《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 538. Competitor

As Fearless saw the system notification. he furrowed his brows and then smiled faintly, "How much did he spend?"
"1000 gold and he seemed pretty desperate to have it. If you don't have 2000 gold, you can forget about buying it from him. I do want to see how broke you're going to be after today!" Nine Solitary Spears rejoiced in his misfortune as he replied.
The average price of a BOSS was about 100 gold. Only those that could drop unique tools would be valued over 1000 gold. If Hidden Lurker spent 1000 gold to buy the BOSS, it seemed like he was really determined about the Crown of the Flower Goblin too.
"1000 gold is really not a small sum. Hidden Lurker must be really generous to offer that but this is an unlucky year for him… It seems like I'm going to save a sum of money today."
At the thought of this, Fearless turned to tell the rest, "Someone else bought the BOSS."
"Bought the BOSS? So did we waste our trip here?" The Sky Dragon City and Twilight City were not near each other and the trip to and fro would take about an hour. The time wasted could have been used to clear two dungeons.
Fearless smiled, "Not really because the person who bought the BOSS was Hidden Lurker."
"So it's that trash." When he heard Hidden Lurker's name, Wang Yu stood up with his fists clenched.
Wang Yu had never considered Hidden Lurker to be a man of honour. However, just one experience with him allowed Wang Yu to comprehend the true meaning of "One may know a person for a long time without understanding his true nature". After hearing all the things he did before, Wang Yu automatically tagged the word 'trash' to his name.
If Wang Yu didn't kill a person like that a few times every time he sees him, he might not be able to eat or rest in peace.
Fearless nodded, "En, he is the one. Later, everyone listens to my instructions and we will snatch the BOSS from him. I'll let him squander his 1000 gold."

The Flower Goblin BOSS was purchased from Nine Solitary Spears. If the Quan Zhen Sect stole the BOSS from Nine Solitary Spears' territory, Hidden Lurker would definitely want to reason it out with Nine Solitary Spears. Nine Solitary Spears did owe Quan Zhen Sect a BOSS so this was the best time to let Hidden Lurker exterminate the Apocalypse by forcing them to suffer in silence.
Of course, the Quan Zhen Sect came with the intention to end Nine Solitary Spears' career so they would naturally not allow him to respawn again. Currently, one party forked out gold while the other forked out the BOSS. Given Nine Solitary Spears' temper, if the BOSS were to disappear out of the blue, Nine Solitary Spears would most certainly assume that Hidden Lurker was the culprit behind this. Killing two birds with one stone was the ideal situation for Fearless and the Quan Zhen Sect.
The location where the Flower Goblin respawned was called Fantasy Garden. From the coordinates sent by Nine Solitary Spears, Fantasy Garden was located in a level 30 monsters zone near the northern suburbs of the Sky Dragon City.
The Flower Goblin was never a high-level BOSS. It was only this popular because of the item it would drop. In fact, there was a Flower Goblin BOSS in all 20 zones in the game. However, because of the unique characteristic of the Flower Goblin, the respawn point of the BOSS was all different. Some could be in level 50 monsters zone while some in level 70 monsters zone.
Currently, the Apocalypse was the only guild who had found the Flower Goblin BOSS and even offered to sell it. After all, the Crown of the Flower Goblin was an exceedingly valuable item with exceptional attributes. Nobody would want anyone else to obtain it up cheaply. Nine Solitary Spears was no exception.
Without much effort, Quan Zhen Sect arrived at Fantasy Garden.
Presently, the average level of most gamers was level 30 so level 30 monsters zone should be the most crowded. However, after the Apocalypse claimed this territory, no other gamers dared to enter this place except for the members of the Apocalypse.

This was the cold hard truth because of the limited resources in the game. The person/guild with more power would always have the final say. As for small groups of players without any ability to compete, they would never be able to complete special dungeons or fight monsters like the Flower Goblin.
Because the members of the Apocalypse were used to being overbearing and controlling this area, they wouldn't think any outsiders will come into their territory. Therefore, the Quan Zhen Sect walked into Fantasy Garden brazenly without any obstructions. Perhaps because they acted as though they owned this place, the members of the Apocalypse in Fantasy Garden actually thought that they were one of them too.
As they arrived at the respawn point of the Flower Goblin, the Quan Zhen Sect saw Hidden Lurker's United Alliance.
There were a total of 25 players from the United Alliance. Under the leadership of Hidden Lurker, they formed two circles. The outer circle were clearing the small monsters called the Flower Elves while the inner circle was dragging the Flower Goblin's guards called the Man-eating Flower Guards.
The two people right in the middle of the circle dealing with the Flower Goblin were a Pugilist and a female Priest.
That Pugilist was indeed Nian Liuyun while the female Priest was someone none of the Quan Zhen Sect members recognised. The outfit on the unknown female Priest left everyone in the Quan Zhen Sect in shock.
"F*ck! That's the Hundred Flowers Outfit!"
As a piece of Durable equipment, the Hundred Flowers Outfit was not considered extremely rare in the market. Every time the Flower Goblin BOSS died once, it would drop one item. If the BOSS was killed once per day, over such a long period of time, one might even be able to assemble a few sets of the Hundred Flowers Outfit if he worked hard enough during auctions.
Of course, the attributes of the Hundred Flowers Outfit was not that great and incredibly expensive. Hence, it was usually treated as a piece of fashionable equipment mainly for wealthy men to woo women… Fearless believed that besides the GM, he was probably the only person who knew the hidden attributes of the Hundred Flowers Outfit.
"It doesn't matter even if they have the Hundred Flowers Outfit as long as they don't have the Light of Enticement right?" Frost Blade commented.
As compared to the Light of Enticement, the Hundred Flowers Outfit was easier to find.
However, Fearless frowned as he replied, "No, that female Priest is using the Imperial Edict!"
"No way! How can this be a coincidence?" Everyone was dumbfounded when they heard that.
It was already incredible that they found out about the hidden attributes of the Hundred Flowers Outfit. Who would have thought that they had a Priest who knew how to use Imperial Edict too? Evidently, Hidden Lurker came prepared and even knew the specific detail on how to capture the Flower Goblin.
"So what should we do now? Are we still going to steal the BOSS?" Boson asked Fearless.
If Hidden Lurker didn't know the method to capture the Flower Goblin and the Quan Zhen Sect exterminated the United Alliance, he would at most get back at Nine Solitary Spears.
Now that Hidden Lurker knew the method and they snatched the BOSS from him, he would most likely call out the Apocalypse to gang up against Quan Zhen Sect.
If it was a merely a fight between Quan Zhen Sect and United Alliance, Nine Solitary Spears would be more than willing to watch them fight each other without getting involved. However, if he knew that their intention was to kidnap the BOSS, he would never sit back and watch. In online games, snatching a BOSS was not something any more honourable than digging out an ancestral tomb.
Ming Du just learnt how to use the Light of Enticement so they would need some time before they could capture the Flower Goblin. The moment the Apocalypse found out that the Quan Zhen Sect kidnapped their BOSS, wouldn't they go mad? If that happens, all they need to do was to seal the alley and surround Fantasy Garden so that the Quan Zhen Sect could forget about escaping.
