《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 676. Get To The Bottom Of It

“Timed explosive… F*ck!” When Fearless saw the battle journal that Wang Yu displayed, he almost died on the spot.
“What were you thinking? How did you get killed by this plaything? Were you blind?” Fearless asked with a face of agony.
Timed explosives were a common skill among Thieves. It was widely known to be a skill of low cost and ridiculous power.
Even though the destructive force of this plaything was incredible, not many people had learnt this skill.
This was because in order to use these explosives, it wasn’t as simple as simply throwing it out. One needed to bend over to put it on the ground and it would only explode ten seconds later.
Thieves had been known for their explosive damages. In the time they used to bend over, put the explosive on the ground and wait ten seconds, one could have killed his enemy several times over.
Moreover, this plaything’s surface area was extremely big. It was like a large stone on the ground so as long as one wasn’t blind, nobody in the right mind would step on it.
Even a slightly smarter BOSS would avoid this plaything, let alone a gamer. Therefore, this skill was also dubbed as the most useless skill of a Thief…
Earlier on, Sanguine Wolf casually put one on the ground while being pinned down by Wang Yu. His intention was to make Wang Yu go one round so that he could buy himself some time.
Who knew that Wang Yu would actually stand there like a fool with no intention to give way?
At that point in time, Wang Yu’s [Spirit Guard] was already destroyed by Doak. Without any skill to protect himself, he suffered the force of the explosion and died. He truly died an innocent…
Wang Yu complained, “How would I know that there will be an explosive in the grass?” This underbrush here could even hide Fearless so it wasn’t hard to hide an explosive within it.
“What about your killing sense? Didn’t you sense that someone was going to kill you?”
“Killing sense your head! He put in on the ground, not throw it at me… How can I sense that?” Wang Yu continued to complain.

Fearless replied, “When that b*stard was lying on the ground, you should have guessed that he will use this plaything…”
“How would I know that an Assassin would have such a despicable skill?” Wang Yu argued with pride.
“I…” Fearless was speechless. Fearless forgot that this was Wang Yu’s first time playing an online game. Not many people learnt a skill like timed explosives so it was natural that Wang Yu didn’t know about it.
“Did you drop anything?” Fearless sighed as he asked Wang Yu.
Wang Yu looked at his bag before saying, “The remnant pages of the skill book earlier…” After Wang Yu checked what Doak dropped, he simply threw it into his bag. He didn’t put it in his storage ring which was why it dropped out.
“F*ck! Those scumbags!” Fearless clenched his teeth and said, “Sanguine Warflag, to think that I still treat you as my friend.’
“Sanguine Warflag? That Assassin was their man?” Wang Yu was shocked and in disbelief.
Initially, there were tensions and misunderstandings between Sanguine Alliance and Quan Zhen Sect. However, after fighting together for some time, they could be considered old friends. Back then when Quan Zhen Sect was in trouble, Sanguine Warflag even came to their rescue with his men without hesitation. Wang Yu really couldn’t understand why Sanguine Warflag must do something like this.
“En, I’ve heard it clearly from the side. That person trying to kill you was called Sanguine Wolf.”
Sanguine Wolf, was the number one Assassin of the Sanguine Squad. He was also considered one of the best experts in the ring of professionals. Fearless had numerous years of experience in this industry so he was fairly knowledgeable of the experts in the ring. He had naturally heard of Sanguine Wolf.
“What if it was just the same name?” Wang Yu asked.
In >, there were billions of players in the server so the probability of having your ID stolen first was pretty high. This was especially so for the great gods in the ring of professionals who had thousands of fans. Acquiring a famous name like this was not surprising.

“No, for top experts ID like his, the gaming company will give it to them personally. Moreover, Sanguine Wolf was not the only person there. There was Arrow King Sanguine Rain and two others too.” Fearless furrowed his brows.
If Sanguine Wolf’s name wasn’t enough for the gaming company to give him the ID, Arrow King Sanguine Rain should be enough. One must know that anyone with King or God in their IDs must have it for a reason.
Arrow King Sanguine Rain was a publicly recognised arrow expert by the gaming company. He was only second to the leader of Master Squad, Irritated Master.
Of course, this was only a difference in reputation. Sanguine Rain and Irritated Master were both top experts of the same calibre. If they were to get into a fight, nobody would be able to tell the winner.
Moreover, four members of the Sanguine Squad appeared at the same place. If Sanguine Wolf was a fake, it couldn’t be that all four of them were fakes too. It would be too much of a coincidence.
“But why do I find it hard to believe that Sanguine Warflag would do this?” Wang Yu was tangled as he continued, “He even approach me to help him acquire points. It just doesn’t make sense for him to get people to kill me.”
Fearless replied, “I don’t understand too. Therefore, we need to find Sanguine Warflag to ask about it.”
“Let’s go back and ask him out to ask about this!” Wang Yu replied as he was ready to walk into the city.
Fearless extended his arm to stop Wang Yu before advising, “Let’s use the return to town scroll instead. They have more ambush around.”
“What’s there to be scared about? Let’s just kill them all!” Wang Yu replied.
Fearless said, “Before we figure out what was going on, we might inadvertently alert an enemy.”
Fearless explained everything to the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect as he asked them not to leave the city for no good reason. He took out a return to town scroll and tossed it to Wang Yu as the two of them returned to Twilight City.
Back at Twilight City, Fearless got Wang Yu to send Sanguine Warflag a message.
“Warflag, where are you now?” Wang Yu asked.
“In a dungeon quest! Why?” After a long while, Sanguine Warflag finally returned his message.
Wang Yu replied, “Something is up! Can you make your way to the restaurant now?”
“If it is an urgent matter, I will leave my dungeon now!” Sanguine Warflag replied as he saw Wang Yu’s reply.
“He said that if it is urgent, he will leave his dungeon quest now!” Wang Yu turned to tell Fearless.
“Seems like Sanguine Warflag really doesn’t know anything about this.” Fearless scratched his chin.
Wang Yu asked in confusion, “Ah? How did you know?”
Fearless said, “If he knew about the ambush on us, why would he have the mood to clear dungeons now?”
“So how should I reply?” Wang Yu nodded.
Fearless said, “Even if he don’t know about this, it cannot be completely unrelated to him. You can get him here.”
“En, alright!” Wang Yu casually replied Sanguine Warflag’s message.
Not long later, Sanguine Warflag arrived at the restaurant. Looking at the weakened state on his head, he really did force quit a dungeon.
“Leader Fearless is here too? You’re looking me for?” After Sanguine Warflag sat down, he immediately got to the point.
Fearless sized Sanguine Warflag up before replying to him, “When we were doing combat squad’s quest, we were ambushed.”
“Ah?” Sanguine Warflag was shocked before asking, “Who didn’t cherish their lives? To think they would dare to ambush you guys. Is everyone alright?”
“We almost got exterminated completely.” Fearless replied.
“This… How? There are people who could still wipe you guys out?” Sanguine Warflag was really shocked. If he really had something to do with this, his future in acting would be brighter than his gaming career.
“They were people from the ring of professionals,” Fearless answered.
