With a bright radiance, followed by the sound of the realignment of bones, a layer of bone armour instantly appeared over Tyrone’s body. After fully encompassing Tyrone’s body within, the bone fragments flew over to surround Wang Yu.

Seeing this, a frown appeared on Wang Yu’s face. He hurriedly withdrew his hand and forcefully shoved Tyrone’s chest with his two hands, making use of the momentum to flip backwards in mid-air, carefully landing at a spot a distance away from Tyrone.

Without the pressure of Wang Yu anymore, Tyrone’s body immediately propped upright like a zombie. Without waiting for Wang Yu to make his move, the staff on Tyrone’s hand flashed a blue radiance as he drew an arc on the ground in front of him. Shortly after, a wall of bones erupted from the ground between Wang Yu and Tyrone, separating both of them.

After raising the bone wall, a bone spear abruptly appeared in Tyrone’s left hand. With a throw, the bone spear flew towards Wang Yu, who was situated on the other side of the bone wall.

Even though the bone wall was extremely sturdy, it possessed some sort of intelligence on its own. The bone spear that was thrown from Tyrone’s hand was able to easily pass through the bone wall, as if it were a layer of water instead, before soaring towards Wang Yu’s direction.

Instinctively, Wang Yu tilted his head and casually avoided the oncoming bone spear. However, without any reduction in its speed, the bone spear continued its flight and directly pierced through the Mystery Observer’s head.

“Pssh!”

Like a knife cutting through butter, Mystery Observer wasn’t even able to make any sound before his head exploded into pieces, turning into a ray of light shortly after.

The unfortunate Mystery Observer was once again caught by the BOSS.

It couldn’t be helped. The Assassin job class excelled in PVP fights and weren’t weak when it came to clearing mobs as well. However, when it came to BOSSes, they were placed in a tight spot.

That was because a large majority of the BOSSes had very receptive senses, and if an Assassin’s level of [Stealth] was insufficient, it was very easy for their location to be exposed. Without their [Stealth] ability, an Assassin was even weaker than a Pugilist, thus they were naturally one of the first targets of most AIBOSSes.

Being targeted twice by the BOSS was pretty reasonable, and Mystery Observer himself already saw it coming. After all, the saying that “Assassins are always the ones to get injured in Dungeons” was a conclusion that most players had arrived at ever since > had been released.

However, no one would have expected that despite Mystery Observer having carefully hidden himself quite a distance away from the BOSS, he would still have been pierced to death in a single strike. Clearly, Tyrone’s attack range was extremely terrifying.

With an array of footwork, combined with numerous twists and turns to his body, Wang Yu seemed like a fish swimming against the currents. Regardless of how many bone spears Tyrone threw, none of them was able to leave a mark on Wang Yu. Soon after, the ground around Wang Yu was filled with bone spears.

Seeing that none of his attacks were effective, Tyrone’s face paled a great deal. The spiritual fires in his eyes radiated a temporary brilliance, as the intensity of the blue glow in his staff reached the extreme. At this moment, Tyrone’s bony and withered left hand clenched tightly into a fist.

“Crack!”

The sound of bones shattering resounded inside Wang Yu’s ears.

“Not good!”

When Wang Yu heard the sound, he frowned once more and was about to take another leap backwards. However, at this moment, the bone spears around him started to gather and flew towards Wang Yu. Without giving him a chance to escape, countless bone spears had already gathered to form into a huge bone cage, trapping Wang Yu within it.

As one of the peak control skills in the Magician Job Class, it was a control skill that could instantly trap any target within a bone cage.

Thus, despite the flurry of blows that Wang Yu struck out against the bone cage, the bone cage still remained intact. Wang Yu’s attacks could only produce the effect of that of a drummer beating on his drums.

Seeing Wang Yu struggling like a bird trapped within a cage, Tyrone burst out in laughter. Shortly after, he removed the bone wall and walked towards the bone cage. He smiled and said to Wang Yu, “You are pretty strong, little brat, but you simply lack the brains. This cage of mine isn’t something an ant like you could hope to break apart.”

Upon seeing Tyrone taking down the bone wall and delivering himself in front of Wang Yu, a suspicious smile played out on Wang Yu’s face.

Seeing Wang Yu’s expression, Tyrone immediately felt a sense of foreboding. All of a sudden, the Wang Yu in the bone cage immediately vanished into a ray of light, before appearing directly in front of Tyrone.

“Hehe! I bet you didn’t expect that Daddy here was capable of using [Flash]! Smashing the cage was merely to lure you out of your rat hole!”

Wang Yu cheekily smiled, and with a flick of his hand, the weapon in his hands switched to that of a longsword. Wang Yu immediately took an aggressive step forwards and thrust the longsword into Tyrone’s chest.

“Pfft!”

The longsword pierced through a small crack within the layer of bone armour that covered Tyrone, and Wang Yu felt as if he had pierced into a piece of dead meat.

Shortly after, a damage indicator appeared above Tyrone’s head. After getting pierced, Tyrone’s body violently shook as he brought down the staff in his hand to strike Wang Yu’s head.

Wang Yu immediately dropped his hand and twisted his body sideways to avoid Tyrone’s counter-attack. With a twist of his body, and with the longsword being held in a reverse grip in his hand, the longsword viciously slashed across the area below Tyrone’s ribs.

Another damage indicator appeared above the head of Tyrone once more. Unable to withstand the impact of Wang Yu’s strikes, Tyrone had to take a step back and thrust his staff into the ground to counter the momentum. In haste, he struck out with his staff once more, targeting the back of Wang Yu’s head.

At the end of the day, Tyrone was a Magician, and was an extremely sinister and crafting one at that. Thus, sneak attacks and laying traps were more suited to his style of combat. As for close-quarter combat…

It wasn’t that Wang Yu was arrogant whatsoever, however, Wang Yu had already seen the peak BOSS in the game, and apart from the vast disparity in attributes, in terms of combat standards, they were simply too inferior in Wang Yu’s eyes. Even the Holy Dragon King Dales wasn’t able to be placed in Wang Yu’s eyes, much less a mere Departed Spirit Magician like Tyrone.

Facing Tyrone’s childish attacks, Wang Yu didn’t even bother turning his head to look at it. With his right foot as a pivot and his back still against Tyrone, his body spun around from the right side of Tyrone to his left.

Tyrone’s staff came into contact with nothing but air, causing his head and both his arms to overcompensate to his right side, resulting in a gaping weak spot to appear on the left side of his neck. With both arms on the sword hilt, Wang Yu exerted the entirety of his strength into this strike, hacking the sword into Tyrone’s neck.

Following the appearance of this damage indicator, the HP bar above Tyrone’s head visibly dropped by a significant amount. After receiving this attack, Tyrone had to retreat a few steps back and was about to raise his staff to unleash a new wave of abilities.

Within two strides, Wang Yu appeared in front of Tyrone once more and slashed his sword towards Tyrone’s wrist, causing his casting to be interrupted. Like this, the two of them engaged in another melee brawl once more.

Accurately speaking, it was more of Tyrone receiving a one-sided beatdown from Wang Yu.

When going up against an Ancient-class BOSS like Tyrone, a slight carelessness would result in immediate doom.

Thus, before Tyrone could gather his momentum to attack once more, it was best to attack him when he was at his weakest. And naturally, that was when Wang Yu had the opportunity to engage him in close-quarter combat.

After all, Tyrone wasn’t a melee BOSS, and hand-to-hand combat wasn’t a field he excelled in. Even if it could be temporarily boosted, it wouldn’t be able to rise to the point of being a threat to Wang Yu.
