《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1231. Sword of Thunderbolt

“Boom!”
An explosion could be heard once more.
“Dong!”
The massive arrow pierced through the walls of the tower that Star Fire was standing on.
Merely two arrows were enough to frighten Star Fire out of his soul.
The spectators’ hearts were beating incredibly fast for Star Fire.
The lookout tower was only a very small platform about two metres square big. It was only enough for one player to stand up there.
Even though God of Death’s Left Hand’s two arrows did not hit Star Fire, it was only a matter of time before he managed to hit him if he continued trying. If Star Fire wanted to survive, the only way was to leave the lookout tower.
“Boom!”
Just when Star Fire was still weighing his options, yet another explosion could be heard. God of Death’s Left Hand had already fired his third arrow.
This arrow was shot right towards Star Fire’s head.
At the very last moment, Star Fire sidestepped and dodged the arrow. The arrow pierced through the tower and disappeared.
At this point, God of Death’s Left Hand seemed to have confirmed Star Fire’s exact location as he grabbed three arrows and placed them on his bow together.
“F*ck!!!”
Star Fire, who was on the lookout tower, jumped out of fear when he saw this. He was naturally not going to stand there to be an easy target. Without any hesitation, he jumped off the tower and retreated swiftly.
“Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!”
Following that were the sounds of three arrows piercing through the tower and disappearing into the air.
From the sound of the arrows, God of Death’s Left Hand knew that his opponent left the lookout tower. Therefore, he walked towards the tower in an extremely calm manner.
From the top of the lookout tower, God of Death’s Left Hand could see everything including the scurrying Star Fire.
God of Death’s Left Hand’s proficiency with his bow and arrows was something even Wang Yu was impressed with. Therefore, it wouldn’t be hard for him to hit a moving target accurately. Without a field of vision, God of Death’s Left Hand could force Star Fire off the lookout tower just based on his intuition alone. Imagine how strong he would be on this lookout tower where he could see everything.

He lifted his bow and placed his arrow in position.
Taking in a deep breath of air.
“Boom!”
The explosive arrow was loud upon release as it flew towards the back of Star Fire’s head.
“Pft…”
The arrow pierced through Star Fire’s head and came out from his mouth as it immediately pinned Star Fire to the ground. The trembling arrow caused all the spectators to feel a slight chill on the back of their heads.
This was especially true for Frost Blade who turned pale when he witnessed a scene like that. He immediately thought of how he died not too long ago.
Even an Assassin like Frost Blade who equipped himself as though he was a Warrior was killed by one arrow, let alone a defenseless Archer like Star Fire.
White light shone as God of Death’s Left Hand’s incredible performance won the first match.
“How? Impressive, right?” Seeing how his favourite player killed a pretty boy with one arrow, Fearless laughed heartily as though he was the one who killed the opponent.
Wang Yu nodded, “Impressive! Impressive!”
Wang Yu wasn’t being humble because the level that God of Death’s Left Hand trained himself to be able to do this with his bow and arrow was truly impressive. Moreover, this fella knew how to play to his strengths. Firstly, he beat down the advantage that his opponent had before closing in on his opponent with every subsequent move. This was unlike how Fearless and the rest described them to be: without any tactics.
At the same time, the majority of the spectators started cursing.
“Idiot muscle man! Is your brain filled with only muscles?”
“Exactly! Who shoots an arrow to another person’s head? Uncultured!”
“Police, there is a shameless murderer here…”
“Kingdom of Hell, scram out of the gaming industry!”
The rest of the players, “…”
God of Death’s Left Hand, who won the match, didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
At this moment, Wang Yu finally realised what Fearless meant by staying away from players with such a reputation.

Wang Yu had no idea what the players from the Heavenly Fire Squad were like because of the lack of contact. However, their fans certainly portrayed a poor image on them by acting like that.
Just like what Fearless said, the players from Kingdom of Hell were indeed strong while the newbies from Heavenly Fire Squad were evidently not up to their standards.
The key to individual battles was naturally each individual’s strength. It was not hard to guess the outcome of the next few battles.
After Star Fire lost the opening match, they lost the next three matches as well. In the very last match, team leader Samadhi Fire could no longer sit and watch his team humiliated in this manner. Therefore, he chose to fight.
Concurrently, Kingdom of Hell also chose their fifth player – Sword of Thunderbolt.
“Sword of Thunderbolt?” When the host introduced the player, everyone from the Quan Zhen Sect was at a loss. Everyone was well familiar with all the players from Heavenly Fire Squad.
However, this was their first time hearing about Sword of Thunderbolt.
“Could it be a newbie?”
Just when everyone made their guesses, the camera turned to the two players.
Samadhi Fire was a renowned fire type Magician. Not only was he extremely good looking, he had a personal team of people to work on his packaging. Presently, he was dressed in a fire red magician robe while holding a staff with raging flames on it.
The moment he appeared on stage, it incited incredibly loud cheers.
This made all the non-Heavenly Fire Squad fans start mourning for their opponents. If this fella was filled by his opponent, the opponent would probably not be able to make it back to his accommodation safely.
When the camera turned to Sword of Thunderbolt’s face, the Quan Zhen Sect was dazed.
Moments later, everyone turned to look at Boson.
Boson stared at Sword of Thunderbolt as he muttered, “Ma… Mark?”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk…”
Wang Yu shook his head as he certainly did not expect Boson’s love rival to join a squad which Boson idolised.
The harsh reality hurts more than a novel.
Fearless and the rest looked at Sword of Thunderbolt before looking at Boson yet again. They didn’t know if they should continue supporting Kingdom of Hell.
“Brother Boson, this is your personal feud with that b*stard, right?” Fearless whispered to ask.
“En!” Boson nodded.
“Alright then… Go, Kingdom of Hell!”
Fearless shouted cautiously.
“F*ck…”
Everyone was stunned as they quickly stood further away from Boson.
However, Boson actually shouted, “Go! Do your best so I can personally send you to hell later on.”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk…”
Wang Yu sighed once more.
All of them were young men so it seemed reasonable to talk things out like a man. However, if something like that happened to oneself, nobody will be able to just brush it aside so easily.
While they were talking, the two players had already run towards the vantage point of the map.
Even though Sword of Thunderbolt was a Warrior, he added quite a few points on his Agility as his movement speed was pretty quick.
As a Magician, Samadhi Fire should be slow in his movement speed too. However, this fella did not look slow at all. Looking at the state that Samadhi Fire was in, it was evident that he used a wind type magic skill to increase his speed.
With his skill, Samadhi Fire was ultimately faster than Sword of Thunderbolt as he jumped onto the lookout tower. At this point, Sword of Thunderbolt was still about ten metres away from the tower.
The moment he arrived at the tower, the fans of the Heavenly Fire Squad screamed, “Samadhi is so handsome ahh…”

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
