《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1043. Freedom City

The market price of an Obsidian equipment now was around ten thousand gold. The price of clothing and weapons were about one fold more expensive than spare parts. From head to toe, Feng Yun Realm was covered with Obsidian-grade equipment and the total cost of his entire set would cost much more than this price he offered.
Looking at his entire outfit, Wang Yu really thought that he was going to offer an astronomical price but who knew this fella was actually this petty.
After all, this was the City Lord Seal so if Wang Yu sold it for less than the cost of a complete set of equipment, even he would feel wronged for the City Lord Seal. In that case, he would rather not sell it.
“Haha!” Feng Yun Realm laughed as he replied proudly, “Mr. Iron Bull is indeed a person who knows what’s what.”
“…” Wang Yu twitched his mouth as he felt that this fella was not just petty but also treated him as a ground beetle.
“What about this? You name a price and if I think it is suitable, I will make a deal with you right here,” Feng Yun Realm smiled and replied.
“There’s no need for that!” Wang Yu shook his hand, “I do not wish to do any business with you and I’m already planning to sell it at the auction. If you are really not lacking in money, you can go attend the auction tomorrow.”
After saying that, Wang Yu turned his head and ignored this fella.
“This…” There was a possibility that Feng Yun Realm was that kind of person with a low EQ. Even after saying all that, Feng Yun Realm continued bothering him with the same arrogant tone.
He smiled faintly, “It is okay if you don’t want to make business with me. However, if you put this to sale at the auction, it will eventually still end up in my hands. So why do you want to let the people at the auction earn that processing fee?”
Once again, Feng Yun Realm’s tone was as though he was the number one expert and richest expert in the entire world. That attitude was utterly disgusting.

Wang Yu had seen plenty of confident people but this was the first time he interacted with one who was as annoying as this fella.
Wang Yu didn’t answer Feng Yun Realm’s question as he pointed beneath the airship.
“Can you see how high this airship is flying?”
Feng Yun Realm looked down, “En, it is pretty high.”
“That’s good!” Wang Yu glared at Feng Yun Realm before saying, “Continue blabbering and I will throw you down.”
“You!” Feng Yun Realm warned, “You better not refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit…”
Wow! He really had the nerve to threaten Wang Yu.
“Guards!” Wang Yu pointed to the guard at the side and called for him.
“City Lord, what orders do you have for me?” The guard greeted Wang Yu respectfully in a solemn manner.
At the moment, the airship was still flying within the periphery of Sky Dragon City so the guard would still be following Wang Yu’s instructions.
Wang Yu pointed at Feng Yun Realm and said, “Throw him off!”
“Yes!”
Following that, the guard walked towards Feng Yun Realm in big strides under the astonished gaze of Feng Yun Realm.
Feng Yun Realm turned pale with fright before pointing to Wang Yu and the guard, “You… You dare to do that? Do you not know who I am?”
Wang Yu was naturally not interested to know who Feng Yun Realm was and the guard was certainly even more uninterested. Before Feng Yun Realm could finish his sentence, the guard swung his spear and stabbed towards Feng Yun Realm.
Feng Yun Realm had never experienced the strength of the guard so he didn’t know what to expect. In the end, he didn’t even have the capability to fight back and in less than a few seconds, he was tossed off the airship.
“You people better watch out…”
“So f*cking irritating…” After watching Feng Yun Realm thrown down the airship, Wang Yu dug his ears.
Freedom City could be considered one of the most unique main cities in the game.
It was unique because it was an absolute neutral main city. Moreover, Freedom City was not anything like the other neutral city, Sin City where everything was in chaos and disorder. On the contrary, everything in Freedom City was in perfect order and could be said to be in a more regulated state than Vatican City.

In this place, there were no restrictions between factions. The Light Faction and the Dark Faction lived peacefully and it was a free and prosperous city.
This was the main reason to start an auction in this place. After all, this was the only place where all players could talk business peacefully.
After getting off the airship, Wang Yu revealed a dumbfounded expression when he saw the players in Freedom City.
Even though Twilight City was also a neutral city, the background story was that the Neutral Faction and the Light Faction were in an alliance. Therefore, every player from Twilight City was also a player of the Light Faction and even their jobs belonged to the Light Faction.
There was a saying about how people who walk different paths cannot make plans together. After some players from Twilight City chose to join the Dark Faction, they would naturally move to a Dark Faction main city to avoid being targeted by others. Therefore, up till today, Wang Yu had only seen a limited number of Dark Faction jobs.
Half of Freedom City was filled with Dark Faction’s players as there were all kinds of people around. There were the Orcs, Elves, Atlanta people and many other kinds of many shapes and sizes. Just by appearance, Wang Yu felt unfamiliar, let alone their jobs.
“Hey! Why are you just standing there?”
Just when Wang Yu was staring blankly, a voice sounded from a stall not too far away from him.
Wang Yu looked over as he saw Fearless smiling at him.
Wang Yu walked over to Fearless and pulled a stool to sit down, “You’re fast!”
“Indeed!” Fearless smiled, “This place is very different from Twilight City, right?”
“Hey, people here are really dressing in a very weird manner.” Wang Yu pointed at one of the Orc Warrior not too far away as he exclaimed. That person looked so ugly Wang Yu almost wanted to go over to punch him.
“Tsk!” Fearless maintained his smile as he replied, “Dark Faction is filled with a bunch of dirty and ugly fellas so I’m not surprised they look like that.”
The airship area was the only way in and out of Freedom City. Therefore, there were plenty of players in that area and there were quite a number of players from the Dark Faction seated around Wang Yu and Fearless.
After Fearless said that, Wang Yu immediately sensed death stares from many others.
This was truly the work of the Quan Zhen Sect. They were merely having a conversation with themselves and they managed to offend so many people.
When Wang Yu saw those expressions, he furrowed his brows but Fearless told him, “Don’t worry, they will not dare to do anything to us. The law and order here is nothing like what we’ve seen before!”
After saying that, Fearless pointed at one of the guards nearby.
Fearless was indeed one of the most despicable men in the Quan Zhen Sect. Knowing that the people here wouldn’t dare to do anything to him, he openly offended so many of them just for his own satisfaction.
Indeed, these players staring angrily at Fearless were merely staring. None of them stepped out to say anything.
Everyone knew that the Quan Zhen Sect enjoyed watching the expressions of those infuriated with them but incapable of doing anything to them. The crowd around them had certainly fallen for Fearless’ ploy.
When Fearless saw the expressions of the people around him, he stood up feeling pleased about himself, “Let’s go! We have things to settle so we shall not stay here with these ugly people!”
Wang Yu stood up and opened up the distance with Fearless.
“Haha!” Seeing how Wang Yu was acting, Fearless couldn’t help but comment, “Don’t tell me you’re worried that their attack on me will affect you?”
“No!”
Wang Yu shook his head, “I’m not worried if players attack you. I’m more worried if the guards started attacking those players who wanted to attack you and I might get hurt in that process since there are so many of them.”
Fearless was speechless, “…”

The Shadow Paradigm - Book 1: Project Orb Weaver
Gardening, cooking, innovation, preservation, charity events... Madzistrale, Tom and Gabzryel does it all. But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Although both groups are aiming to make humanity stand stronger, their ideals and methods could not be further apart. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple
