《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 724. Eyeball Grass

Under the protection of Wang Yu and Crotch Lord, Peak Of Perfection was extremely safe. The squad moved forward quickly and after walking for seven to eight minutes, everyone stopped in their tracks again. This was because they had reached the end of the road but the entrance to the next scene was oddly located ahead, on the left side.
At the sight of this, everyone was slightly dumbfounded.
“Is your compass spoilt?” Ling Longmeng shaded her eyes with her hands before looking at the faraway entrance again.
“Let me see…” Peak Of Perfection took out his compass to take a look before turning one round. He concluded that there was no problem with the compass.
“So how did we end up here?” Frost Blade asked.
“Hmm…” Peak Of Perfection scratched his chin and thought about it, “Maybe we saw wrongly…”
“Saw wrongly?” Ming Du asked in an unpleasant tone, “We’ve followed the compass to arrive here and you tell us we saw wrongly? Are you making a fool out of me?”
Peak Of Perfection pointed to the sun and said, “Have you heard about mirages?”
“Ah… What about it?”
“I feel like this is due to the reflection of the sunlight or maybe an issue of refraction which gives us the misperception that the entrance is in front of us. In fact, it should be on our left!” Peak Of Perfection pointed to the entrance as he tried to make sense of the situation.
“F*ck! What kind of explanation is that?” The Quan Zhen Sect was so done with Peak Of Perfection’s imaginations. How can he possibly bring in the theory of reflection and refraction in a game? This is simply ridiculous.
A proud Peak Of Perfection replied, “This is the most scientific explanation, and we have to trust science…”
A doubtful Ming Du said, “Why do I feel that in a western fantasy game, science is merely a superstition…”

“Since there is no problem with my compass… Or who can give a better explanation?” Peak Of Perfection asked.
“Alright… You win!” Everyone waved their hands helplessly.
They had no choice because, under such a situation, nobody dared to say that their intuition was better than a compass. Seeing that the compass was right, everyone could only continue walking.
After walking for another seven to eight minutes, everyone walked back to the end of the road…
Before anyone asked again, Peak Of Perfection tried to explain once again, “The reflection of the light… You guys know about the lunar eclipse right… Therefore, it is not odd even if the gate is behind us…”
“So we continue walking?” Vainglory looked at Fearless as he asked.
“Let’s walk!” Fearless twitched his mouth. Since there was no problem with the compass, they must be walking in the right direction. As for why this was like that, Fearless couldn’t find an explanation so he could only listen to Peak Of Perfection’s rubbish.
After yet another seven to eight minutes, the Quan Zhen Sect arrived back at the end of the road as they surrounded Peak Of Perfection. All of them gave Peak Of Perfection the deadly stare…
“What?!” Peak Of Perfection threw the compass on the ground and shouted, “I cannot come up with anything any more!”
Quan Zhen Sect, “…”
Spring Halo walked over to pick up the compass before referring to the compass and marking a few coordinates on the ground. He said, “These are the two coordinates of where we stopped and this coordinate is where we are currently at. The next location should be where we came in from.”
After saying that, Spring Halo marked another coordinate before using a string to connect the four coordinates to form a rectangle.
Everyone turned around to take a look and indeed, they weren’t far from the astray ghost region. After going one round, they came back to the same spot.

“F*ck! Don’t tell me the entire scene is an astray ghost scene?” Peak Of Perfection asked.
“Not necessarily!” Spring Halo said, “If I’m not wrong, the entrance should be movable.”
“Movable? By itself?” Everyone was stunned when they heard this.
The entrance was considered an architecture of the scene so shouldn’t it be a dead object? If this was the case, the designer was truly shameless.
“Not strange!” Spring Halo said, “You know when we set up irrigation, we will never use some designated coordinates of geographical location.”
“Why?”
Spring Halo replied, “Have you heard of how the fortune was in the east of bank 30 years ago but turns to the west when 30 years have passed? If in reality, mountains and rivers can change its position, why can’t a dungeon gate in a magical world?”
“So what should we do now?” Frost Blade asked.
Spring Halo replied, “I think we can split into four teams to secure a coordinate each. Either way, one of the teams will get to enter.”
Peak Of Perfection said, “No, I have to enter because this is my quest.”
“This is problematic then…” Spring Halo was stuck.
The current solution would only guarantee a 25% success rate… According to the probability, 25% is a small number.
“This… Fearless, please think of a way,” Spring Halo asked Fearless.
Fearless shook his head as he expressed that while Spring Halo’s method was rancid, it was the most practical way.
Just when everyone was unable to find a solution, Wang Yu suddenly laughed as he commented, “Hey, did any of you realise that the entrance to the next scene looks a little odd?”
“Looks odd? Like testicles? Why are you blindly guessing at a time like this?” The moment Ming Du opened his mouth, the originally solemn atmosphere turned lively again.
“Wow, the entrance is really round and… Oh…” Before Spring Halo could finish his sentence, an arrow was stuck to his head. When everyone saw that, they kept quiet out of fear.
“What are you guys thinking… What on earth is in your brains all day long?” Wang Yu pointed at Ming Du and Spring Halo before scolding them. “Didn’t you guys notice that the entrance looks a bit familiar?”
“Familiar? After Wang Yu said that, Vainglory thought for a while before looking around. Eventually, he pointed at a weird plant not too far away, “Is it this thingy?”
“Eh? This grass…” Everyone was slightly taken aback when they saw the plant Vainglory pointed at.
This grass looked extremely weird with no leaves. All it had was a round item at the top which looked familiar to the entrance.
Everyone hurriedly sent their [Probing] skill over.
Eyeball Grass (LV55)
Skill: Probing
Monster description: Looks like a harmless plant.
F*ck! It was no wonder Wang Yu said that he felt someone was monitoring them. So there were eyes in the bushes.
Even though this Eyeball Grass looked odd, its colour was the same as the weeds. Nobody would notice anything if it was hiding in the bushes. Only an extremely observant weirdo like Wang Yu and a kid who loved to look around like Vainglory would notice something like that.
“Indeed, it is this item! No wonder I find it so familiar!” Looking at the Eyeball Grass on the ground, Wang Yu felt extremely good now that he had finally solved the question that was bothering him for so long.
All of a sudden, Fearless shouted, “Everyone, inspect the bushes carefully! Pull out all of these playthings!”
“Pull? For what? It is harmless…” Nobody knew Wang Yu was an environmentalist.
Peak Of Perfection explained, “Didn’t you see that this plaything has the probing skill? You said that someone was monitoring us so they should be doing so through this plaything. Moreover, I am 80% certain that the entrance is a bigger version of this grass.”
