《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 749. Mediator

“Let’s go!” Seeing how Quan Zhen Sect ignored him and turned to Choba, Wang Yu told Peak of Perfection.
Initially, Wang Yu was worried that these people would bully Choba but now, Wang Yu’s worries were futile. These guys were only short of worshipping Choba as a god, and definitely not bullying him.
After informing Quan Zhen Sect, Wang Yu and Peak of Perfection left the inn.
As Cloud Mountain City was part of the Dark Faction, Twilight City did not have an airship to go there directly so they had to fly to Sin City in front of the exile area then walk over.
After more than an hour, the airship finally arrived at the Sin City.
As there was no government nor troops, you could do anything here. Hence, it was filled with players with red marks. Moreover, this was the frontline of battles, players did not have a main city to pay tribute to, and relied on completing military assignments for the military for their livelihood. Hence, small teams were everywhere and mercenaries were countless. Fights and theft were also common.
Anyone they did not like, they could just attack. Anything they liked, they could just steal.
Good guys could not survive there while bad guys turned worse.
As time passed, it was infamous for such and became the most chaotic main city in >, and also became a unique feature of the game.
In history, this was the first game that could change a player so much. Due to this, the game company considered starting a huge faction war documentary to erase this main city… However, under the objection of the players, it never happened.
After they left the airship and entered the city, the two of them were targeted by people.
This was normal as Peak of Perfection was dressed in the best equipment and so was Wang Yu. In >, expensive goods looked very different from the cheap ones. Even if they did not look out for them intentionally, these experienced criminals in Sin City could tell the difference in one look.

Peak of Perfection kept a low profile but he was even more afraid of dying so he was dressed in the sharpest equipment, fearing he would be stabbed to death. Wang Yu was even more exaggerated. His excitement over his new weapon had not died down so he did not want to take it off. Having two hands wrapped in shining purple was definitely very eye-catching.
Since the two of them were loitering in Sin City in such high profile, it would be abnormal if no one targeted them.
After barely a few steps, Wang Yu told Peak of Perfection, “Go in [Stealth], someone is following us.”
“What? We are targeted? How many of them?”
“Three or four, all Assassins…” Wang Yu said, “They should be the local rogues looking to rob us.”
Wang Yu had come to Sin City before so he knew that only bastards like Ming Du could survive here.
No matter who was following them, Peak of Perfection did not want to offend them so after hearing what Wang Yu said, he did not hesitate to go into [Stealth].
Based on the principle of avoiding clashes, Wang Yu also turned off the light effect of his weapon.
Quickly, they left the city and passed the battlefield, walking towards Cloud Mountain City. Along the way, the number of people did not decrease but instead, increased.
“Hmm? This is not right. Why are there more and more people? There are about twenty of them now.” Just then, Wang Yu said with a frown.
This was Sin City. If they wanted to rob them, they should have acted already. Why were there more people? Did they want to split the money amongst more people?
“Could it be the Heavenly Fiend Alliance?” Peak of Perfection turned pale as he asked carefully.
Heavenly Fiend Alliance was the guild Peak of Perfection offended. It was considered a veteran guild in the online game community. Supposedly, it was older than Termination Manor, and have very long roots.

Sin City was on the only route to Cloud Mountain City so it was logical to deploy people to stop them here.
“That guild that is after your life, right?” Wang Yu asked.
“Yes!” Peak of Perfection said, “They still have not attacked. Maybe they are afraid that you are the local head gangster… After we pass this road, it will be Cloud Mountain City. Be careful.”
Common sense would tell you not to offend the local head gangster as Sin City was a mess and everyone here were not to be trifled with. Just by their PK skills alone would be on another level. If they really offended these gangsters, even a big guild like Heavenly Fiend Alliance would be in trouble.
Heavenly Fiend Alliance only wanted to stop Peak of Perfection so they would not needlessly seek trouble.
“It’s ok. Even if we go somewhere rural, these few of them is not my match.” Wang Yu rubbed his fists and confidently said.
Hearing what Wang Yu said, Peak of Perfection broke out in sweat… Like Fearless, when in the face of Wang Yu, Peak of Perfection had moments of helplessness.
Just as Peak of Perfection expected, when the two of them crossed the battlefield and left Sin City’s territory, those players who were following them displayed aggression. A dozen of melee players dashed to surround Wang Yu and Peak of Perfection tightly.
Wang Yu was forced to stop.
“Brother, don’t worry. We are not looking for you, we are looking for Peak of Perfection. You should know where he is.”
Just then, someone who looked like a Knight stood forward and spoke to Wang Yu.
Peak of Perfection was standing beside Wang Yu but he was in [Stealth] so other people could not see him.
“Oh, who are you?” Wang Yu looked at the Knight and asked.
“I am Tuo Bayuan, you can call me Young Master Yuan!” the Knight said with great self-love.
Wang Yu found it a joke, “Tuoba (Mop in Chinese)? Young Master Yuan (Little vengeance in Chinese)? Why did you come up with just a funny name?”
“…” Tuo Bayuan’s face changed and said, “No one is kidding with you. We are neighbours so I don’t want to start any animosity with Sin City. Hurry, tell me where Peak of Perfection is.”
“Here!” Wang Yu pulled Peak of Perfection out.
Peak of Perfection was pulled out by Wang Yu and was in disbelief. He asked Wang Yu in shock, “F*ck, what are you doing?”
Wang Yu said, “He looks quite sincere so I think we should talk about it so they will give up on their own accord. Otherwise, even when we return to the city, we might not be able to submit the quest.”
Wang Yu’s worry was not futile. Heavenly Fiend Alliance was a big guild and had at least thousands of players. Now that they knew that Peak of Perfection was back, they could surround the quest NPC. No matter how capable Wang Yu was, he would not be able to leave in one piece with thousands of people surrounding him. Furthermore, he had a burden with him. Hence, it was best to sit down and talk about it. Wang Yu was willing to be a mediator.
“What do you think?” Wang Yu turned and asked Tuo Bayuan.
“What’s there to f*cking talk about…” Tuo Bayuan was already fuming mad when he saw Peak of Perfection and now, Wang Yu was being pretentious. In anger, he started cursing.
Just then, Wang Yu waved his right hand and smashed his fist at the face of the Guardian who was charging towards Peak of Perfection. The Guardian instantly turned into a ray of white light and Tuo Bayuan stopped his spouting of vulgarities.
“Of course there is.” Tuo Bayuan quickly changed his tone.
“Great, so can we talk about it amicably?” Wang Yu asked calmly.

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1. Three powers were discovered and harnessed so that they could be controlled. These powers are required to keep the planet alive, and need human bearers to focus and amplify their individual powers, but at what cost to their bearers? Moonlight follows the stories of Claire, Jayden, and Seraphine, as they learn to control these powers that desire to consume them. Author Notes: Hello! This isn't my first attempt at writing a story, and it isn't even my first attempt at writing this particular story, but I'm not in any way what I would call "experienced". I decided to upload my writing here because I just wanted to get my ideas out there, and I wanted to get some constructive criticism for my writing from the RRL community. All comments are welcome, but please try to keep them positive and constructive! If you leave a rating, I would appreciate it if you left a short explanation of what you liked and what I can improve on. I'll be uploading each chapter as I finish them, but this is still the first draft so anything and everything is subject to change. The cover art is drawn by me, but I'm in no way married to it. I just wanted something that showed the three magical sources, as I picture them in my head. If you do any art based on this story, send it to me! I would love to see it. I'll stop talking now, I hope you enjoy the story!
