The intelligent NPC in > had pretty advanced AI. Usually, everyone relied on the language to determine which were intelligent NPCs.

As AIs cannot lie, other than those special AI who were extremely intelligent who could, it was not too difficult to differentiate them from regular NPCs.

This time’s inner demons could lie so it meant that the officials allowed it to lie… They even seized the easiest way for players to differentiate them… The more frustrating thing was that the inner demon could attack and yet they had to ensure no players died to pass the round.

That meant that they were holding an unpredictable bomb which they could not let it explode nor hurt anyone. The designers were really too despicable.

This quest was testing players’ chemistry within the team but the system made it too ridiculous. Even if it was an S grade quest, it was still ridiculous. This was just the second round. Based on this round’s difficulty, it was hard to imagine what the designers had for the next round to sabotage them.

By then, Quan Zhen Sect stuck their backs on the wall to increase the distance amongst one another so that they would not be killed or kill their teammates when possessed by the inner demon.

After the countdown, the quest begin and the system notified the arrival of the inner demon.

After a few seconds, Ling Longmeng suddenly yelled, “Someone touched me!!”

“???” Everyone heard her and simultaneously followed Ling Longmeng’s eyes to look at Vainglory who was the nearest to her.

Seeing how everyone was staring at him, Vainglory was taken aback, then said in shock, “F*ck! Are you guys suspecting me?”

Fearless snickered, “He even dared to touch Ling Longmeng. He must be the inner demon. Everyone press him down, don’t let him attack!”

Everyone knew that Vainglory had one move, [No Offsprings Kick], which could end people in one move. Crotch Lord heard and quickly raised his shield and pressed Vainglory against the wall.

“F*ck you, Fearless!”

While Vainglory was shrieking, everyone pressed him onto the ground.

Just then, Ling Longmeng closed her eyes and lifted her crossbow, aiming at the back nearest to her, Yang Nuo’s.

However, before Ling Longmeng pulled the trigger, Yang Nuo suddenly turned around to push her hand away and Ling Longmeng’s arrow shot into the ceiling. At the same time, Frost Blade appeared behind Ling Longmeng and used the handle of his dagger to knock her head. Ling Longmeng fainted and Yang Nuo disarmed her.

As Archers could only use daggers and crossbows as weapons, Ling Longmeng was an intelligent archer who did not have the habit of bringing a dagger. Once her crossbow was seized, she was instantly a toothless tiger.

Those pressing Vainglory also turned back, looking as though they expected it.

“F*ck, you guys know I’m not the inner demon?” Vainglory pointed at everyone and asked angrily from being kicked.

Fearless said, “Obviously, would Old Meng kick such a fuss if she was touched? Idiot, your IQ still has a great room for improvement.”

Indeed, Ling Longmeng’s temper was so bad that if she was touched, 50% chance she would have instinctively slapped him and 99% chance she would have kicked his crotch. Yelling was not her style.

Of course, there was no absolute for anything so everyone chose to let the inner demon expose itself.

“F*ck, that’s not right, then who used a pole to smash my head?” Vainglory continued looking at Fearless angrily.

“I didn’t even touch you!” Fearless said.

Vainglory then looked at Spring Halo and Ming Du as only the three of them had poles.

Ming Du quickly kept his staff and replied, “Nothing to do with me.”

“Hehe, I didn’t know that you weren’t the inner demon.” Spring Halo laughed awkwardly.

“…” Everyone chuckled as none of them believed Spring Halo’s words.

“F*ck! Spring Dog, watch out!” Vainglory clasped his fist.

Just as everyone was speaking, the possessed Ling Longmeng saw that she was exposed and swung her head backwards into the wall…

“F*ck!”

Frost Blade was shocked to see Ling Longmeng killing herself but it was too late to stop her.

Just then, Yang Nuo dashed forward and pulled Ling Longmeng’s wrist, and pulled her onto the ground.

“F*cking hell!” Vainglory saw what happened and cursed. This inner demon was indeed a demon. After it was exposed, it attempted suicide. Could the designers dare to be any more shameless?

Reality had shown that, yes, they dared!

Yang Nuo pressed Ling Longmeng on the ground then Ling Longmeng suddenly yelled, “Little Snow, what are you doing?”

“Oh? You were possessed by the inner demon…” Seeing that Ling Longmeng seemed back to normal, Yang Nuo almost let go.

Fearless hurriedly yelled, “Don’t let go first. Let me ask her a question.”

Ling Longmeng calmly said, “So much trouble, quickly ask!”

Fearless smiled and asked, “What is 774 multiplied by 512?”

“396288,” Ling Longmeng said without much thought.

Fearless said, “You are still the inner demon, continue holding her down! Even if Old Meng used a calculator, she wouldn’t be able to solve such math questions so quickly.”

Ling Longmeng said in agony, “Great lad, smart!”

After speaking, Ling Longmeng’s body relaxed as though she lost all energy, then scolded, “F*ck, how dare it possess me!”

Everybody looked at Ling Longmeng suspectingly then asked Fearless, “True or false?”

“Who ran away with his sister-in-law?” Fearless asked.

“Yellow Crane.”

“It’s true! Let her go.” Fearless nodded and signalled Yang Nuo to let Ling Longmeng go.

Seeing Ling Longmeng return back to usual, everyone was relieved. They looked at the countdown and there were 15 minutes left.

“Brother Spring, what are you trying to do?”

Before everyone calmed down, someone suddenly yelled from the back.

This time’s target seemed to be Spring Halo and Ming Du.

Everyone looked back and saw Spring Halo and Ming Du holding their staffs, one summoning flames and the other summoning poisonous smog, ready to fight one another anytime.

“He is the inner demon!” Ming Du pointed at Spring Halo and yelled, “He wanted to throw skills on all of you but fortunately, I caught him.”

Spring Halo also yelled, “You are lying. It was you who wanted to throw the skills and was stopped by me. How dare you push it to me!”

“…”

The inner demon was such a good liar and the two of their tones and actions looked exactly like the original so it was hard to differentiate who was real.

“Who do you guys think is the inner demon?” Fearless asked everyone.

Vainglory stomped his feet and said, “Spring Dog is the inner demon. Hurry, catch him.”

“Stop yelling! Scram aside!” Fearless stared at Vainglory and said.

Damn it, both were Magical jobs. One specialised in crowd attacks and the other, crowd control… In such a small area, these two were bombs. Now both of them were in a restricted state by each other so none of them could send out spells.

If everyone attacked Spring Halo and it turned out that he was not the inner demon, the disruption of Ming Du’s restricted state would wipe them out.

“Old method! Ask questions!” Spring Halo told Fearless.
