《World of Experts 》Chapter 83: Temporary Departure

“Counting days, I should return today. But Mina hasn’t returned yet. She has unconditionally taken care of me for so many days. I must bid her farewell before leaving. Okay! Let’s wait for her return.” Shi Hao patiently waited for Mina in Mina’s dilapidated wooden house. But she might never return.
On the other side, Arnold summoned all his subordinates. He stood in front of them and shouted loudly: “Brothers! They have imprisoned Sister Mina. What should we do? Tell me loudly!”
“We must rescue Sister Mina, we must rescue Sister Mina!” Arnold’s subordinates roared and showed their teeth. They used local tyrant’s temper to express their love for Mina.
Mina was indeed a good girl who was worth loving. She had a sweet voice and gentle disposition. She treated people with sincerity and had a positive attitude. In Striped Stone Village, the number one person who shouldn’t be offended was Arnold, and Mina was the second. If you provoke Arnold, then Arnold would beat you. If you provoke Mina, then Arnold would cripple you.
“Brothers! Let’s go, follow me to go and find those small fries.” Arnold’s troops set out and came to a place in the northeast of Striped Stone Village, Bubble Forest.
Looking from the distance, the Bubble Forest was truly a forest of bubbles. There were numerous bubbles floating in the sky, which refracted the light of the light ball, creating colorful scenery. Girls would definitely like this scenery very much. Many noble ladies came here to take a stroll.
Unfortunately, Bubble Forest, this place was not a luxurious meal that the people of Striped Stone Village could enjoy. All lower classed people who offended the Bubble Forest would be captured and severely punished.
And Mina was a lower classed person who offended the Bubble Forest. After learning that she might never be able to reach the continent she dreamed of in her lifetime, and also couldn’t see the real sun, gradually, she became more and more depressed, and she increasingly wanted to fulfill her another wish.

Finally, she made a silly decision. She sneaked into the Bubble Forest to see the legendary rainbow. In order to fulfill her wish, even if she was severely punished, she wouldn’t regret it. Fortunately! She succeeded. She saw the rainbow. She saw the rainbow from the Bubble Forest’s prison.
“What are you all doing? Is this place where you, lowly beings can come?” The gatekeeper of the Bubble Forest berated and stopped Arnold’s troops.
“What are we doing? F*** you!” Arnold was short-tempered. He immediately punched the gatekeeper. His subordinates also didn’t dissuade him. They all set out a helping hand, creating a chaotic melee.
However, it seemed that the ending of this melee was already destined. Arnold’s group was barehanded, whereas the guards were equipped with an iron sword and iron armor (equal to level 1; Seafloor World’s forging skills were very lacking). Moreover, Arnold’s group also had no advantage in numbers, how could they win?
But Arnold truly won! This was a miracle. Haha! Still, there would be a reason for every miracle. This time, the reason was one word, Arnold!
Arnold had a skill! A special skill like historical NPCs’ unique skills (note, Arnold and Mina weren’t historical NPCs). His skill name was Tyrant’s Soul.
The effect of this skill was not so amazing, far inferior to the skills like General Pan Feng. However, in this place where the items were very poor, it was useful enough. In addition, one should know that Arnold’s profession was knight and his technique was also not bad. In this way, his personal combat power was naturally outstanding.
Therefore, relying on his own powerful strength, Arnold slowly defeated all those guards, step by step. Fortunately, it seemed that the leader of these guards wasn’t here. Otherwise, it might not be so smooth. Like this, Arnold successfully broke into the Bubble Forest and finally found imprisoned Mina.
At this moment, Mina was still watching the rainbow. She was very infatuated with it. It was obvious that Mina was not tortured. Her mental state was still very good, which made Arnold’s group feel at ease.

