《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 398. High Grade Recovery Medicine Formula

"Little snow, have your alchemy level reached the medium grade?" Wang Yu turned back to ask Li Xue.
Li Xue replied, "I was not that far away, to begin with. However, Brother Frost Blade gave me an Alchemist Treasure Chest yesterday and it gave me quite a bit of experience points. Because of that, I've reached the medium grade."
Alchemists and pharmacists were not too different. The higher the level of medicine concocted, the more proficient they were in their jobs. Ever since Li Xue became an alchemist, she had been concocting medium grade recovery medicine over and over again. After some time, it was natural that she became proficient in what she did. Therefore, even if she didn't receive the treasure chest, it was only a matter of days before she could become a medium grade alchemist.
"You should be able to learn this formula right?" As Wang Yu spoke, he took out a dirty looking piece of parchment paper.
"This, could this be… The formula for a high grade recovery medicine?" Everyone was in shocked when they saw the piece of parchment Wang Yu pulled out.
"Yes indeed!" Wang Yu opened up the attribute display.
High grade medicine formula: Learning this will allow the concoction of high grade recovery medicine.
"F*ck! Why do you seem to have everything?" Everyone was still in complete shock.
The current price of a medium grade recovery medicine formula was enough to raise people's hackles. The price and drop rate of a high grade recovery medicine formula basically existed only in legends and rumours. It was something that would only appear in the later stages of the game. Who knew that someone could get hold of it in such early stages of this game?
Even Mu Zi Xian asked in disbelief, "I cannot believe I didn't know you had something like that."
Wang Yu smiled, "I just recalled that I had it too…"
This high grade recovery medicine formula was purchased by Wang Yu from the hidden dungeon at Elf City. At that point in time, it cost Wang Yu 2000 gold. 2000 gold of the past was equivalent to 20000 gold which was why it was carefully kept at the deepest end of his storage ring. If it wasn't for Fearless' reminder, he would have forgotten about it.

"This, this is way too precious… Brother Yu, I…" As a professional gamer who spent most of her time concocting medicines, she naturally knew the price of this formula.
One must know that there were over billions of gamers in <>. The demand for medicine was definitely an unthinkable amount. If someone could concoct high grade recovery medicine at this stage of the game, he/she would undoubtedly be the most sought-after supplier.
Therefore, although Wang Yu spent 2000 gold to purchase this formula, its value was certainly much more when sold to any auction.
Wang Yu was the one who helped Li Xue complete her alchemist quest. He was also the one who provided her with a free medium grade recovery medicine for free. Because of these bits of help, Li Xue was able to transform into a gamer with one of the highest potentials in this game.
Even so, Li Xue knew that Wang Yu didn't put such matters to heart. However, both of them were still unrelated to one another in any way and Wang Yu had helped enough. Li Xue was definitely unable to accept such a huge gift such as this formula for high grade recovery medicine.
Of course, Wang Yu understood the theory of "Not getting a reward if it's not deserved". Hence, he smiled and said, "I'm trying to make up for our losses. Please don't over think."
Ming Du added on, "The price of this formula is going to give us way more than what we lost…"
Ming Du was right because this formula was definitely worth much more than they lost. This was also why everyone felt that the second method was not probable…"
Wang Yu answered, "What do you know? Aren't we all fighting to survive as much as each other?" Regardless of how much the formula was worth, there would still be benefits in the future by gifting it to a friend. However, it made Wang Yu sick that those gold are flowing into Daybreak Studio's stomach.
"This…" Everyone was speechless and kept quiet.

Indeed, the Quan Zhen Sect had never suffered such huge losses before. Even so, everyone felt that using the high grade recovery medicine to fight for this breath seemed a little too rash.
Li Xue continued to shake her head as she dared not to accept it.
Everyone gasped at how the two of them were stuck in this deadlock.
Ming Du commented unhappily, "Are the two of you done? This plaything is so expensive it's making me tremble. What's the point of pushing it around?"
Wang Yu and Li Xue's faces turned red as they both went back down to sit.
Eventually, Mu Zi Xian was still the one who stood up, "How about this? We can consider this as our investment. In the future, we shall take 30% of Little Snow's profit. No problem with this right?"
Li Xue thought for a while before nodding her head, "En, as long as sister-in-law doesn't earn any less…"
Mu Zi Xian smiled, "30% is quite a lot already. After all, we're merely providing the formula."
"But that is the most valuable thing…"
"Without your alchemy skills, it will only be a makeup prop which was worth nothing."
"Alright, this is a done deal then!" With such an explanation, Li Xue didn't want to decline anymore. She replied, "I will print out an agreement after I go offline later."
It was worthy to note that Mu Zi Xian handled this situation much better than Wang Yu. While friendship couldn't be measured using a price, it varied from person to person. If it was any other member of the Quan Zhen Sect, they would have accepted the offer without any second thoughts. However, Li Xue and Wang Yu were not as close as Wang Yu was with the other members.
Especially since the two of them were of opposite genders, they had to be careful with their behavior. Things could go wrong if one party started to overthink. Just like Yang Guo and Guo Xiang (From the Romance of the Condor Heroes), one shouldn't be so nice to another if he didn't like her.
Wang Yu had the formula while Li Xue had the skills. The lack of either one would be detrimental so only when the two of them worked together, they could turn this into a real benefit.
Seeing how Mu Zi Xian handled the situation so expertly, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. They were truly worried things might go wrong.
"So now what? What shall we do now?" Everyone's eyes turned back onto Fearless' body.
With both the formula for high grade medicine and alchemist, the only thing lacking was Fearless' plan.
"I was just thinking about it. If we only have the high grade recovery medicine, it is still not enough to sink the Daybreak Studio completely."
"And so?"
Fearless continued, "We shall continue with our first method. Purchase the ingredients and fight to the death with the Daybreak Studio."
This time, no one had any objections. Knowing that they had the high grade recovery medicine formula as a hidden trump card, everyone was willing to break the cauldrons and sink the boat to risk it.
But the greatest problem, for now, was the gold…
"Does everyone still have money?" Spring Halo, who was quiet all along, asked.
The majority of everyone's gold had been used to purchase ingredients previously. Taking everyone into considerations, it seemed like only Wang Yu and Mu Zi Xian still had some cash flow from the store. He couldn't possibly expect everyone to use Chinese Yuan to buy gold right.
Only Vainglory came from a wealthy family while the rest of them were just ordinary people. However, Vainglory is only a child… Asking a child to spend money on a game, can they bear to do it?
"I don't have money but I do have this!" Fearless smiled before taking out a block-shaped item.

