After hearing the system announcing that Frost Blade was the victor of the battle, the crowd was speechless.

How could this even be considered a battle? The both of them were initially staring at each other for god knew how long, following which they started a stripping contest and began hurling vulgarities at each other. It was degrading to the point whereby even lime powder was used in the fight. In the entire duration of 40 minutes, there was only one successful stab in the entire bout.

Everyone there had played the game for so long but this was the first time they had ever witnessed such a boring battle.

Even though the players from Twilight City at the arena had heard the system announcing the victor of the battle and knew the true identity of A Murder of Crows, they weren’t excited about the win at all as Frost Blade had won the battle in such a disgusting manner. They even started to think that the bunch of Quan Zhen Sect players could only rely on cheap tricks and craftiness in order to win.

At the end of the day however, Frost wasn’t an opponent that stood on equal grounds with Abundance of Gold and striving for a tie was his ultimate goal in the first place. Seeing that he was able to win this battle, it was definitely unexpected.

“How is it? I’m good, right!” Frost Blade proudly claimed after returning to his own camp.

“Good! Good! Frost is truly quick-witted! We knew from the start that you would win the battle.” The others from Quan Zhen Sect raised their thumbs up at him, praising. The bunch of people from Quan Zhen Sect were all crafty and cunning. Thus, even though Frost had won the battle in such an unglamorous manner, they all took it as him being quick-witted about the entire situation.

Abundance of Gold was having it worse on the other end. Knowing full well that the opponent wasn’t his match, he still got stabbed once by him, resulting in him losing the battle.

“F*ck, don’t hold me back. I’m going to hack that brat to pieces!”

Flushing red with anger, Abundance of Gold wanted so badly to head over to Quan Zhen Sect’s camp and settle things with Frost Blade. Thankfully, he was stopped by his companions.

War is Peace said, “Enough, Old Jin. A win resulting from adopting a battle strategy is still a win. After all, we are still in the singles fight segment. There would be many opportunities for you later on to cross paths with that guy. Are you saying that you can’t even accept this minor setback?”

“I can’t accept such a shameful defeat!” Abundance of Gold said gloomily.

At this moment, a Warrior with a crew cut patted Abundance of Gold on the shoulder and said, “Gold, don’t be depressed. Just observe my battle next! I will seek justice for you!”

The Warrior with the crew cut was called Sea of Silver, and he was the second-best expert in the Raptors battle team. His nickname was Silver Falcon and played the Warrior job class. As it was a job that had a rather high damage output, in terms of overall ability, he wasn’t any worse than Abundance of Gold.

Abundance of Gold turned to look at Sea of Silver and said, “Old Silver, you must not lose the next fight.”

“Got it.” Sea of Silver nodded his head slightly.

At that moment, the system announced to commencement of the third round. Following which, Boson and Sea of Silver were both sent up on the arena.

As both players were Warriors, their looks were more appealing. Coupled with the fact that both of them were fully decked with sparkling equipment, it made both of them look extremely majestic, way more attractive than the previous two fighters.

“Surely it won’t be another 40 minutes fight, right?” The audience were fearful of history repeating itself once more.

“If the same thing happens again, I’ll definitely send my complaint. D*mn it!”

“Me too!”

Seemingly as if both parties had heard the outrage by the audience, the both of them immediately adopted their combat stance the moment the countdown started, not bothering to say any unnecessary words.

Both Sea of Silver and Boson were Weapons Master. However, the path which Sea of Silver had developed himself in was completely different from Boson. As Boson was a Kendo practitioner, he relied more on combat maneuvers and belonged to the agility-based Warriors.

Sea of Silver was different and was more similar to Abundance of Gold. He followed the style of Team Raptors and went the explosive path. Even though he wasn’t as agile as Boson, his techniques were way more vicious.

The moment the match started, Sea of Silver took the initiative by attacking first, activating [Charge] and dashing towards Boson.

“Truly an expert!”

Seeing Sea of Silver’s opening ability, Boson couldn’t help but silently praise his opponent.

When a Warrior became LVL 30, he would be able to learn [Mountain Shattering Blow]. The skill’s judgement was terrifying high and had the ability to cause the target to be airborne. It was normally used by Warriors as an opening ability in a fight.

However, true Warrior experts like Boson would never use such a move as an opener.

That is because the casting motion of [Mountain Shattering Blow] had a short duration in which the player will descend from the sky. Even though the duration was miniscule, when faced against true experts, it could be easily interrupted with a [Rising Strike].

A Warrior did not have low defence. However, the weakness of Strength-based classes would be their inability to retreat in fights. Once an expert was able to land a [Rising Strike] on them, they would basically turn into a target board immediately.

Thus, up till a certain level, [Mountain Shattering Blow] could only be used against enemies that are rooted of have been knocked on the ground. Players would rarely use it as on opening ability, much less against an opponent that was standing…

Even though [Charge] was a basic skill and the [Knock Back] effect that it could inflict wasn’t really a good control effect, the judgement of the ability was high and did not require the player to be in midair. More importantly, the user could cancel the ability anytime and follow up with another ability easily.

Solely based on this, Warriors that used [Charge] as an opening ability in the game were normally one of the better and more reliable ones, even if they were not experts.

The speciality of a Warrior was its sturdiness. If a player was able to showcase this aspect of a Warrior, the player would be rather outstanding in his own right.

Seeing Sea of Silver charging towards him, Boson jumped lightly to the back and slashed his sword at Sea of Silver at the same time.

“Retreating Strike?”

After seeing Boson’s reaction to his [Charge], Sea of Silver was stunned momentarily. Following which, he promptly cancelled his [Charge], avoiding Boson’s [Strike].

“Aiya, Retreating Strike? That Warrior from Murder of Crows has some skills.” The audience couldn’t help but exclaim in shock after witnessing Boson executing that move.

[Strike] was a Warrior’s basic ability and there was nothing amazing about the ability on its own. However, in a fight between two Warriors, activating [Strike] and leaping backwards mid-cast would increase the range of the ability. This way, it would allow the player to attack his opponent and avoid the opponent’s attack at the same time.

Although it seemed simple, executing it was surprisingly difficult. If a player’s reaction was insufficient, it was hard to grasp the timing of the move. Thus, it was considered a technique that could only be done by experts.

Boson’s execution of the [Retreating Strike] was flawless and did not seem forced or intentional at all. His smooth execution of the skill left both the audience and the players from Team Raptors gaping in awe.

No wonder he was able to fight into the top 100s…

Sea of Silver had decent abilities himself. The moment he cancelled his ability to dodge Boson’s [Strike], Sea of Silver immediately activated [Tornado Slash] without hesitation towards Boson, not giving him the chance to catch a breather.

As Boson had leapt backwards previously, he was still currently in midair. Thus, he was unable to move freely in his current state. Just when the [Tornado Slash] was about to connect with Boson’s body, he unexpectedly thrust a hand forward in midair, piercing his longsword towards Sea of Silver’s head.

[Assassinate]!

It was one of the fundamental abilities of a Warrior and even though the damage wasn’t high, it had an overpowered effect to it which allowed the user to interrupt the ability of its target…

The moment Sea of Silver’s [Tornado Slash] was stopped abruptly, Boson had landed on the ground once more. Following which, he swiftly leapt forwards and slashed his longsword in an arc towards Sea of Silver.
