《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 656. Sanguine Warflag's Invitation

“Atlanta’s Brilliance? Oh… You meant that plaything…” Hearing what Ming Du said, Wang Yu suddenly recalled that he still had that useless staff on him.
Atlanta’s Brilliance’s unique attribute was that the power of the staff would increase according to the population of Atlanta race. In the past, the Atlanta race has yet to open up so the Atlanta’s Brilliance was basically a worthless weapon. Now that the Atlanta race is released to the public, and the fact that it was a very interesting race, made this previously worthless staff extremely valuable.
After all, there weren’t many items which wouldn’t take up space in the equipment list and that just by sitting in the bag, it could be useful for the user.
Just when everyone was envious of Wang Yu, Fearless reminded, “Stop chatting. The ship is here so let’s go.”
Half an hour later, the Quan Zhen Sect finally returned to Twilight City.
The moment they descended the flying ship, Wang Yu received Sanguine Warflag’s message.
“Great God Iron Bull, are you busy now?”
After receiving the message, Wang Yu asked Fearless, “Are we going to clear dungeon later?”
Even though the Quan Zhen Sect were all lone rangers, they would still come together to make up the numbers for dungeon quest.
“Why? You have something on?” Fearless asked out of curiosity.
In the past, Wang Yu had never asked about dungeon quest. He would simply follow where the squad went.
“Sanguine Warflag is looking for me,” Wang Yu answered honestly.
“Looking for you?” Fearless was slightly taken aback before chuckling, “Let’s go, I shall follow you to take a look.”
Sanguine Alliance was such a huge guild which wouldn’t bother Wang Yu for ordinary issues. Now that they messaged Wang Yu, there must be a huge business transaction coming up… Fearless was more interested in such things.
“We want to go too!” Looking at Fearless’ expression, Ming Du and co. followed behind too.
The Quan Zhen Sect knew Fearless’ character and seeing how wide this Fearless smiled, they knew that he was up to something again. As the saying goes: Those that witness will have a share. They knew that following these two men would not be disadvantageous for them.

“We are going to discuss business, why are you guys following?” When Fearless saw that Ming Du and the rest were following them, he turned to ask.
“Who are you discussing it with?” Spring Halo asked.
“Sanguine Warflag.” Wang Yu replied as it was.
Ming Du laughed. “Exactly! This b*stard, Fearless, is definitely going to rip off a large sum again. How can we not be there?”
“F*ck! A bunch of despicable men!” Fearless scolded.
“If the upper beam is not straight, the lower beam will be crooked!”
“Who is the upper beam?”
“Whoever is our leader!”
…
Hearing the conversation of Fearless and the rest of them, Wang Yu couldn’t help but feel heart pain for Sanguine Warflag.
The crowd of them were making so much noise as they made their way to the agreed restaurant. Sanguine Warflag had been looking forward to this meeting for a long time now. This time, he didn’t bring any men with him as he was the only one there. At this moment, he was simply sitting alone and staring into space.
As Sanguine Warflag noticed Wang Yu walking into the restaurant, he hurriedly stood up. When he saw that Wang Yu brought so many people with him, he couldn’t help but cried out, “Aiya! I only send a message to Great God Iron Bull but why is everyone here?”
“We are coincidentally together when you sent the message so they simply tagged along.” Wang Yu wiped his sweat as he replied. Sanguine Warflag was still considered his friend so he couldn’t possibly bring himself to say that he brought a group of thieves to extort him.
“I see…” Sanguine Warflag nodded but wasn’t too bothered by it as he greeted everyone and got them to take their seat.
“Speaking of which, why is Leader Sanguine looking for our Old Bull? Why do you have to make it so secretive?” After Fearless took his seat, he went straight to the point.
“Haha…” Sanguine Warflag laughed as he replied, “It is actually nothing much. It is because the S1 league tournament is about to begin so our Sanguine Squad is preparing a professional squad for it. I was planning to ask if Great God Iron Bull has time to help us compete in one tournament. Do the few of you want to help too?”

The league tournament is the best competition in the country’s online gaming society. It was divided into Spring Tournament and Summer Tournament. Only those with enough accumulated points could represent the competition district to join the S-grade league tournament.
S-grade league tournament was the world’s greatest tournament. No matter who won it, being able to participate in it would already be an honour.
It was true that the Sanguine Squad was a huge guild but the brand-new model displayed in > changed the whole concept of fighting. More and more unorthodox experts were emerging over the years and there were even more teams joining the competition this time. Sanguine Warflag had personally witnessed Wang Yu’s capability and ever since the season began, Sanguine Warflag felt an unprecedented pressure. This was why he wanted to get Wang Yu to help to accumulate some points in the pre-season fights. Otherwise, if an old name like the Sanguine Squad couldn’t even participate in this season competition, it would be too embarrassing.
“Fighting in a competition… Not meaningful.”
Once they heard competition, Fearless and co. were no longer interested. Initially, they thought that Sanguine Warflag wanted Wang Yu to help him fight some BOSS or something. This way, everyone could also participate and gain some commission. As for competition, none of them were interested.
“Aiya! Bosses, it’s not that I want to comment much but given your abilities, you guys should form a squad to compete. Even if you couldn’t get champion, you should still obtain some outstanding achievements.”
“Fighting in competitions are way too improper. We don’t have the time…” Fearless continued.
“Tsk… Leader Fearless, don’t you know that competitive gamers are part of the higher income category?” Sanguine Warflag suddenly mentioned this.
Sanguine Warflag was not wrong as it was indeed true that such gamers’ remunerations were actually very high. Not only would the competition rewards be extremely generous, but the great support from the fans was also another source of income. Every squad would have the support of a large financial group which was why they were definitely considered to be in the higher income community.
Fearless replied with a smile, “The people I meet at my work are all leaders of the country. Gaming is merely for entertainment.”
Even though Fearless was boasting unnecessarily, he was not lying about gaming.
“… Haha.” Sanguine Warflag was slightly shocked as he turned to look at Boson.
Boson shook his hand and said, “I’m researching on nuclear weapons.”
“What a joke!” Sanguine Warflag’s whole body was covered in cold sweat before turning to look at Spring Halo.
“Don’t look at me, I’m a high-level engineer and I receive the country’s allowance too… Even though I am free sometimes, I am not that free to go for such tournament.”
“I’m an office-bearer trying to earn a living. Why would I go and compete in some tournament…” Before Sanguine Warflag could look at him, Ming Du raised his hand and said it first.
Sanguine Warflag was dumbfounded and speechless by the Quan Zhen Sect’s response. He was helpless so he simply shifted his gaze onto Wang Yu.
Wang Yu replied, “I do have some time to spare so I don’t mind helping you. But does that mean I have to join your guild’s squad?”
“Not necessarily but if you’re willing to join our squad, I can give you the best treatment as a professional…” an excited Sanguine Warflag said.
Pre-season only required them to kill some useless teams. As for the league tournament, it was slightly stricter in the sense that only the squad members could fight.
If Wang Yu joined Sanguine Squad, Sanguine Warflag was confident they could be world champion, let alone season champion.
“I see… Are the opponents strong enough?” Wang Yu asked again.
“Those who fight in squads are all extremely strong. In fact, they are all stronger than me.” Sanguine Warflag said.
“Oh… Only stronger than you? Then there is no point…” Wang Yu twitched his mouth.
