《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 482. Stage's Rewards

Looking at the system notification, Thunderlord asked in shock, "The two of you completed it?"
Thunderlord was a very prideful man. As a professional top expert, he was extremely confident of his own strength. As he fought alongside the Quan Zhen Sect for this dungeon, he learnt a bit about Wang Yu's skills. He knew that Wang Yu was incredibly impressive but in his faint memory, there were also a few other top experts with such skills in terms of physical manipulation. No matter how impressive Wang Yu was, he was still just one of the many experts and shouldn't be exceedingly better than them. However, this scene in front of him simply made him shiver a little.
The Parasite Queen was able to exterminate 13 top experts including himself. How did two mere Pugilist defeat it?
"En!" Wang Yu replied, "This plaything is afraid of the gastric acids and the [Grappling] skill works well to control it."
"Oh…" Thunderlord finally understood how Wang Yu defeated the Queen Parasite.
Everyone else was exterminated only because they didn't know the weakness of the Queen Parasite.
The [Grappling] skill was a skill that other jobs could use too. However, a Pugilist's [Grappling] skill was the most outstanding. It was logical that they could defeat the Queen Parasite because they found both its weakness and the way to control it.
Of course, Thunderlord would never be able to imagine the danger Wang Yu went through earlier if he chose to explain.
"Old Bull, did you touch the Queen Parasite's corpse to see if it left anything behind?"
With an OP gamer like Wang Yu around, the members of the Quan Zhen Sect were already used to it. They were no longer concerned about how the BOSS died but rather if the BOSS did drop anything.
"Touch your head! The corpse has already been dissolved!" The moment they mentioned this, Wang Yu felt depressed again.
"Tsk! What kind of hidden stage is so stingy? To think that they only gave us these…"

Hearing Wang Yu's complain, everyone in the Quan Zhen Sect started cursing at how stingy the system was… After all, everyone was f*cked once by the BOSS in which Boson and Thunderlord had it much worse. They were f*cked twice… For an S grade quest to only give them a title like that, it was not even enough to be called a consolation prize.
After all, there were not a lot of insect monsters in > and even lesser parasite monsters like the one they faced.
Fearless added, "Alright! It is still better than nothing… Faction dungeon was never a dungeon to collect equipment anyway."
30 seconds later, everyone was forced out of the dungeon and returned back to the Dusk Plateau.
The Dusk Plateau was plain and quiet as before. The ground had no trace of them being swallowed by Di Kapia at all and this made everyone gasped in surprise.
"This monster really appear and disappear so unpredictably! Everything looks as though nothing has changed!"
"What a pity! We didn't get to see how the ancient beast looks like." Vainglory looked around and commented in a disappointed tone when he saw no trace of Di Kapia left behind.
"Alright, stop wasting time and let's carry on." Thunderlord rushed everyone on the group chat as he said, "We have wasted quite a bit of time on this hidden stage."
Everyone stopped discussing how Di Kapia looked like as they organised their formation and continued their journey.
Not long after, Di Kapia's deep voice could be heard again.
"Thank you all for helping me."
"..."
Everyone was equally as shocked as one another when they heard Di Kapia's voice.
According to past experiences, the BOSS would usually start giving out rewards when they mentioned something like that. Therefore, everyone hurried to reply, "You're welcome."
"En?" Di Kapia was slightly taken aback as he replied, "So all of you have not left?"
"..." Everyone's face turned gloomy as they asked, "So what will happen if we left?"

"Since you haven't left, this is a thank you gesture to show my sincerity. I hope you brave warriors will kindly accept it." Di Kapia didn't directly answer the squad's question. Instead, he used a practical way to express his intention - If you guys left, the rewards would have remained with me.
Everyone was cursing the system in their hearts over 180 times. To think the system really wanted to be so stingy about these rewards that they had worked so hard for. It was indeed true that none of these BOSS designed by the system was good people.
Di Kapia might not be a good person but he was still willing to give out the rewards.
After the system notification, everyone's attributes increased and an exquisite treasure chest appeared in their hands.
Di Kapia's present: Ancient treasure chest. Opening the treasure chest will allow one to receive your own job's equipment or skill book. There is a possibility to receive a special item. The item would not be anything less than rare.
Requirement to open: None.
Nobody knew what the dungeon completion points. However, when they saw the treasure chest, all of them, even the experienced Thunderlord, had their mouths wide opened.
There was no need for any introduction of rare skills. Equipment, however, was divided into Normal, Excellent, Outstanding, Rare, Distinguished, Ancient and Legendary. Rare also referred to gold equipment.
In the current stage of this game, a large majority of experts had yet to collect a full set of silver equipment. Gold equipment could be considered incomparably precious. It was extremely incredible that they would be able to open treasure chests that would guarantee an item of at least the gold grade. Imagine if they opened and it was an Ancient or Legendary equipment? Just the thought of it was so sweet.
After receiving their treasure chests, everyone couldn't wait to open it…
However, the group of them still underestimated how despicable the system could be. However, anything involving probability was dependent on a person's luck.
Gold radiances shot up to the sky and everyone's hopeful faces turned into faces of disappointment.
15 people, excluding Vainglory and Wang Yu, all received a gold grade equipment suitable for their jobs.
Even though gold grade was considered decent and valuable, it was still slightly short of Ancient and Legendary grades which were what they wished to get.
Vainglory managed to obtain a skill book called "Shadows Chain Kick".
Shadows Chain Kick: Using extremely quick continuous kick to cause damage to the opponent and float in the air. Ultimately, one can execute the greatest flying kick to cause massive damage to the opponent.
Shadows Chain Kick was a skill which could result in five segments of damages. Not only was the opponent going to float in the air after the kick, the power of the last flying kick was the combined damage done on the opponent from the first four kicks. This was an extremely powerful and mighty skill.
The reason why Pugilists were castigated by players was because a weak defense job didn't even have skills that could cause great damages. Even Wang Yu didn't possess any decent skills. The only reason he could cause great damages was because of his high coordination ability. Other Pugilists could forget about doing so unless they were as talented as Wang Yu.
Vainglory was still able to be considered outstanding in the early stages of the game because of his ability. However, as other players had increasingly new and better equipment, he felt as though he was slowly losing out. Now that he had this new powerful skill, his strength was suddenly increased to the next level.
Vainglory finally got lucky once so he casually showed off his skill first before asking Wang Yu, "Uncle Bull, what did you get? Why don't you show it to us?"
Wang Yu replied in a disappointed tone, "Forget it… It is a rubbish."
