Quickly, the Defenders lifted their shields, broke through the formation and charged out.

The players in the dual circle formation which surrounded the Holy Defenders saw that and quickly lifted their shields to activate their shield formation.

A loud sound was heard, and the Holy Defenders’ charge was blocked. However, the players were exerting a lot of energy too. Although they had two times the number of people and used a Shield Formation with extra Hinder values, the Holy Defenders were simply too strong. Easily, they knocked down the players’ formation.

“These impossible guys.” Looking at how ridiculously strong these Defenders were, Fearless broke out in cold sweat.

These Holy Defenders were all-rounded. Aside from the ridiculous attribute to ascertain attack or defend, their recovery skill was even stronger than a Holy Priest. If they wanted to wipe them out, they must not give them any breathing time.

At this thought, Fearless ordered once more, “Continue attacking! The front row, use [Taunting] spells. Don’t let them recover!!”

At this point in time, the Magicians’ [Chain Lightning] had already ended with no results. With Fearless’ order, the Magicians’ threw out a second wave of attack.

After attacking, the Defenders’ HP fell rapidly and they lifted their shields, wanting to trigger the recovery skill. The Guardians used this time to send [Taunting] skills to the Defenders by pointing their middle fingers at them.

The Holy Defenders were not BOSS and hence, the [Taunting] skills had very strong effects on them. The Holy Defenders’ recovery was interrupted while fireball, thunder and other types of skills were repeatedly thrown at them.

The Atlanta City’s NPCs were also attacking them alongside the Magician players. They were chased so badly at the beginning that they could not attack their enemy but now that the players trapped them, the NPCs were safe and had begun to assist them.

Although these NPCs were a bunch of civilian troops who did not know how to fight group battles, their spells and weapons were very strong. One by one, they were thrown out, cooperating with the players.

Under the full-strength attack by both sides, the ten-odd trapped Holy Knights were finally wiped out. The outer Shield Formation by the players initially failed and under the exchange of fire, they lost twenty-odd people.

“Inner and outer circles swap!” Fearless ordered.

The outer Shield Formation took a step forward, lined up, and trapped another ten Holy Defenders. The inner circle’s Guardians quickly followed. They laid their backs against the new inner circle of Guardians and protect them.

Tighten, [Chain Lightning], [Taunting], furious spell attack!

After their experience, the players were much more familiar with the procedures of working together. Under the assistance of the Atlanta City’s NPCs to throw spells, another round of the Holy Defenders was wiped out.

Small monsters were indeed small monsters. They only had those few tactics. Even though they had a formation, once there was a way to break it apart, they were easy to deal with.

Under Fearless’ directions for the dual circle formation, the Holy Defenders were slowly wiped out. Soon after, all of them were killed.

“Indeed, there is a third wave…” Seeing the system notification, everyone was devastated.

In the battle just now, the Magicians did not suffer many losses, but the Guardian suffered heavy losses. There was only a total of 20-odd Guardians left.

Other than losing twenty-odd people in the first round, everyone was more familiar with working together. However, Fearless was the only Priest in the team and so he could not do much. After ten rounds, many front row players were killed. This was indeed a mutually destructive situation.

Of course, the players were not upset with the low survival rate as after all, the Holy Defenders were level 60 holy system elite monsters. Only players who fought with them before knew how tough they were to deal with. Luckily, they had Fearless in command. If it was anyone else, they would probably have failed the quest before the first round was over.

Hence, by now, Moonless Thunder and Berserk Thundergod really looked up to Fearless.

In the first round, they killed a thousand with no losses. In the second round, they had an 8 to 10 death ratio despite being in a disadvantage. No wonder he could lead ten people to kill thousands. His commanding ability was indeed expert-level.

“What do we do from now on?” Berserk Thundergod and Moonless Thunder who were convinced asked Fearless as though he was their lifeline.

“The front row has been wiped out. It will be tough. Let’s take a step at a time,” Fearless said with a sigh.

“You mean we can’t win anymore?” Berserk Thundergod said.

“That’s right, but now what?” Ming Du asked.

“What else can we do? I’ve tried my best here. At most I can do is buy time for you. As to how we can get the quest item, you guys come up with a way. Anyway, it isn’t our quest,” Fearless replied.

“Yes, it isn’t our quest so we might not even get the rewards.” Quan Zhen Sect agreed after seeing what Fearless said.

“Screw all of you!” Ming Du was angry as they were not helping him.

At the crucial moment, Wang Yu was more reliable. Seeing how Ming Du was so frustrated, he quickly said, “Alright, don’t bully Old Li anymore. I have a way.”