From the Final World
I have lived a long, long time. Longer than the universe knows; longer than any star has seen or traveling light records. My memories; that is all that is left that knows that length, and that which was seen within it. Then again, that is all that ever did. When I am gone, it will be forgotten, a truth and a history lost forever no matter who or what tries to find it. I think that is why I write this now. A record, or a lament, of the most significant being of all time. It is a prideful exaltation of endless triumph, or the dread condemnation of infinite evil. I don’t know which; I shall leave it for others to judge. I could explain further, of course. I could list the sins that have been committed, the deeds that have been done. Yet for now, I believe this is enough. Her story will speak for itself. About the good, and evil, in the heart of a single girl burdened with more than her fair share. And how she reacted to it. So, I will tell her story. Of gods and devils, mortals and monsters, of legends long forgotten and civilizations long turned to dust. And in the end, I hope she knows herself, whether it is salvation, or destruction, she should receive.

Birth of an AntiHero
AntiHero's FIRST REWRITE IN THE WORKS - thanks!! :] EDIT 2/28/22 - sorry, health problems right now, but I will post after rewriting the first 80-90,000 words or so and start fresh from there! Expect the change to be uploaded before summer! So long as I can keep using my hands, that is~! ^_^ X] This story will indeed get fleshed out as my vision improves for the better. But I feel the need to emphasize that a lot of parts are written in improvised comic book format as my primary writing style, and this first book is actually the entry point and starting novel for an entire very vast series I am in the works of developing. Many side characters here will eventually be main characters with there own stories; long or short. But this one particularly will be focused and centralized around Noel. Because of this, I do plan to leave the introduction for side characters as still having a special flow for readers to witness a tad of their background, so keep that in mind after my 'obviously many' rewrites from now and going into the future! Sorry for the troubles! I will improve on my style and implementation of the story!(Although I DO plan to keep parts as 'play style' or rather, comic book style, since I find it easier for certain dialogue instances as well as the fact that the novel is inspired by that 'feeling' you get while reading comic books. But my style is still evolving, you were warned!) Thank you! - Noel Tyler Malierano. He's the youngest 'son' to receive approval from 'The Malierano Family': A Criminal Organization of hitmen and hitwomen that specialize in killing, even maintaining success within a vastly superpowered society. Noel finally manages to complete his training as the newest 'Elite' killer his family created...but, there's just one problem - He doesn't want to kill! Come along and delve into a society of conflicting morals through the eyes of a boy, desperately searching for a new path to follow. Can he even manage to free himself from his father's engrained teachings and ideals? Conversely, will killing prove a lot more difficult to ignore? --- --> Thank you very much for reading! It would be helpful for me if you all consider leaving me a comment or an inbox suggestion, a review or even a full rating wherever AND whenever you believe I need to improve on anything or if something I wrote irked you! I appreciate EVERYONE that comes to read my story, however I DO want to improve my work as a writer. I hope all of you who don't like my work will let me know somehow, so I can edit and IMPROVE my story as a whole! Thank you everyone for your time! --- JUST TO NOTE!! When a character has a cultural name like, say, a Japanese or Russian name, that is because that character IS Japanese or Russian! They don't have to be FULL of one ethnicity either - sometimes they will be mixed. This story mainly takes place on an artificial continent where all countries have sent over their respective talents, meaning characters of ALL cultures and ethnic backgrounds will show hints of that in their names. Please don't assume I'm just randomly naming characters names that don't match them. And feel free to talk to me about whatever in my story troubles you - no matter how small! I love to improve. ^-^ X] --- Just to note: Characters will slowly grow as time passes. Slow pace. THANKS for reading! Enjoy! :] --- Decided to post 2 chapters every Tuesday and Friday instead of taking a small break, but I MAY upload once in a while on different days, such as Sundays, in addition to those two. :]
