Even if he were to go after the case, it was just Little Bookworm getting beat up, so there were no real losses incurred. On Peerless Heaven’s side, a few of their men died and the losses on both sides were considered to be broke even. Wang Yu needed to save Evil Rampage a bit of pride too.

After taking care of the matters at City of Hope, Wang Yu went back to Twilight City.

As for Little Bookworm, he made his decision to stay in City of Hope.

The first thing that Wang Yu did back in Twilight City, was to go to the blacksmith.

The old blacksmith Simba still had that barely alive look on his face. He raised his eyelids by just a bit when Wang Yu came in.

“I have completed the quest!”

“Oh, then can I trouble you to pass this to Ally?” Simba spoke without any emotions.

“Of course.” Wang Yu pouted, “Where’s my reward then?”

Initially, Wang Yu and Simba had agreed that once the quest was completed, Simba would help Wang Yu level up his secondary job.

“Reward?” Simba shook his head, “What reward?”

“What do you think? It’s my reward for my secondary job level up.” This NPC fella even learnt to renege on a debt.

“About this…” Simba smiled and said, “I forgot to tell you that Magical Refining is a secret skill from the ancient Titans Tribe, and the highest grade is only the top grade. I told you to increase your secondary job to the highest grade, and you did it. So there is no need for you to come find me now!”

“I…”

After listening to what Simba said, Wang Yu was close to using profanities despite his good temper. What did he even mean? Playing tricks on the language, giving him a reward that he did not even know of?

Wang Yu did not have an easy time completing this quest. He was chased not only by players, but also by a Level 100 BOSS, and it was a narrow escape for him.

Simba’s pupils shivered, then he said nicely, “This is a quest item, why would you need it?”

“It’s pretty.” Wang Yu scanned the Soul of the Gods and said, “The female players love this sort of shiny and glittery stuff. I think the least I can get from selling this is five hundred gold, just enough to cover my travel expenses.”

Seeing Wang Yu’s serious expression, Simba panicked and said immediately, “Aiya, look at my silly brain! Drank too much alcohol again just now! What did you say again, reward?”

“Yes! Reward!” Wang Yu nodded.

Simba said helplessly, “The Magical Refining was definitely at the highest grade already and I can’t level it up for you even if you kill me. I got this from travelling around China a few years back though, do you think you’d have the chance to use it?”

While saying that, Simba took out a white feather.

After seeing the feather, Wang Yu got even angrier and shouted, “You do not hold your words well, old man. I treated you as a teacher and went all the way to help you and yet what I get is a feather?”

Indeed, Wang Yu had a very low incentive to go for this mission and he only did it because of Simba. Who knew that this NPC old man would just give Wang Yu a single feather for whatever he had done? It was as good as not giving him anything.

“This is not a normal feather and it’s the most valuable thing I have with me right now. Take it or leave it.” Simba shrugged and gave an uninterested look. Such a bad personality, no wonder he was still single.

“Of course I want it, why would I not?” Wang Yu was already used to this NPC’s behavior and took the feather.

A triple-no tool could not be sold or disposable after he took it and Simba definitely did it on purpose.

Wang Yu was not happy after the interaction with Simba and looked at the Soul Of The Gods and sent a message to Fearless, “I want to steal a tool!”

“Oh? What happened?” Fearless was surprised at Wang Yu’s idea. Wang Yu was Quan Zhen Sect’s last ray of hope for having upright morals, but now even he succumbed?

Wang Yu did not hide anything and described whatever happened to him from meeting Simba to Ally, to Fearless.

“Oh, that was what happened…” Fearless smiled and continued, “That’s easy.”

“How?”

“You have to think in their shoes.” Fearless continued, “If someone was chasing after your wife and gave her a gift, and your wife used that same gift to make you happy, would you be happy?”

“Of course not!” Wang Yu exclaimed, “Do I look like that kind of a person to you?”

“Then it would be hard…” Fearless said, “I think that the city lord is still someone of authority, and I don’t think he would be that kind of a person either. You should know what I mean already.”

“You really are a scoundrel, Fearless!” Wang Yu replied and exclaimed with admiration.

“Is that even considered a praise?” Fearless smiled and said.

“What do you think?” Wang Yu questioned.

“Yes!” said Fearless.
