《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 617. Another Hidden Quest Chain

“Regis?” Hearing what Reynolds said, Quan Zhen Sect was shocked. The usually easily startled Ming Du yelled there and then.
Is this Regis the one who wrote the letter? He is actually the Grand Wizard, Reynolds’, mentor?
At this thought, everyone looked at the smug-looking Ming Du with jealousy-filled eyes. This bastard’s luck was too good. He managed to gain a treasure this time around.
“Why? Brother Ming Du knows this person?” Moonless Thunder asked curiously as he saw Ming Du’s reaction.
“No…” Ming Du shook his head, “I just find this name odd. Why isn’t he called Durex instead?”
“Argh!” Berserk Heavenlaw pointed their middle fingers at Ming Du.
Moonless Thunder also looked at this bastard speechlessly then turned to ask Reynolds, “May I know where is Regis?”
“Forget it, you guys won’t be able to complete this quest. Don’t waste any more money.” Reynolds felt sorry for Moonless Thunder who had been cheated of a lot of money.
“Master Reynolds, don’t worry, we have tens of thousands of people in the guild. We will be able to complete any quest.” Moonless Thunder once again brought up how he had tens of thousands of subordinates.
Quan Zhen Sect was annoyed at what they heard. He either mentioned how he was a rich man or that he had tens of thousands of subordinates, as if he feared anyone would not know these facts. How pathetic that he had to brag to an NPC now. If not his ability to complete tasks, everyone would question his intelligence.
“Alright.” Reynolds helplessly shook his head and said, “Master Regis has sunk to the bottom of the sea with Atlanta City.”
“What? At the bottom of the sea…” Moonless Thunder heard him and instantly felt hopeless.

Sank to the bottom of the sea also meant that Regis was in the Atlanta dungeon in the Ocean of Death. Only level 60 players could enter the Atlanta dungeon and so, it meant that they could only complete the quest after reaching level 60.
The game server has been opened for so long and players had only reached up to the level 30s. It would be a long time before they reached level 60… Furthermore, Berserk Heavenlaw may only have ten thousand people but even if they had a hundred thousand people, the quest could not be completed then.
At the thought of this, and feeling his empty wallet, Moonless Thunder could not help but start to feel depressed. The rest of Berserk Heavenlaw also looked upset.
They had spent their money and asked their questions only to reach such an ending.
After putting in so much effort, they only proved that they could not complete this quest. It was as tormenting as finding out their bride was actually a man on their wedding night. Furthermore, they were just bragging a while ago and now, they were shamed. The sadness they felt could not be put into words.
“Hehe, it must be tough to order around ten thousand subordinates.” Ming Du despicably ridiculed them after seeing how Moonless Thunder was in agony.
“Hmph…” Moonless Thunder glared fiercely at Ming Du then turned to ask Berserk Thundergod, “What now?”
“What can we do? Can I have my wrongly-spent money back?” Berserk Thundergod demanded from Fearless.
“Hehe…” Fearless laughed and took out his staff.
Berserk Heavenlaw turned to Reynolds and Reynolds also quietly pulled out a shining staff, so they could only stand in silence.
These guys were so insane that it made the game tough to play on.

“Since so, we shall make a move first. Thank you all for your help.” Moonless Thunder said with lots of injustice.
Fearless smiled and said, “No worries. Five thousand to bring you somewhere. I hope I will get more of such good deals.”
“…” Once Fearless said that, Berserk Heavenlaw’s faces twitched.
“Hmph, let’s go!” Berserk Thundergod snickered then he brought his subordinates out of the library.
Seeing how Berserk Heavenlaw left, Quan Zhen Sect simultaneously surrounded the Grand Wizard, Reynolds.
Reynolds did not say anything, but he gently placed his staff onto the table, warning those guys not to start any trouble.
Ming Du smilingly took out Regis’ letter and showed Reynolds, “Hey, Grand Wizard, do you know what this is?”
“One question for one hundred gold coins, you are welcome to pay more too…” Reynolds repeated their pricing then said softly, “I don’t.”
“…” Ming Du paused for a moment then started tearing up. What else could he say?
Just then, Wang Yu suddenly said, “This is Regis’ letter.”
“Old Bull, I wasn’t asking you. Why do you have to speak?” Ming Du said.
“Master Regis’ letter? How did you guys get it?” Reynolds questioned.
“One question for one hundred gold coins, you are welcome to pay more too.” Wang Yu mimicked Reynolds’ tone.
“F*ck! Old Bull, what are you doing?” Quan Zhen Sect was startled by what they heard.
“Haven’t you guys heard of treating others how they treat you?” Wang Yu asked condescendingly.
Indeed, after Wang Yu finished speaking, Reynolds gave him one hundred gold coins.
Everyone was startled once more, “What the F*ck! This is possible too?”
“Of course. When dealing with an NPC, you have to be more shameless than him.” Wang Yu said proudly, then told Reynolds, “I was the one who opened the Atlanta dungeon.”
“No wonder…”
Reynolds looked at Wang Yu in shock and said, “I actually gave a Magician the Atlanta’s Key. In the end, it was opened up by a Pugilist. Fate is indeed a mysterious thing, and you are indeed extraordinary.”
Hearing what Reynolds said, Quan Zhen Sect’s heartbeats beat harder.
Usually, NPCs only recognise items and not people. However, Reynolds not only ignored Ming Du who owned the letter, he even remembered the original owner of the Atlanta’s Key. He was indeed a top-notch NPC with groundbreaking artificial intelligence.
“Hey, the letter is mine. There is no point sucking up to him.” Ming Du said desperately when he saw how Reynald’s intelligence was so high that he could recognise things and ignored items.
“I know.” Reynolds said calmly, “I have to abide the game rules. Since you have the letter, I can only give you this quest.”
As Reynolds spoke, he picked up his staff and tapped Ming Du with it. Ming Du then received a system notification.
“Atlanta’s Brilliance” round one, “The Great Prophet”: Go to Atlanta City to look for Prophet Regis and ask him for the six hidden grounds.
“Damn, this old man treats me like a joke,” Ming Du upsettingly said after sharing the quest details on the guild chat, “Atlanta City is a level 60 dungeon. Berserk Heavenlaw couldn’t go in, can Quan Zhen Sect get in?”
“That is hard to say,” Wang Yu said, “Intelligent NPCs may have bad characters, but the quest chain system is very strict. It is not possible that it was such a huge BUG. Ask him if he has any special equipments or items.”
