《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1238. Conflicting Tactics

“Block him!!”
Under Spring Halo’s command, the demons put together a tight formation leaving no gaps for Sword of Thunderbolt to escape.
Using ten demons to surround Sword of Thunderbolt was a pretty shameless tactic to fight a close-combat Warrior.
This was especially when Spring Halo was a such a despicable player. When his demons managed to trap Sword of Thunderbolt at where he was, he didn’t stop executing his skills. Reduce speed, reduce defense and constant attacks… Skills were consecutively executed on Sword of Thunderbolt’s head.
Even though a Shaman didn’t have incredibly powerful skills, these disgusting and irritating debuff skills were equivalent to cutting off his flesh. At this point, Sword of Thunderbolt wished that he could die now instead of suffering this torture.
Of course, Spring Halo wanted him to die quickly too. However, Sword of Thunderbolt’s equipment were of peak grades and Spring Halo’s damage output wasn’t high.
“I’ll fight it out with you!”
Being tortured in this manner, Sword of Thunderbolt was frustrated and embarrassed. He shouted and twisted his body as he tried to execute [Tornado Slash].
“Haha!”
Spring Halo chuckled as he ordered his demons to open up the formation to get out of the range of Sword of Thunderbolt’s attack range.
When Sword of Thunderbolt saw this opening, he lowered his head to use [Charge]. After getting through the gap between the demons, he quickly raised his sword high and executed [Mountain and Earth Shattering Strike] towards Spring Halo.
Spring Halo responded as though he already knew Sword of Thunderbolt was going to do this. Just when Sword of Thunderbolt almost hit Spring Halo, he turned into smoke and floated away from Sword of Thunderbolt’s skill.
After missing his target, Sword of Thunderbolt was determined not to be trapped by Spring Halo’s demons again. Hence, he pierced his sword upwards and activated [Broken Army Rising Dragon Slash] to escape.
Eventually, he only moved two steps and Spring Halo’s [Dark Barrier] emerged from the ground to trap Sword of Thunderbolt.
“Duang!”
Sword of Thunderbolt couldn’t stop his skill in time as he appeared to have charged over intentionally. He knocked into the [Dark Barrier] and was once again rooted to the spot.

Spring Halo instructed his demons to once again reduce his health bit by bit.
Looking at the speed at which Spring Halo was killing Sword of Thunderbolt, the players from Quan Zhen Sect couldn’t help but comment, “Tsk, tsk! This Brother Spring is really out to torture this kid to death eh? How cruel…”
Boson clenched his fist as he watched excitedly, “Brother Spring is truly a good brother!”
When Spring Halo started plotting against someone, the outcome would never be straightforward like how Wang Yu would take down his opponent.
Being chased and trapped by Spring Halo, the pitiful Sword of Thunderbolt experienced the cycle of being rooted to the spot – surrounded – breaking through – rooted to the spot – surrounded again. Eventually, the demons’ lifespan ended but his health bar decreased all the way too. He looked relieved as he was finally turned into white light and was sent off the arena.
Concurrently, the spectators grew fearful of this wretched old man.
Damn it! Most of them would rather kill themselves than to exchange blows with this fella.
What was considered karmic retribution? Previously, Sword of Thunderbolt didn’t hold back as he scolded and cursed at his teammates. The moment he got off the arena, God of Death’s Right Hand came up to sneer coldly, “Brother Thunder, it seems like your tactics aren’t that good either. The way you were tortured…”
“Tsk!” Sword of Thunderbolt knew that regardless of what he said now, he would be mocked by others so he could only reply helplessly, “You… You know nothing at all!”
“Haha!”
Seeing how tongue-tied Sword of Thunderbolt was, the rest of them couldn’t help but laugh out loud. They acted as though Kingdom of Hell won the competition.
“Hehe!”
Fearless revealed a cunning smile as he saw the reaction of the players from Kingdom of Hell.
The first round of competition, Team A Murder Of Crows was in the lead with a score of 5:1. The spectators were already used to seeing a score like that.
After all the matches that the Quan Zhen Sect had gone through, they always produced excellent results in the first round. As for the second round, it depended entirely on their luck. This was something that the spectators had come to realise about the Quan Zhen Sect.

