"Does that matter?" The longer Lone Vagrant Guest listened, the more confused he got. One was a Quest Tool while the other was the BOSS's weak point. Even though both contained the word 'Heart', wasn't the difference too huge?

"Then why do you think he isn't killing the both of you?" Wang Yu asked again.

"I am handsome…" Lone Vagrant Guest was persistent in his own views.

One Page Book commented, "I think Brother Bull has a point."

"Either way, you're not handsome." This was a true example of how unruly a woman could be.

"No, we can't do that." Wang Yu continued, "We cannot destroy this heart because it is a Quest Tool. We can only destroy it using the quest's method."

"Yes!" Wang Yu replied. "This White Bone Altar should be the altar used to lift the seal of the Heart of Darkness. On the other hand, the altar on top of the mountain should be the altar to seal the Heart of Darkness. Therefore, we should bring the Heart of Darkness back to the altar at the peak of the mountain before using the Dagger of Seal to seal it."

"But we can't go anywhere now." Lone Vagrant Guest glanced at Wang Yu, who had been kept busy by Assassin Lyon throughout the entire time.

Assassin Lyon was a nimble BOSS and speed was its strength. Even a powerful expert like Wang Yu could barely hold on against Assassin Lyon. Therefore, the others could forget about escaping or outrunning the BOSS.

Wang Yu replied while avoiding the attacks of the BOSS, "I can restrain him while the two of you bring the Heart of Darkness to the mountain."

In a three men team situation like this, the Heart of Darkness was something that could be transferred to the other two members.

"This works too!" Lone Vagrant Guest replied, "But first, you still need to pass me the Heart of Darkness."

Having witnessed Wang Yu's capability, Lone Vagrant Guest never doubt the fact that Wang Yu could restrain the BOSS. However, Wang Yu was so occupied with the BOSS so how was he supposed to hand them the heart?

Wang Yu answered, "After your confinement is over, retreat to the valley. I will go over immediately after shaking him off."

As he spoke, Wang Yu shifted his body and raised his dagger to welcome the incoming BOSS head-on.

Earlier, Wang Yu had been dodging the attacks of the BOSS. Throughout the majority of the time, the BOSS didn't even manage to touch Wang Yu's shirt. Because of this, the BOSS was already extremely infuriated. Now that Wang Yu dared to welcome an exchange with him directly, Assassin Lyon wielded both daggers and charged straight at Wang Yu.

Assassin Lyon's ultimate move: One Strike Fatal Blow

Wang Yu used his dagger to block.

One Strike Fatal Blow turned Wang Yu into a white light and Assassin Lyon stared at where Wang Yu disappeared. However, he didn't see any trace of the Heart of Darkness. This was when he started to panic and was clearly at a loss.

At this moment, Assassin Lyon heard sounds from behind him and turned his head furiously. All he saw was Wang Yu executing his [Crushing Blow] and heading towards the entrance of the valley. [Crushing Blow] followed by [Flash] and within seconds, Wang Yu covered about a distance of ten metres.

[Afterimage Fist] and [Afterimage Explosion] were two different skills. Players could choose not to have the explosion and the effect of white light appearing was extremely similar to a real player's death.

Just before Assassin Lyon caught up with Wang Yu, he had already reached the entrance of the valley. He handed Lone Vagrant Guest the Heart of Darkness.

After Lone Vagrant Guest received the Heart of Darkness, he and One Page Book immediately ran up the mountain.

"Ridiculous! You're trying to escape?"

Assassin Lyon flew into a rage as he saw this. He shouted angrily and sprint towards Lone Vagrant Guest in an extreme speed.

Wang Yu took out and drank the content from a green medicinal bottle. After his speed increased by 3 times, he didn't waste any time as he rushed towards Assassin Lyon. The dagger in his hand turned into a long pole which struck Assassin Lyon's legs horizontally. Following that, he lifted his pole vertically.

"Bang!"

Because Assassin Lyon's entire aggro was focused on Lone Vagrant Guest, he didn't realised the small movements of Wang Yu. While he was running, he was unable to defend against Wang Yu and was flipped.

"Despicable fella! I am going to kill you first before killing the other two ants!"

Wang Yu consecutively humiliated Assassin Lyon and Assassin Lyon's anger had finally reached the maximum. The character was set by the system so its temper was extremely stable. Perhaps, the system never expected a BOSS of his level to be driven this mad by anybody.

After its ultimate rage, Assassin Lyon gave up on chasing Lone Vagrant Guest as his body flashed red and he turned towards Wang Yu.

Wang Yu didn't panic as the two daggers on both his hand formed a cross to block the assassin's attack. Afterwards, he moved swiftly to the side. The assassin looked as though he lost his sense of direction as his dagger was now moving towards the side.

After dodging this attack from the assassin, Wang Yu wiped away the cold sweat on his forehead. In this state, the strength of the BOSS's attack was incredibly frightening.

Fortunately, Wang Yu consumed the Adrenaline Pill and his speed was still three times his original speed. Otherwise, Wang Yu might not have been able to dodge the attack. Getting hit by an attack of that magnitude was definitely not a joke.

Even with the effect of Adrenaline Pill, Wang Yu could feel the threat from Assassin Lyon's attack. Evidently, the power of an Ancient BOSS was certainly not just false rumours… Concurrently, Wang Yu learnt his lesson. Just from the initial two exchanges of blows with the BOSS, Wang Yu realised that it was not desirable to assess this BOSS the way one would assess a normal BOSS.

"F*ck! Brother Bull, you're really strong!" Lone Vagrant Guest turned back and witnessed this very scene. He couldn't help himself but to say this.

Wang Yu hurried to shout, "Stop watching and keep running forward! I can only last for at most one more minute." He only had two more bottles of the Adrenaline Pill. Even if he used all of them, it would only last him for about one minute and 40 seconds.

"I got it…" Lone Vagrant Guest continued running forward.

With the three times speed, the skills that Wang Yu executed were so much more exquisite and elaborate. While the BOSS was in this state, the strength of his attacks was much stronger. However, there weren't much changes to his speed. As long as Wang Yu be careful, he should be able to handle the attacks.

Of course, Ancient BOSS was only powerful not just because of its attributes and secret skills. The most terrifying factor was that Ancient BOSS were all intelligent NPCs.

The artificial intelligence in the game could be pretty frightening. Not only could Ancient BOSS use the battlefield to judge the aggro, he could also use all sorts of tactics to trick others. The most irritable part was how they could alter their battle techniques based on the type of battles.

After the few rounds of attack which was deflected by Wang Yu using his own strength, Assassin Lyon finally came to his senses. He believed that he had found the way to defeat Wang Yu.

The assassin's battle skills improved and started to use as little skills as possible. After a while, he decided to forgo the use of skills completely. He simply used his dagger to start spamming normal attacks on him like a wild dog.

As the Chinese saying goes, "Chao fist beats an old master to death." Even though he was simply swinging his dagger wildly, the frequency of the attacks was incredibly fast. Initially, Wang Yu was still able to keep up because of his Adrenaline Pill. But as the effects of the pill started to wear off, it was only a matter of time before Wang Yu would be beaten to death.

At this moment, panic started to set in Wang Yu's heart.
