarily stunned, before recovering himself as he coolly smiled and said, “It is just left with the three of you. Do you all still want to fight? I suggest you surrender now, at least you will still be able to save some face.”
“Haha!”
Upon hearing this, Wang Yu smiled and adopted the same tone that Boundless Ocean had used on them and said, “No, I alone am enough to deal with the likes of you useless pieces of wood! It is just a pity that if you surrendered, you wouldn’t lose much face…”
Who were the members of the Kyushu Squad? They were all top-tier experts of the gaming industry in the nation, and were all highly ranked individuals internationally.
All along, it had been them mocking others’ capabilities, since when was it the other way round? Furthermore, it was a single person challenging all five of them. Even if it was a player that had attained zen, he would still be unable to be calm under such a provocation.
“Nonsensical ramblings of a madman!”
Without waiting for Wang Yu to finish his sentence, one of the Archers standing behind Wang Yu cried out furiously as he knocked his arrow and sent a shot over to Wang Yu.
“Swish!”
With a sonic boom, the arrow flew, at a breakneck speed, over to Wang Yu.
Upon seeing this, Wang Yu raised his hand and wanted to grab onto the arrow. At this moment, however, the Archer softly cried out under his breath, “Break!”
The arrow was suddenly split into three and avoided Wang Yu’s hand, curving around Wang Yu in midair and arriving behind him.
[Mirage Arrow]!
It was a rare ability possessed by an Archer and could lock onto target, before proceeding with a two-stage illusion attack.
The three arrows were merely a few centimetres away from Wang Yu, thus it was too late for Wang Yu to try and dodge them. Instinctively, he raised his left hand to block the arrows, swapping the weapon in it to a shield.
“Dang! Dang! Dang!”
The three arrows were successfully blocked by the shield.
However, at this moment, Boundless Ocean raised his magic staff and slammed it onto the ground, activating [Ice Path].
The ground underneath Wang Yu instantly turned into ice road.
At this exact moment, Wang Yu lightly leapt backwards into the air to avoid the magic cast on the ground. Without waiting for him to land, the other Archer let loose an arrow towards him.
At this moment, everyone could see the might brought about from the cooperation between players.
Individually, all five players weren’t Wang Yu’s opponent. If they were to fight him head-on individually, there was an 80% chance that they would not be able to last a single exchange.
However, under the coordination of the group, the might that they were able to display wasn’t as simple as adding all of them up.
If the five of them were attacking all at once, or were all fighting individually, Wang Yu would not have been forced to flee in such a miserable state.
However, the coordination between the group was flawless. Before the first ability had arrived, the next one had already been cast.
Under such seamless coordination, the casting duration of the abilities was completely eradicated, resulting in the chain of attacks to arrive continuously, leaving no room for Wang Yu to counterattack.

Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
