《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1021. The Frog And The Fly

When dealing with a BOSS like Heavenly Dragon, Apocalypse’s players had not short of ways to attack him. What they lacked was an effective condition and environment for them to attack.
After all, Heavenly Dragon was a level 80 Ancient-grade BOSS which cannot be dealt with by players who did not even have the rights to do the awakening quest at the moment.
Such fuelling battle tactic was casually known as “getting a baby to save the elderly” which was the most avoided method by players. However, even if they wanted to give up their lives now, they could not. This showed how desperate Apocalypse’s players were.
Based on usual trends, only when everyone was the most desperate, the world-saving hero would appear.
On this issue, our Wang Yu had never disappointed everyone.
As Confucius said: The world can count on Brother Yu, a fierce man with few words.
Seeing how Heavenly Dragon had finished gathering his [Double Dragon Strike] and was about to throw it out, a flash of light appeared. Wang Yu’s burly body suddenly appeared behind Heavenly Dragon.
At the same time, Wang Yu pressed his hands into a cone shape, and forcefully rose them, exactly hitting straight into Heavenly Dragon’s armpits.
Everyone knew that armpits were the softest point of a human body and was also where it was the most ticklish. After Wang Yu struck him, Heavenly Dragon’s body instinctively couched towards the ground, hugging his arms together and his Double Dragon Strike was thrown right in front of his feet.
Just then, Wang Yu leaped up. He waved his arm and a longsword appeared in his hands before he aggressively stabbed it into the back of Heavenly Dragon’s neck.

This stab by Wang Yu caused great damage.
“Roar!!!”
Heavenly Dragon was in pain as he roared towards the sky while swiping the spear he had in his hands towards his back.
It was said that a spear was just like a string but although Heavenly Dragon was using it, he used it as a spear, relying completely on his brute strength as he waved it and smashed it around.

With such standards, to Wang Yu, it was non-professional. Wang Yu was after all a grandmaster so of course he would be so unlucky to be killed by such amateur moves.
Seeing how Heavenly Dragon’s shoulders moved, Wang Yu knew that this idiot wanted to wave his spear backwards so before it reached behind, Wang Yu had already turned to Heavenly Dragon’s front. As Heavenly Dragon’s arms were behind, his front was an open door. Wang Yu naturally lifted the sword in his hand and stabbed Heavenly Dragon’s throat.

Another damage value appeared as Heavenly Dragon’s HP bar was reduced significantly once more.
“F*ck! F*ck! Where the hell did such a scary person come from?”
Wang Yu was in disguise as amongst the Apocalypse players present. Only Nine Solitary Spears and a few core players knew him. To keep the plan to assassinate Heavenly Dragon confidential, Nine Solitary Spears did not expose the disguised Wang Yu.
Hence, Apocalypse’s players who did not know where did this expert appear from had their jaws dropped and neck stretched as their faces froze in shock.
They were not weak and knew that monsters’ strength could not be judged from their appearance. If they did not know how strong Heavenly Dragon was, they would think he was a weakling based on how Wang Yu acted.
However, Apocalypse was the only guild which directly confronted Heavenly Dragon so they knew very well how fierce he was. Several thousands of their players were exterminated by Heavenly Dragon in a few minutes. If this unformidable wanted to raid a city, no one could stop him.
However, suddenly, someone appeared to take on Heavenly Dragon and even beat him up. This view was incredibly unbelievable and everyone did not know how to use words to express their current state of mind.
The Dragon Race was a proud race. Although Heavenly Dragon was not a pure breed, he still had the blood of the Dragon Race. After being beaten like an insect so many times, he was completely angered. He opened his mouth wide, wanting to use his [Dragon Whistle] to attack everyone.

While Apocalypse was fighting Heavenly Dragon just now, Wang Yu was watching from nearby so he knew how good Heavenly Dragon was.
As he opened his mouth, it was either a [Dragon Whistle] or a [Dragon Breath], both equally deadly skills.
At the exact moment, Wang Yu leaped up and stepped into Heavenly Dragon’s embrace while strongly pushing upwards with both hands.
“Emmmmm!”
Heavenly Dragon’s original ground-shaking roar was instantly trapped in his mouth by Wang Yu, letting out a heavy nasal sound. At the same time, a thread of smoke appeared above Heavenly Dragon’s head.
“Heh!”
Wang Yu landed on the ground with joy as he got an unexpected takeaway.
Killing while he was incapacitated was the true way to go since ancient times. Seeing how Heavenly Dragon was in a daze, Wang Yu moved behind him. *Stab* and another *stab*, he put in two more stabs.
Two damages floated up and Heavenly Dragon’s HP dropped significantly again.
Heavenly Dragon was after all a BOSS, a half-beast BOSS moreover, so he had very high resistance to control skills, even though it was his own skill. Hence, he quickly recovered.
The roar was dismissed by the dizziness. Heavenly Dragon once again waved his spear at Wang Yu.
Wang Yu knew that he could not recklessly take on Heavenly Dragon so seeing that he turned around, Wang Yu calmly jumped behind lightly.
“Boom!!!”
Heavenly Dragon smashed a big dent in the solid ground instantly. The wide and neat central street saw a huge crack appear on it.
“Hu…” Seeing what happened, everyone took a deep breath.
This was indeed a half-dragon human. Was there anything more earth-shaking than this?
Of course, there was!
Wang Yu quickly proved this true.
As a martial artist, Wang Yu naturally understood how one with great strength could defeat ten with great skills.
Originally, Wang Yu wanted to torture his opponent to death based on his agility but after seeing how strong Heavenly Dragon was, Wang Yu instantly threw this idea to the back of his head.
Although Heavenly Dragon was a strength-style BOSS, he had the blood of a human so he was not too slow. Furthermore, he also knew long-distance attack and control skills. As an ancient-grade BOSS, his growth could not be belittled. When dealing with someone like this, there was little room for mistakes and he could not rely on luck.
There was no one on earth with the perfect kungfu skills, even Wang Yu did not. Hence, when dealing with such a BOSS, no one could ensure they did not make a single mistake.
After all, the faster they move, the bigger their movement; and the bigger their movement, the greater their loophole… When dealing with a scary person like Heavenly Dragon, if they exposed their loopholes, they were simply seeking death.
Wang Yu and Heavenly Dragon were now like a frog trying to catch a fly. Whoever showed their weakness would lose their advantage, especially if the fly flew rashly.
Hence, instead of using his skills to fly around randomly, he stayed still to curb the moving one, resting instead of moving, so that he could wait and see what his opponent wanted to do.
At this thought, Wang Yu smiled and spread open his arms, and changed the weapon in his hand to a long pole. He stood still opposite Heavenly Dragon, like a tree, then waved his long pole provocatively, trying to taunt Heavenly Dragon.

It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
