《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1152. No Need To Chase A Cornered Enemy

An eye for an eye has been how the Quan Zhen Sect operated ever since the beginning. Moreover, they were being ambushed in their own home by the Twelve Celestial Bodies. This was not something that they could tolerate.
With the help of players from Sanguine Alliance to watch their coordinates, the whereabouts of the Twelve Celestial Bodies were all within grasp.
The Quan Zhen Sect followed the coordinates all the way into Salat City.
Due to the system settings in >, different players with different jobs would have different movement speed.
This was why the more comprehensive the allocation of squads were, the less flexible they would be. Ultimately, the faster players had to take care of the slower players.
However, the Quan Zhen Sect was different because they were equipped with a cape and every one of them were incredibly proficient in escaping/running. In terms of flexibility, less than five squads in the entire game, including professional teams, would be able to match them.
After all, experts like them were focused on competing and defeating their enemies. They weren’t like the Quan Zhen Sect who would be constantly on the run.
As they were getting closer and closer to the Twelve Celestial Bodies, everyone from the Quan Zhen Sect grew increasingly excited.
They were not getting excited because they were about to catch up with their enemies. They were only this excited because their opponents were the renowned Twelve Celestial Bodies.
The Twelve Celestial Bodies had been famous for quite some time and they had been performing outstandingly in the professional tournaments. Even though they retired and were no longer as good as before, they were still considered top experts of their generation.
The Quan Zhen Sect were also known hooligans in the game. Even though they were more infamous for the despicable things they did, no one could dispute their remarkable strength. In comparison to the current Twelve Celestial Bodies, they were basically on par.
One must know that the Quan Zhen Sect had also registered for the professional tournament this time.

There had always been a clear difference between professionals and non-professionals. Retired professionals were basically representative of the lower limit of professionals.
To be able to exchange blows with the current Twelve Celestial Bodies, one would be able to temper their own fighting abilities. More importantly, they would be able to prove to see if they had the qualifications to participate in the professional tournament.
If they couldn’t even take on this bunch of retired fellas, everyone could forget about humiliating themselves at the actual tournament.
Wang Yu might be in his own league but everyone else had their own pride. Nobody wants to continue riding on Wang Yu’s fame.
The Twelve Celestial Bodies could really be considered as the Quan Zhen Sect’s touchstone for this upcoming professional tournament.
Nobody in the game would be willing to admit that they were less capable unless actually being able to prove it.
However, just when everyone was very close to the Twelve Celestial Bodies, Fearless suddenly sounded out, “Not good! We fell into their trap!”
“???”
Hearing Fearless’ words, everyone was dazed as they turned to look at Fearless with a confused expression, “What’s going on?”
Fearless furrowed his brows as he pointed to the surrounding, “Look at the surroundings!”
“Surroundings?”
Everyone hurriedly looked around and when they saw the background around them, they were dumbfounded.
Earlier on, they were only focused on the coordinates and had completely ignored the changes to the scenes around them.
Presently, the Quan Zhen Sect was surrounded by shophouses and buildings. The streets were very narrow and the coordinates of the Twelve Celestial Bodies were actually at a small alley not too far ahead. This was essentially a perfect ambush spot.
The Quan Zhen Sect had been used to ambushing others so they were naturally more familiar with such an environment. They had done this countless times so it didn’t take long for them to realise that something was amiss.

“Let’s disperse!”
Fearless was a decisive person who instantly gave the orders to disperse.
Just when everyone was about to turn back, a voice from not too far away could be heard.
“Haha! Boss Fearless, why the hurry to leave?”
Everyone turned towards the voice and they saw an Assassin with a dagger hanging by the waist.
“It’s Ratty!”
The Quan Zhen Sect had been in contact with the Twelve Celestial Bodies before so they were not completely unfamiliar with them. It merely took one look for them to recognise Ratty.
“That’s right!” Ratty replied faintly, “Boss Fearless is a really capable man. You managed to make us suffer huge losses so casually and even chase us all the way to Salat City. You are indeed a skilled and daring person!”
“It’s nothing much!” Fearless continued, “Brother Ratty is pretty decent too. You’ve managed to wipe us out on several occasions. You are really living up to your legendary name.”
While the two of them were flattering each other, Fearless sent a message in the chat, “Ignore him; everyone, disperse!”
After saying that, Fearless pointed his staff to the back as he used a white cover to shield Crotch Lord. Crotch Lord used his shield to protect the Quan Zhen Sect while they retreated.
Before the Quan Zhen Sect could retreat far, yet another voice could be heard from the side, “Everyone, how can you not say hi before leaving?!”
Concurrently, Tiger brought Chen Long and the rest as they appeared from behind the Quan Zhen Sect. With their shield raised, they blocked off the escape path of the Quan Zhen Sect.
Crotch Lord grunted coldly when he saw that, “We, the Quan Zhen Sect, come and leave as we wish. Nobody can ever stop us.”
“Everyone, follow closely behind me!”
After saying that, Crotch Lord waved to the rest of them as he placed his shield in front of him and charged forward.
“Just you alone?” Tiger smirked as he also lowered his head and charged toward Crotch Lord.
Warriors had always been the most hot-tempered job in the game while Guardians were heavyweight players.
When such heavyweights engaged in a PK, their display of skills would never be as impressive as jobs such as Pugilist or Assassins. However, the clash between the most primitive form of strength was still a spectacle to watch.
“Boom!!!”
Following the loud explosion, two muscular men clashed with one another.
In that moment, everyone was momentarily deafened by the clash of the heavy shields.
Crotch Lord and Tiger were both forced back a few steps by each other. They exchanged glances before muttering to themselves the same thing, “What a powerful fella!!”
Tiger was a proper professional. As he had been retired for some time now, his strength dipped slightly but that was merely in terms of his reaction and coordination. However, not much coordination was required when two Guardians clashed.
Moreover, Tiger was equipped with exceptional items by spending the money of local tyrant Feng Yun Realm. How was it possible that some unknown newbie from the Quan Zhen Sect actually managed to match him?
Crotch Lord was equally as shocked when compared to Tiger. Crotch Lord was also considered to be well-equipped with peak grade items and the shield he wielded was a god-grade equipment. Furthermore, Crotch Lord was even three levels higher than Tiger.
Even with the use of a god-grade equipment, he was merely able to match Tiger evenly. This was the true mark of a professional expert.
Just when the two Guardians were equally as astonished with each other, the Warrior beside Tiger, Old Cow, charged towards the Quan Zhen Sect without hesitation. Boson spotted that so he quickly drew his big sword to welcome him.
At the same time, Chen Long, who was behind Tiger, went into [Stealth] mode.

Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
