This month was February in the lunar calendar. Even though the weather was still cooling, the spring wind brought warmth.

L City was a small city but there were still mountains and sea around the area. It was a gorgeous place.

The entrance to the district where Wang Yu’s house was located near the city’s lake. This district was thus named because of this. After exiting the district, Wang Yu and Mu Zixian held hands and walked to the lake.

When they first arrived in the city, both of them were not close to anyone or anything here. Therefore, they would always stroll along this lake. This moment brought them back to half a year ago.

Back then, Wang Yu was still a pampered son of a wealthy family who knew nothing. Mu Zi Xian had also just accepted a rather decent job and the two of them escaped to an unknown city. They started a new life together and everything was so fresh.

This was especially true for Wang Yu. When Wang Yu first stepped out of the house, he suddenly felt the breeze of the outside world. He finally understood what freedom felt like.

After circling the lake for half a day, the two of them wandered around the city center for a while. They finally found a restaurant to have their meal. The moment they entered, Mu Zi Xian pointed at a few people not too far away. “Eh, isn’t that Little Snow and co.?”

As Mu Zi Xian said that, she was all ready to go up to greet them. However, Wang Yu pulled Mu Zi Xian back and pointed to the seat opposite Li Xue before shaking his head.

Mu Zi Xian followed Wang Yu’s finger as she noticed four men seated opposite Li Xue and co.

Eight of them were seated around a huge round table as they were having their own meal. The situation seemed rather awkward as though they were blind-dating. After all, the people from the North were always rushing to blind-date during the start or end of year. A scene like this was not rare at all.

Otherwise, with Mary around, the atmosphere at the dining table with men and women would definitely not be this awkward.

Wang Yu might be a clueless man in the past but after spending some time with the Quan Zhen Sect, he learnt to understand some things much better than before.

The atmosphere at that table was already so awkward so if the two of them went over, wouldn’t it be more awkward? If the voice of the guest overwhelms that of the host, the men would definitely feel extremely uneasy.

One must know that they were actually blind-dating. If Wang Yu walked over and was overly enthusiastic with Li Xue and co, it would seem rather inappropriate.

Just like that, the two of them ordered some food before leaning against the seats to eavesdrop the conversation.

Even though Li Xue’s table was extremely awkward, Wang Yu and Mu Zi Xian were still able to discern some clues from the conversation. Indeed, Li Xue and co. accompanied Mary for her blind-date.

The person matched with Mary appeared to be a personal trainer at a certain gym club in L city. This gym club was rather reputable because even a person like Wang Yu had heard of it before.

Since he was a personal trainer, he should be quite a decent catch. However, Mary didn’t seem too interested which resulted in the anxious tone of the few men on the opposite side. This made the entire scene incredibly awkward.

“They are truly so young. To think that they are still so shy.” Wang Yu sighed.

“Tsk!” Mu Zi Xian argued, “Just like how confident you were? Did you forget when we first met…”

Wang Yu started sweating profusely as he interrupted her sentence, “That… How did this end up being about me…”

Just when Wang Yu was recollecting his memories with Mu Zi Xian, they suddenly heard Mary speak, “Li Jian, you should head back now. If my parents didn’t call to get me here, I wouldn’t be here.”

“Mary, I…”

“What? The two of us are simply not the same type of people.” Mary’s words were firm.

Hearing Mary’s words, Li Jian didn’t say anything but one of his brothers was no longer able to stand it. He stood up and shouted, “What are you saying? I’ve tolerated you for a long time now. Aren’t you just playing a stupid game? Given our Brother Jian’s standard, you should be happy that he likes you. Why are you acting all snobbish?”

“What a young man…” Wang Yu sighed once more as lamented at how ignorant this kid was. If Mary and Li Jian really got together, this kid would have nowhere to stand.

While Wang Yu was chuckling away, Mu Zi Xian’s expression seemed to be getting gloomier. This kid’s words seemed to have hit Mu Zi Xian’s sore spot.

The same person spoke again, “Why don’t you look up Brother Jian’s family background? Is it not befitting of your family? He is already showing you face…”

Before this kid could finish his sentence, Mu Zi Xian suddenly stood up with a cup of tea in her hands. She instantly splashed the cup of tea on the kid’s face.

“Eh? Darling, what are you doing?” Mu Zi Xian’s sudden rage caught Wang Yu off guard as he hurriedly stood up to hold her back.

Mu Zi Xian was still infuriated as she pointed at the wet child. “What is the connection between partners and family background? Is she marrying you or your family? Absolutely shameful! Do you not know how to act like a proper human? Are you saying that she needs your family’s approval to like you?”

That kid was inevitably dumbfounded by Mu Zi Xian’s sudden outrage and splashing of tea. Li Xue and the rest were all stunned too.

“Sister… Sister Xian, why are you here…” Li Xue asked out of curiosity.

“Hehe, we’re just passing by…” Wang Yu waved his hand awkwardly at Li Xue as he smiled at them before turning to the wet kid. “I’m sorry, brother. My wife hasn’t been feeling too well recently. I will pay for your bill this time.”

“Brother Yu, you’re too kind. Don’t worry, we are here too. You and Sister Xian should go back for a rest,” Mary replied hurriedly.

“That’s so embarrassing…” Wang Yu scratched his head as he still looked extremely awkward.

The man who was splashed on finally responded. When he saw that the person who splashed tea at him was a female and seemed rather close to Mary, he instantly flew into a rage.

“F*ck! Are you girls here to make sport of me?” The tea man shouted angrily as he slammed the table. He stepped on the wooden bench and was prepared to kick Mu Zi Xian. Everyone else was watching closely at Wang Yu.

The tea man was convinced that Mu Zi Xian was here to make a scene intentionally so he didn’t care whether she was a man or woman and acted right away.

Wang Yu frowned the moment he noticed that the tea man was going to kick Mu Zi Xian. He grabbed Mu Zi Xian with his right hand before taking one step back to avoid the tea man’s flying kick.

The tea man’s form looked rather decent. At the very least, his legs were extremely agile. Seeing that Wang Yu managed to pull Mu Zi Xian away, he followed it up with a spin kick almost immediately.

Wang Yu stepped to the side as the tea man missed his kick again. Another kick followed as Wang Yu spun around while hugging Mu Zi Xian. With a slight push of the table in front of him, he dodged the attack and prevented the table from being smashed too.
