《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 879. A Small Monster With A Big Move

“Hehe!” Wang Yu flipped his hand and took out a large sword and passed it to Boson, “This is for you.”
The sword was surrounded in purple light and looked very much like the Shield of God which gave off a very strong ancient vibe. It was exactly the Sword of God which Wang Yu snatched from the BOSS.
Seeing Wang Yu give the Sword of God to Boson, Crotch Lord panicked, “Old Bull, didn’t you say you’ll let me choose the equipment first?”
Crotch Lord indeed absorbed Quan Zhen Sect’s essence well and exhibit shamelessness to the maximum. He had long laid eyes on this Sword of God although it is not known why a Guardian wanted a double-handed sword.
“Did I say so?” Wang Yu tilted his head.
“Of course! You even said you would convince the rest for me…” Crotch Lord said.
“Oh.” Wang Yu nodded then forced the Sword of God to Boson then said, “Quickly keep it, don’t let Crotch Lord see.”
Crotch Lord, “…”
Boson took the sword and looked at its attributes. He instantly smiled widely and said, “Thanks, Old Bull.”
Crotch Lord upsetly said, “Old Bull, even the black equipment aren’t as dark as you!”
Fearless interrupted, “It is his business, how can you say it is wrong? Your shield came out from that boss. If you want the sword, give Boson the shield.”
“How did this come out of the box? It was…” Crotch Lord wanted to explain but Fearless pointed at the sullen-looking Firm as a Rock.
Seeing Firm as a Rock’s equipment, Crotch Lord knowingly shut his mouth…
Firm as a Rock’s equipment had been in the BOSS’ stomach so it was also a product of the BOSS but it was incomparable to his weapon.

“Ok, let’s move on.”
Seeing Quan Zhen Sect get more good things, Captain Don’t Open Fire was increasingly upset. Seeing that Crotch Lord finished searching the box, he led his men and entered the door.
Quan Zhen Sect was happy over gaining both money and equipment so they were not bothered by Captain Don’t Open Fire’s dousing. They happily followed him but just then, Wang Yu suddenly ran to the box.
“Old Bull, what are you doing?” Fearless saw Wang Yu lag behind so he turned to ask puzzledly.
Wang Yu pointed at the box and said, “Why does no one want this?”
Everyone heard Wang Yu and laughed, “Haha, Old Bull, are you kidding? What an idiot…”
In the game’s settings, treasure boxes were like corpses. The could only be searched but not taken. Only a game idiot like Wang Yu could ask something so commonsensical.
Void Blade’s players were even more shocked. Who knew that Twilight City’s top fighter did not even know such basic game knowledge.
However, the next thing shut everyone up.
Wang Yu bent forward and carried the box up.
“This, this is impossible! Didn’t the game forbid treasure boxes from being taken?” Everyone’s eyeballs almost flew out after seeing the box in Wang Yu’s hands.
“This was Silver Horn’s box, not a treasure box.” Wang Yu said and showed the box’s attributes.
God of Fortune’s Box of Seals (Magic Equipment) (Legendary)
Money Seal: Initiative skill. Seal all targets within the skill range. Skill range 300. Consumes 10,000 gold coins each time.
Money Branding: Initiative skill. Seal all branded targets. Skill range 2,000. Consumes 20,000 gold coins each time. Branding chant has yet to be set.
“How is this a magic equipment? This is a money-scamming toy.”

Everyone came to a consensus on what they thought of the box in Wang Yu’s hand.
Damn, it cost 10,000 gold coins for every use. For normal players, even if they save up their entire lives, they might not even be able to use it once.
Furthermore, for lowly skilled monsters, it would not be worth the money. For formidable BOSS, everyone would eagerly kill it for better items so even if they had money, they would not spend it on this box.
Regardless, this item wanted to seal players’ wallets… Whoever used it was an idiot.
“No matter what, it is still equipment… It is better than nothing.” Wang Yu mumbled and kept the box.
Without God’s guard’s defence, the symbol on the stone door lighted up. Everyone walked to the Five Direction Temple’s door and the stone door sucked everyone in.
The scene changed and everyone arrived at the temple’s courtyard.
Five Direction Temple was a temple with a typical oriental architectural design which looks refreshing in this westernised mythical world. However, the courtyard looked very different.
The NPC in the courtyard was like those human-like monsters in the previous two scenes. However, some looked fierce while some looked normal.
Fierce Martial Arts Monk (LV65) (Elite)
HP: 250000
MP: 50000
Skills: Heavenly Tyrant Fist Dance, Flying Dragon Explores the Sea
Talent: Storm
Five Direction Temple’s Guard (LV65) (Elite)
HP: 200000
MP: 100000
Skills: Fiery Dragon Palm, Ice Dragon Break
Talent: Spirit Protection
Everyone was very familiar with these monsters’ skills as these were Pugilists’ two job systems’ regular skills. Heavenly Tyrant Fist Dance and Flying Dragon Explores the Sea were the two big moves when the Martial Arts Monks reach level 45 and 50 respectively. Fiery Dragon Palm and Ice Dragon Break were the two big moves when Spirit Masters reach level 45 and 50.
Although Pugilist jobs had their disadvantages, every job’s big moves could inflict high damage. In the face of these monsters, everyone did not know what to do.
They had no idea. If it was one or two of them, they could easily take care of them but now it was an entire courtyard of such monsters, way more than in the second scene. If they acted rashly, even though they were all Pugilists, a hundred big moves thrown towards them at once could disregard every battle formation they had and bomb them into ashes.
“Who on earth designed this dungeon… Small monsters know players’ big moves. How can we live?” Seeing such a bunch of scary small monsters, everyone stood at the corner and did not dare to move forward.
“How about letting old Bull test them?” Captain Don’t Open Fire was smart for once, knowing who to seek help from.
Based on Wang Yu’s abilities, even if he triggered the monsters’ aggro, he can lure them to somewhere else and let the rest escape.
“Old Bull, what do you think?” Although Fearless was Quan Zhen Sect’s leader-in-name, he had no authority to assign anyone, much less Wang Yu who was stronger than the leader.
“Let me try…” Wang Yu was an easy-going person. Seeing how he was highly looked up to, he went along the route and walked forward daringly. Watching Wang Yu’s back view, everyone held their breaths.
As a martial artist, he had the fearless aura which normal people did not have.
Once Wang Yu walked into the monsters’ aggro range, the Fierce Martial Arts Monks and Five Direction Temple’s Guards near him had exclamation marks appear above their heads as they quickly walked towards Wang Yu.

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