“Mina! We’re here to save you.” At this moment, Arnold smiled, saved Mina and returned to Striped Stone Village. He naturally knew the serious consequences of his such actions. But he had already considered everything clearly. No matter what happened later, he would bear it. He liked Mina, and he would spare no effort to protect Mina.
However, Mina also knew the consequences, and she was also ready to bear anything. Unfortunately, Arnold and Mina were just two unimportant people. Who would avenge them? Perhaps, Shi Hao might avenge them after he became strong. Merely, it would take time.
When the sky was getting dark, Mina returned to her dilapidated wooden house.
Shi Hao became excited and said: “Hey! You are finally back. I am leaving now. You worked hard during this period of time. But don’t worry, I will come back. Do you want anything? I will bring it and give it to you. I don’t lack money!”
Shi Hao’s words didn’t move Mina’s heart. She knew that she already couldn’t escape from a calamity. What was the use of anything? As for asking Shi Hao to help her overcome a crisis, that was sheer nonsense. Even Mina could tell that Shi Hao was very weak.
“Go! When you come next time, it’s useless to look for me. I’m also leaving this place.” Mina said calmly. This calmness originated from the satisfaction of being able to see the rainbow. Her one wish had been fulfilled, which was enough to calm her down.
Merely, this unusual calmness made Shi Hao suspicious. He knew that Mina was a lively girl. It was impossible for her to be so calm when she learned that he was leaving. Shi Hao judged that something must have happened! But he also knew that he couldn’t intervene in the matter of this place. This place was not West Flower Region!
Shi Hao’s eyes flickered, considered for a long time and said: “Okay! I’ll leave first. We’ll meet again.”
Soon, Shi Hao left the house and disappeared from Mina’s vision. Mina was left alone. Everything returned to the trajectory of fate. She was waiting for the trial of fate by herself.
However! Did Shi Hao truly return? No, he didn’t return for real. Since he knew that something was wrong with Mina, how could he truly leave?
In fact, he also had a calculation! According to his observation and what he heard in these past few days, the productivity of this place was too backward. They didn’t even have the equipment. Allegedly, even other wealthy places were not much better. Because various iron ores and other resources were lacking, it was difficult to develop.
Therefore, since that was the case, it was very simple to help them! As long as Shi Hao became their leader, they would be able to enjoy the buff of Shi Hao’s Soul of the Warrior, and this buff was definitely much stronger than the bonus brought by those scrap items. At that time, who could stop them?
Unfortunately, why would these people make Shi Hao their leader? It was a vain dream.
So, Shi Hao decided to change the plan. Since this plan wouldn’t work, he could return and come back with a few boxes of items. Then, as long as he gave Mina those items in the name of loaning them, all troubles wouldn’t be troubles! All items of Shi Hao were of high-quality. No matter how hard the fist was, who’s afraid?
Therefore, Shi Hao was truly not going back. His departure was just for a better return.
But his plan met a small accident…

I promise terrifying mushrooms, angry snakes, confused gods, even more confused cultivators and much, much more! Update schedule: (02/6/2022) As chapters are done, sorry. Progress: Currently up to old chapter 13-15. Chapter 24(or 25)/13, Parts 1 & 2 will be the end of the rework. Part 2 has been temporarily delayed due to me getting a frozen shoulder in the middle of June, which has been very slow to properly clear up. It is getting better, though, but Shoulder/neck is the worst set of muscles to have issues with ;( You can currently pick up most story threads after the rewritten chapters, starting from chapter 13-14 (old) Genre-wise, this is a bit hard to pin down. It's technically a Xianxia (because cultivators!), but it also veers towards Xuanhuan and has more traditional High Fantasy elements and a bit of Gods and Monsters and All Myths Are (on some levels) Valid. It also has a fairly large, ensemble cast, so if multiple point's of view are not your thing I am sorry. It won't ever really be considered 'grimdark' by any real measure of that definition but it does go to some complicated and fairly places dark occasionally, which I will note in author pre-chapter notes when expedient!. About the Author I mainly write fiction for my own hobby, it makes a nice change from academic scribbling! I started writing this quite a number of years ago. It has grown somewhat organically out of a bunch of different interests in all kinds of Mythology, World Building, Drawing Maps, Archaeology, Anthropology, History and Epic Fantasy fiction into what it is today. So I hope you enjoy the story and thanks for reading! Other stuff The cover is made by the author, using photos taken by the author. There is a Discord Server- Please come and chat, but beware of spoilers.

Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
