Esther definitely would not give up the Soul of the Gods willingly, hence the only way to get it was to kill her. There was no difference between defeating and killing then.

When Wang Yu was still mumbling to himself, he could feel that Esther toned down her aura and also kept her Holy Wings back.

Wang Yu checked Esther out to find out that Esther’s attributes was still a mystery but he could at least see her name and her level now.

At this point, her level dropped to level 80…

“You leveled down…”

Wang Yu looked at Esther, stunned and lost for words.

Esther smiled and took out a red ball from her chest. She touched it a few times into the air and a few red rays locked the ball mid-air.

“This is the Soul of the Gods that you want!” Esther said.

“You… you gave it up? Why?” Wang Yu could not understand did she do that.

Esther still had her prideful look and said calmly, “As a Knight, being fair was my code of conduct. If I wanted to kill you, I would not have done this. Since we are battling, I will give up skills that do not belong to me.”

“This is…” Wang Yu looked at her with much thought.

This was the definition of a Knight. Just like the knights-errant in ancient China, even though they were so traditional, their morals and nobility were not to be looked down on. You could dislike them but you could not disrespect them.

As a person who was deeply influenced by Chinese culture since young, he understood this better than anyone else. Looking at Esther’s seriousness, Wang Yu nodded and said, “I have met a few people from the Sanctum of Light, but you are the only one that I approve.”

If Esther attacked him with her level 100 self, Wang Yu would have to dodge. However, if it was the level 80 Esther, then Wang Yu had nothing to be afraid of.

Wang Yu had already battled a level 80 City Lord BOSS. Technically, Count Wylie was stronger than Esther, so Esther’s attack was within Wang Yu’s abilities to withstand.

When faced with Esther’s slash, Wang Yu did not move back but advanced forward instead. At the same time, he grabbed her left wrist with his right hand and went under her arm to her back.

Before Esther could keep her sword, Wang Yu pushed his left hand up and used [Savage Maul] with his right hand. Esther felt a tension on her left arm and lost her balance. At this moment, Wang Yu used [Thunder God’s Stomp] on Esther’s calves and she finally lost control of her body and fell to the ground.

BOSS being a BOSS, after lying to the ground, Esther rolled backwards then stood up immediately and teleported to where Wang Yu was again. Wang Yu wanted to grab Esther, but she accelerated and knocked Wang Yu with her shoulders while attacking him with her sword in one hand.

Wang Yu suffered an airborne effect.

[Heaven Ascending Slash]! This was an upgraded version of [Rising Dragon Slash] which could not be grappled and could result in an airborne effect on the opponent.

“[Flying Swallow Slash]!”

Just when Wang Yu was being thrown into the air, Esther turned into several sword rays and grabbed Wang Yu then smashed him onto the floor.

A round of shock waves spread and Wang Yu shattered into pieces…

“It was fake again?”

Esther saw that Wang Yu shattered into pieces and pushed against the floor to get herself up, then jumped half a metre to the right.

Right at this moment, Wang Yu landed at where Esther was standing from the sky.

“Quick growth,” Wang Yu complimented Esther after missing his attack.

Esther was indeed someone who could be an ultimate BOSS. She took very little time to get from only knowing how to use skills to learning how to dodge attacks.

Esther snorted and slashed twice to form a cross which flew to Wang Yu.

The speed of Heaven and Earth Cross Sword was not too fast and Wang Yu could easily dodge 2 sword rays by jumping up a few times.

However, when Wang Yu was busy dodging the rays, Esther touched her body with her left hand and the Cross Sword in her hands shone brightly. Right after that, shadows flew out from Esther’s Cross Sword.

“???”

Wang Yu felt something was wrong and turned his head, but got engulfed by sword shadows.

Esther showed a face of victory.

[Shadow Sword]!

One of the Holy Knight’s ultimate weapons, it could summon nine sword shadows to attack its opponent. Every sword shadow’s damage increases with the user’s skill level.

Being used by Esther, every ray of the Sword Shadow had the full damage. In addition to that, every ray still included the damage from shock waves due to the fact that Esther was Holy Knight.

However, right at this moment, a weird explosion noise came from the place where Wang Yu was at and Esther looked over. The sword shadows that were attacking Wang Yu exploded and vanished into thin air instantly.

Wang Yu carried a one-handed sword and appeared in the sight of Esther again. After seeing Wang Yu, Esther’s gaze became empty.

Though in her own beliefs, being fearless was a virtue. However this time, a hint of fear flashed across her face.

“You… you dodged it!” Esther asked in shock after a while.

Wang Yu kept his sword and said, “Small trick that is not worth mentioning!”

Indeed, though this was an ultimate skill, it’s speed could not be matched with Esther’s usual speed for her sword. Also, it would explode in just one blow, and Wang Yu felt that it was weaker than [Flying Swallow Slash] and that it was too easy to overcome.

Wang Yu simply just poked his sword several times to overcome this attack.
