A Guardian’s physical defense was ranked second among all the jobs in the game. It was only behind ranked number one: Templar.

However, a Guardian had specialised shield skills and was proficient in their skills. From a tank’s perspective, a Guardian was entirely worthy of being number one.

Moreover, a Guardian had an absolute advantage when coming up against an Archer.

After level 20, Sharpshooter would learn [Pierce] which made them capable of penetrating any armour regardless of how thick it was. However, shields were considered weapons and not armour so it was able to block off Archers’ arrows completely.

An impressive shield like Crotch Lord’s Shield of God would be capable of defending two waves of arrows from top Archers without any pressure.

While the shield in Dark Moon Soul’s hand was evidently not as good as Crotch Lord’s one, it was still a peak grade shield. It was definitely more than enough to deal with Yang Nuo’s arrows.

As for Yang Nuo’s close-combat abilities, a Guardian was still a Guardian. It just didn’t make sense for a Guardian to fear an Archer in close combat.

Therefore, the players from Dark Moon Squad immediately had their spirits lifted when they saw that Dark Moon Soul was the next one up.

Dark Moon Soul was even more confident than any of his compatriots. He was determined to win back some pride for himself and his team.

However, this Dark Moon Soul was a talkative fella with nothing good to say. Regardless of who he was up against, he had to provoke them before anything else. He had not learnt his lesson after being humiliated by Evil Rampage so after seeing Yang Nuo, his old habits kicked in again.

Yang Nuo sized Dark Moon Soul up before replying, “Aren’t you the humiliated one from the previous round?”

After spending so much time with the Quan Zhen Sect, Yang Nuo had learnt a few of such verbal skills.

“F*ck!” When Yang Nuo hurt him where it hurts the most, Dark Moon Soul was instantly unhappy. He pointed at Yang Nuo and said, “Miss, you are not cute at all!”
