《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 446. The Precious Job Change Token

Killer's Job Change Token: Find the King of Killers, Reinald in the Sin City and unlock the hidden heroic class- The Killer.
"Heroic class!!".
Seeing what Wang Yu had just sent, One Page Book and Lone Vagrant Guest both exclaimed in surprise.
Being the only hidden class, it was already a rarity, but as a heroic class, things were even better. In the entire game, there were seven heroic classes and seven apostles, but this was the only hidden class.
To contextualise things, there were over a hundred million players in 'Rebirth', and this figure only increased day by day, which showed just how rare the heroic classes were.
Lone Vagrant Guest thought that he had struck the jackpot when he received a branch job quest, but seeing Wang Yu's job change token, his delight vanished.
Of course, he did not feel that it was unfair, after all, this quest was led by Wang Yu throughout.
The most important thing was that the Tool of the Heart of Darkness was in Wang Yu's hands. He was also the one who stalled the assassin and bought time for the two of them, which allowed them to reach the peak of the mountain.
If not for him, the two of them would have been placed into the White Bone Altar and the sixth apostle would have been unleashed. The thought of it still scared Lone Vagrant Guest, to the two of them, the rewards of the quest were not even on their minds.
Moreover, Wang Yu rejected the tempting offer from the assassin about the apostle class, it was only right that he got the heroic class reward.
"Mmm…" Wang Yu looked at the token in his hand and tossed it into his bag. He then said something which nearly made Lone Vagrant Guest vomit.

"This trash has no use…".
Hidden classes were as rare as they could be, but Wang Yu had already seen four of them.
In his time with the Quan Zhen Sect, he had already seen 3, hence, he was not as emotional as Lone Vagrant Guest.
He couldn't help but rage, "F*ck! Bull God, if you're not gonna use it for yourself, give it to me.".
Wang Yu asked, "I'm a Pugilist, what use do I have for this?".
"This is a job change token, not a job change scroll, the token allows you to change your class… I have a friend from the Saintly City who was a Pugilist as well, but because he constantly donated the Vatican Court, he got a Priest Job Change token as well and changed his class," Lone Vagrant Guest explained.
In 'Rebirth', tokens were scarce in number, and they all had special uses. For example, the job change scroll allows one to accept a quest and become a member of that job if one did not have a job before, but job change scrolls allowed players to change their jobs entirely.
Even though Lone Vagrant Guest level was not high, he liked to mix around in the wild, running about to all corners of the world. He had seen many strange and rare things and had heard many odd stories.
"So that's how it works. But I'm already in a heroic job, can I get another one then?" Wang Yu asked.
Lone Vagrant Guest shook his head, "Nope.".
"I thought so too," Wang Yu agreed.
"So, it's better if you give me the token, I can sell it for cash…" Lone Vagrant Guest sneakily said.
"Don't you already have a branch class?".
He replied, "My branch class is just a bandit, heroic classes can use skills that belong to the main job and all branch classes.".

Even though branch classes and heroic classes were all hidden classes, there was a large difference between the two.
Branch classes referred to unorthodox classes that players could not traditionally pick in the game. Even though these branch classes had special skills and quirks that the traditional classes did not, their biggest shortcoming was that there were no end game ultimate move-type skills for them.
For example, Ming Du, who was a Fire-Lightning 'Fusion' Mage, could not learn thousand mile deep freeze, lightning's grand hook, meteor lava and other end game mage skills. Even though the powerful skills in the branch classes were strong, they could not measure up to the end game ultimate moves.
Heroic classes were different, apart from being able to learn skills from two different classes, they could also learn the fundamental skills of their own class in addition to their special skills.
If Lone Vagrant Guest became a Killer, he could still learn Assassin skills.
"I see, not bad, I wanted to sell if off at first, but now that you mention it, maybe not…" Wang Yu nodded.
It was not that Wang Yu was completely against the idea of selling it, but rather, he wanted to show his friends the token.
One Page Book and Lone Vagrant Guest were both Thieves, even though One Page Book's expression could not be seen now, she definitely had thoughts about the token as well.
Both of them were not poor.
Wang Yu could tell from One Page Book's moves that she was not just a practitioner of martial arts as her technique just now was the Southern Tiger Crane Fists.
Even though the technique was not as famous as the Taiji's Eight Tier Fists, it was no sitting duck. This lass did not have an ordinary background.
If the two were to end up fighting over the token, with Wang Yu caught in the middle, how awkward would that be? But as a professional gamer, Wang Yu's livelihood depended on this, he couldn't just give it away either.
After keeping the token, Wang Yu took out three skill books, they were all for the Assassin class.
Job requirement: Thief
Skill introduction: The Assassin Li Kun's Trademark Skill
Job requirement: Thief
Skill Introduction: It's a happy thing to obtain something from others.
Job Requirement: None
Skill introduction: In his early years, the assassin Li Kun met a strange doctor and obtained an imprisonment technique. Even though he only learnt a portion of it, through many years of training and hard work, it was enough to help him become a powerful person.

Eleknar's Heir, The Infernal Prince (Demonic LitRPG)
A LitRPG and Epic Fantasy adventure: The son of a mafia boss finds himself abruptly plunged into an alternate world where he must find a way to survive the horrors of a realm called Oblivion, make pacts with demons, form unnatural friendships, and figure out what the hell is going on – all while dealing with the depressing reality of his past. An artificial intelligence has ascended into godhood and has thrown Trey’s home into Chaos, pulling millions of people into an enchanted new life... or, in Trey's case, a violent nightmare. As far as he can tell, he is locked into what the system prompts call a ‘Death Game.’ Here, artificial reality is manufactured for the enjoyment of a being called the All Spirit, and he has a very real chance of truly dying. Just how real is this place though? Is it merely a simulation, a realistic game of life and death… or is it something much more? Elves, dwarves, undead, and other races only thought to exist in fairy tales are now a reality. Black magics, pantheons of gods at odds with one another, predatory symbiotes, and an unholy calling, the significance of which he has yet to grasp, are all entangled with his fate. ============================================ ============================================ Some things to expect when reading this book series: - Brutal storyline where no character is safe and choices have real consequences. Heavy on action, survival, and adventure - An isekai. The main character struggles to find himself, repeatedly crossing the line between good and evil as other important characters influence his life - Harem (explicit), though this only starts about 180k words in. - Good amounts of crafting, town building, and guild building later on - Good amounts of fantasy-related LitRPG stats, rank ups, and evolutions. Heavy focus on demons and black magics - There will be many points of view, but there is only one primary/main character that takes up 90% of the POV - A long storyline. Currently (as of 7/26/2021) I have about 1500k words written, though much of it will have to be heavily edited and re-written. I also plan to go far beyond 1500k words if people like the story (A lot of it is also in the 'backstories' book that explores the guildmates, the link is below) - Chapters will have an average of about 4k-5k words, a little longer than most other books on RR, though there will be exceptions for more and less. I just didn't like posting chapters that didn't feel complete, and 2k words often felt like too little. - If you like super-heroic and goody-goody characters, this story is not for you. ***Updated once a week***

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