Back at the resting cabin, Fearless couldn’t help but smile, “In our next round…”
“We’ll follow heaven’s will!”
Before Fearless could continue his sentence, everyone completed his sentence in unison.
“Aiya! It seems like everyone knows this already.” Even though Fearless sounded surprised, his expression was natural.
“Of course!” Wang Yu continued, “We have been fighting this way all the time!”
“Hehe!”
Fearless chuckled, “That’s right! We will follow the heaven’s will for the second round of this competition. However, whoever meets Sword of Thunderbolt must do your ultimate best to defeat him.”
“Oh?” Everyone was slightly surprised, “We’re picking on him?”
“That’s right!” Fearless replied, “That’s what he gets for being despicable! If you’re a brother, you will punish him in the worst imaginable way!”
“No problem, no problem!” Everyone looked at Boson as they responded, “We were planning to do that even if you didn’t tell us so!”
…
Inside the resting cabin of Kingdom of Hell, God of Death’s Left Hand and the others were discussing tactics. Because of the great loss of prestige, Sword of Thunderbolt sat in the corner with a hidden bitterness as he didn’t join in the discussion.
The motto of Kingdom of Hell had always been to fight without fear as they re-emphasised this point once again.
When Sword of Thunderbolt heard this, he looked ready to give up all hope.
God of Death’s Left Hand had a pretty high level of EQ so he invited Sword of Thunderbolt to say something when he saw how pitiful he looked, “Old Thunder, why don’t you give us some of your opinions?”
“Me?” Sword of Thunderbolt pointed at himself and said, “Will you guys even listen to my opinions?”
“Of course! Our squad is the most democratic one! You are our master strategist so, as long as whatever you say makes sense, we will definitely listen to you!” everyone replied.
Sword of Thunderbolt had clearly stayed overseas for too long as he couldn’t discern the sarcastic tone in their words. Hearing what everyone said, he grew energetic again as he walked right into the middle of the room and said, “All your tactics are too trashy! We cannot fight this way! We have to wait for an opportunity to attack, wait for action after having accumulated power and then strike to gain the upper hand…”
“…”
When the players saw how this kid was really not standing on any ceremony, their expressions changed drastically.
How can a squad change their style so easily? Moreover, this bunch of players could accomplish what they had today because their style was recognised by everyone. It was already part of them just like the wretchedness in the Quan Zhen Sect.
The first thing Sword of Thunderbolt came up to say was to dismiss the motto in which this bunch of players had lived by for so many years. Even if Sword of Thunderbolt was right, none of them could accept that.
Furthermore, Sword of Thunderbolt had just been slaughtered by the opponent once. In the eyes of all the other players, he no longer had the prestige or respect of these players. He was considered lucky that everyone didn’t pin him to the wall to beat him up after saying something like that.
God of Death’s Right Hand, who had always been ill-tempered, replied almost immediately, “Regardless of how trashy our tactics are, at least we weren’t tortured to our death… I still believe in that same sentence. If you are a man, you will face up to your challenge directly.”
“This has nothing to do with being a man or not!” Sword of Thunderbolt was getting frustrated after hearing God of Death’s Right Hand’s reply.
God of Death’s Right Hand replied coldly, “Why? If you’re not happy, why don’t we fight it out in the game?”
Sword of Thunderbolt clenched his fists, “You really think I’ll be scared of you??”
God of Death’s Left Hand quickly pulled the two apart when he saw that these two were about to throw punches around, “Stop acting like kids! Later, you will fight according to your own style and we will speak using results!”

Someone Like Adam
"You know, it won't physically hurt you to be nice for once." I crossed my arms in front of my chest and groaned.
