《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 872. Fearless' Wave of Attack

“Me?” Captain Don’t Open Fire was shocked to hear that then said with fear, “What are you guys planning to do?”
Captain Don’t Open Fire knew that Quan Zhen Sect dared to use any despicable means. Quan Zhen Sect and Void Blade’s relationship was not good so it was possible they might sacrifice a Shaman to pull a monster out.
“Just stand still. Later you will know what to do.” Fearless said and nodded at Ling Longmeng and Yang Nuo. The two of them lifted their crossbows and shot at two Treasure Miners’ head.
Four miners were in a team and their aggro distance was very close. The two of their arrows landed and the miners’ aggro was pulled. Soon after, the surrounding monsters’ also reflected a triggered aggro signal above their heads.
After the Treasure Directors behind the Treasure Miners’ aggro was triggered, they put on a layer of steel mode over their subordinates.
After the initially already very burly Treasure Miners got an extra buff, the black metallic shine on their bodies made everyone feel threatened.
Seeing how the Archers triggered the monsters, Captain Don’t Open Fire and the rest of Void Blade panicked, “F*ck, why did they trigger them? Aren’t they going to take them on separately?”
In >, the game’s dungeons’ levels were based on their levels. After level 30, the dungeons players fought often had monsters standing in a Chain Lightning formation for their aggro. As they levelled up, it became more and more common.
Initially, players could use their brute force to launch a wave of attacks on this aggro division but as their levels rose, the monsters became strong. A wave of mindless attacks became increasingly useless. Even when top players fought in higher level quests, using a wave of attacks would kill their team at least a few times.

Luckily players were smart. In the face of such scary monsters’ aggro, they came up with a way called separation attack.
The Assassins were sent to trigger them then go separate ways to disperse the monsters’ Chain Lightning formation of aggro. After they gather back, they would go into [Stealth] to escape. This way, players could separate the monsters then kill them.
However, Fearless did not do so. Instead, he directly asked the Archers to launch a wave of attacks. Damn it, there was almost a hundred level 60 elite monsters and they were surrounded by them. Blindly launching a wave of attacks was akin to seeking death.
Fearless saw how Captain Don’t Open Fire and the rest panic then lightly laughed, “What’s there to worry. Long-distance jobs just do your best to attack.”
Fearless finished talking and Ming Du used his magic while Yang Nuo and Ling Longmeng used their arrows to attack the monsters.
Void Blade’s players saw what happened and although they did not know why, they just scratched their heads and followed Ming Du and the rest to gather around to attack the monsters.
These monsters’ movements were not fast but after they had the buff, their defence was extra high. Everyone was already doing their best to attack but they merely kill a handful of monsters.
These monsters inched in under everyone’s attack and their circle around everyone became smaller.
“F*ck, they are coming closer!”
Seeing the monsters come closer, Captain Don’t Open Fire started to panic again…
Actually, Captain Don’t Open Fire was not afraid of dying once or twice but this quest had a limit on the entire team dying. After three times, they would fail the quest.
However, this was just the second scene. If they were wiped out once, it would be more difficult in the later scenes. Void Blade only had this chance left. If they failed, they would have wasted their money. Captain Don’t Open Fire was rich but not stupid… He also felt the heartache to throw so much money into the drain.

Fearless smiled, “They are not even close. When they come closer, don’t attack. Save your energy.” Captain Don’t Open Fire did not know what Fearless what thinking but after some thought, he put down his staff.
After ten seconds, the monsters bravely moved into Wang Yu and the rest but were still seven to eight metres away. Captain Don’t Open Fire shrieked again, “Leader Fearless, I paid for this. What you are doing is too much.”
Fearless looked at the distance and calmly said again, “Wait for them to come closer.”
After five seconds, the monsters’ were less than four metres away from them and they could see their facial expressions.
When Captain Don’t Open Fire was about to shriek again, Spring Halo took action…
Spring Halo did not use any shockingly big move. He just casually waved and a [Dark Barrier] emerged.
Spring Halo’s [Dark Barrier] did not cover the monsters. Instead, it capped Quan Zhen Sect and Void Blade inside. Those mining monsters pounced forward but they were blocked outside by the barrier.
Shamans’ [Dark Barrier] was a physical control skill. They could control monster BOSS for at least one to two seconds so for these small creatures…”What…” Seeing how the monsters were blocked outside, Captain Don’t Open Fire and the rest were shocked.
Captain Don’t Open Fire and the rest might be stupid but by then, they knew what Fearless was up to.
There were almost a hundred monsters in the stone room but Shamans’ [Dark Barrier] was only five metres wide in circumference. Hence, it would be insufficient to surround the monsters. However, the five-metre circumference was more than enough for twenty players.
The [Dark Barrier] was like a circular protective shelter which separated the monsters from the players. Although these monsters had high defence, they did not have long-distance attack skills. This way, they could only be hit but not hit back.
Of course, Fearless’ battle tactic was not very sophisticated. Under normal situations, Captain Don’t Open Fire would also be able to think of it. However, he had the thought process of a normal person. Under such a situation, he first thought that they could not launch a wave of attack so he naturally would not think of this.
Now, the monsters and players were only separated by a wall and were barely apart. However, the players could move around freely while the monsters were dizzy from the [Dark Barrier]. This also gave the short-distance jobs an opportunity to attack.
Captain Don’t Open Fire took turns to maintain the [Dark Barrier] while everyone else first went for the twenty off Treasure Directors then collectively took on the sixty-odd Treasure Miners who had no means of defence.
From Yang Nuo’s shot to trigger the monsters till the end of the battle, it took less than 10 minutes to wipe out all the monsters in the stone room, lying at the bottom of their feet.
With such little energy, they managed to kill nearly a hundred elite monsters which were 15 levels higher. This battle was so efficient and they move so unbelievably fast.
After all, if they used the usual separate attack method for the battle, it would take at least 30 minutes to kill all of the monsters. The difference in efficiency was obvious.

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world. But the question that remains to be answered, that this first leg of the journey aims to find out; is what can a LitRPG bookworm like Livia do if called on to change humanity and prepare us all for the future, all before her 21st birthday? Find out soon, as we are finishing up book 1 in the coming two weeks. Cheers for reading this far, have a biscuit!
