《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 399. The Desperate Daybreak Studio

"Fortress Fortification!"
Looking at the item in Fearless' hands, Wang Yu and the others instantly understood his intentions.
Just like the high grade recovery medicine formula, the Fortress Fortification was just as valuable in the game.
Moreover, this item was slightly different from the high grade recovery medicine formula. Even in the later stages of the game, the value of the Fortress Fortification wouldn't depreciate. In fact, it would be equally as high regardless of the stages of the game.
More importantly, the medicine was a consumable for every gamer which could be bought again with gold. On the other hand, the employable community for the Fortress Fortification was large guilds.
Large guilds like these would definitely not be short of gold. Therefore, they would undoubtedly be able to salvage the Quan Zhen Sect's desperate situation.
"Who do you intend to sell this to?" Spring Halo asked.
If they chose to market this, such a precious guild treasure like the Fortress Fortification would not have a lack of suitors. The key would be whether the price offered could match the actual worth of this item.
Of course, throwing it into the system for them to auction it off would, logically, be the best way to do it. However, there would be a time limit for the auction. From the start to the end, a minimum of 48 hours was needed.
Moreover, system auction was different from a manual auction. System auction would throw all the items there for gamers to make their bid in the specific time period. However, gamers were smart from the very beginning. Once they saw something good, they wouldn't make a bid for it. They would usually wait until the last moment to bid slightly higher than the previous bid to win it… It would be terrible if they sold this Fortress Fortification for a rubbish price.
"Sanguine Alliance!" Fearless chuckled.
"Sanguine Alliance? Would Sanguine Warflag offer a higher price than others?" A doubtful Spring Halo questioned.
As the saying goes, one should always do comparison shopping. WIth so hundreds of main cities, countless guilds and also hundreds of guilds with huge headquarters, why should they settle with one guild so early on? Wouldn't the price be sold at a very low price?
"They will!"

"Why?"
"Because the Sanguine Alliance's headquarter is already an intermediate level headquarter!" Fearless replied.
"No wonder…" Spring Halo suddenly had a realisation.
Currently, most of the guild's headquarters were of the low levels. An increase of two levels would result in them being a high level headquarter. Only Sanguine Alliance's headquarter would become a village after the increment.
The increase in levels for both headquarters and guild would get increasingly harder and harder. You simply couldn't compare the difficulties in increasing from an intermediate level to a high level with a high level to a village. The time exhausted and effort spent was simply too huge of a difference.
"More importantly, Sanguine Alliance is our friendly alliance. I don't know how to justify if I don't offer something as good as this to them before I offer to anyone else. So let's just both benefit from this." Fearless added.
"En en, I agree!" Wang Yu raised his hand to concur.
Wang Yu was a man who knew how to return favours to those who were kind to him. While Sanguine Warflag might be a fool, he was still the first one to extend a helping hand when the Quan Zhen Sect was in trouble. Evidently, he was someone worthy of befriending. Even if Sanguine Warflag was merely trying to win over the will of people, Wang Yu was truly touched by his initiative.
Everyone else from the Quan Zhen Sect agreed unconditionally once Wang Yu, Fearless and Spring Halo, the three main decision-makers, made the decision.
Sanguine Warflag was also a loyal man with good values. After a series of discussion with Fearless, Sanguine Warflag and Fearless finalised a price for the Fortress Fortification which satisfied both the Quan Zhen Sect and Sanguine Alliance.
When the system announced that the Sanguine Alliance had successfully built the first village headquarters in the game, Quan Zhen Sect's high grade recovery medicine was placed on the shelves of Wang Yu's convenience store.
The difference between the cost of production of high grade recovery medicine and medium grade ones was not high. Moreover, the Daybreak Studio forced the price of ingredients to be so low. Because of these, the high grade recovery medicine sold by Wang Yu was merely slightly more costly than Daybreak Studio's medium grade medicine.

The instant return ratio of the medium grade recovery medicine was 30% while the high grade was 60%. The effect was almost twice while they were priced at almost the same price. It goes without saying which one would be the more popular one.
Once the high grade recovery medicines were up on the shelf, nobody bothered commenting about how Wang Yu was the black-hearted businessman anymore. The labels were instantly gone and rumours stopped spreading almost instantaneously.
Within a few days, the previously flourishing Daybreak Studio was almost completely deserted if it wasn't for a few newer gamers.
Facing such a situation, it was natural for the boss of the Daybreak Studio, Li Xiao Bing to feel annoyed.
"You told me that we are opening the shop to earn money. However, the income from these few days is not even enough to pay the bill. Can someone tell me what is going on?"
Within Li Xiao Bing's office, the Daybreak Studio was incredibly quiet.
"Old Five, this is your idea so you shall explain to me!" An infuriated Li Xiao Bing questioned Old Five.
Li Xiao Bing was a businessman and also the leader of this guild. Normally, he naturally wouldn't lash out at worker over rent fees like this. However, he was truly fearful this time around.
Li Xiao Bing invested all his time and effort into the medicinal industry. When things were made difficult by Fearless, he was able to see through Fearless' tactic easily. He wanted to land a heavy blow on Quan Zhen Sect and thought he destroyed them for good. Who knew that in less than three days, the tide of the situation switched.
It was natural that a person would blow his top when feeling fearful. Li Xiao Bing was not an exception.
Old Five sobbed as he spoke, "I didn't expect them to be able to concoct high grade medicine."
Even up till now, Old Five was still in disbelief that high grade recovery medicine would actually appear during this stage of the game.
"High grade medicine? Tsk!" Li Xiao Bing sneered coldly before asking again, "Then do you know what they're doing now?"
"I have no idea…" Old Five was in charge of many businesses across main cities and was exceedingly busy. In fact, he only found out about what the Quan Zhen Sect people did this morning.
"They are bulk purchasing ingredients!" Li Xiao Bing clenched his teeth as he spoke.
"Ah…" Old Five was not the only who started shivering with cold sweats down their back. Everyone else in the office who heard this was feeling the same way too.
"They still have money to do that?"
"How is this possible? After suffering so much, they still dare to go against us head to head?"
Whispers could be heard within the office very quickly.
Logically speaking, when a person lost everything to a downturn, they wouldn't strike back again. Who knew that the Quan Zhen Sect was not defeated and was even crazy enough to fight back so ferociously?
To think of it in another way, it wasn't impossible to understand why they did what they did. If they could produce high grade medicine, risking everything to fight head on did show that they had some courage.
"So what do we do now?" A worried Old Five asked.
In this battle, the Daybreak Studio's only control was the price of the ingredients. Eventually, they surprised everyone by showing their ability to produce medium grade medicine too. This was why they were able to land a blow on the Quan Zhen Sect.
The only way the Quan Zhen Sect could turn this around would be through a large influx of gold. With sufficient gold invested, they would be able to regain control of the price market. If the investment wasn't enough, everything they had would end up going to the Daybreak Studio.
But now that the Quan Zhen Sect brought in the high grade medicine as their trump card, they were no longer worried about the increment of prices. In fact, they even showed their intention to fight head to head. If they couldn't find a trump card of similar significance as the high grade recovery medicine, the Daybreak Studio would most like lose their month worth of income just like that. How and where are they supposed to find another Pharmacist capable of concocting high grade medicine?
Li Xiao Bing clenched his teeth and said, "You die or I live!"
