《Netheril’s Glory 》Chapter 127: Searching for the antidote.

Although Kang Kai really hoped that the young warrior in front of him would return to the path of light, but his viewpoint was not even popular in the Pheren plane, so it was almost comical to think that a fanatical believer of an evil cult would understand him. As expected, even after Kang Kai took out a healing potion and started to heal the warrior's wounds, he just kept laughing maniacally:
"Hahahaha, So funny, Red face and white face? (T/N-Good cop, Bad cop) Even the uppermost official-level lords play such tricks?"
Unbridled laughter echoed throughout the rocky ruin. After a few seconds, the warrior's laughter became more savage, and finally, it turned into a hysterical roar:
"You don't know the greatness of goddess Ti Xiaer. Those nobles slaughtered my entire village for no reason. It was Goddess Ti Xiaer who saved us poor dying souls. She is the only god who can give everyone salvation. Want me to abandon my faith? Keep dreaming."
After finishing his speech, before Kang Kai or Bahanger could react, the warrior captive immediately activated a magical formation hidden in his body. Soon every blood vessel in his body swelled, and his whole body became covered with an abnormally dark green color.
Then…………
"Boom!!"
With the sound of a violent explosion, the flesh and bones of the captured warrior, which now turned into a strong acid, sprayed everywhere in the ruin.
"Disgusting, I hate these slimy things the most."
Bahanger, who was standing in the center of the explosion, received no injury. At this moment, an almost invisible film of battle qi was covering the dwarf's entire body, but the acid splashing around made Bahanger very dissatisfied. Although dwarves often strike iron in the hot forge room, that didn't mean they disliked cleanliness.
On the other hand, Kang Kai left the area before the explosion using his super high speed that was even faster than the shock wave from the blast. Hence, not a single drop of acid splashed on him.

But his face was very gloomy because the power of this explosion exceeded his expectations. It suddenly occurred to Kang Kai that if those believers hiding in Dolez City also used such a method, then there would be massive casualties.
At this time, Punk, sensing Kang Kai's worry and hesitation, slowly stood up and calmly advised:
"If we want to go back to support Dolez City, we must quickly resolve these strongholds."
"...You are right. All we can do now is to be more attentive."
Kang Kai suppressed the worry in his heart and walked into the ruins, then, using a sharp dagger, begun to cut the stones in order to help Punk find clues faster.
Now all the members of this factory stronghold were dead, so all clues could only be found from the ruin.
The instigator of this awkward situation, Bahanger, was now kicking a huge rock unceremoniously. But the old dwarf was not searching for anything, he was just venting his dissatisfaction. However, Punk and Kang Kai's searches were very detailed and time-consuming; therefore, this dissatisfaction got more severe as time went by.
Seeing that Sun Casa was already above his head, Bahanger finally couldn't help but complain:
"I say how long we have to wait here, and what are you guys trying to find in this goddam place? Shouldn't we be hurrying to the next stronghold at this moment?"
"Mr. Bahanger, don't forget that our main purpose is to find the antidote so that we can save the innocent people of Dolez city. We can attack Ti Xiaer at any time, but if there is an antidote here and we missed it because of our hurriedness, wouldn't it cause more innocent people to die?"
Kang Kai did not stop his actions while explaining his primary goal to Bahanger.
Hearing this "Ranger of Justice," Punk thought that he was too optimistic. Although there was a high chance that this perfume factory, which was producing the plague-infected perfume, had some stock of the antidote, but even if this ranger found it, did he really think he could just take it back then mass produce overnight and save all the people of Dolez city?

But Punk agreed with Kang Kai about the matter of attacking Ti Xiaer... they could attack her anytime.
Punk's purpose in finding the antidote was not to "save the people," let alone study it. If he wanted to do such things, he would not be searching for it so diligently as he already had a jar full of antidote in his space ring.
His reason for searching for the antidote was exactly the opposite of Kang Kai's reason. He wanted to destroy it.
"If the residents of Dolez City and Gorat are cured, who will accompany me? What will force the priests to become cannon fodder in the city willingly?"
This was Punk's thinking at this time. For the sake of his plan, the antidote could not be allowed to fall in the hands of Kang Kai or Bahanger.
As the person who attacked impulsively, Bahanger realized that he had made a mistake after hearing that there might be an antidote under the ruins.
The wall of thorns summoned by Punk could have easily stopped the believers from escaping, so there was absolutely no need to smash everything with his hammer. And now that he had created such a mess, Bahanger feared he might have also destroyed the antidote.
Soon another half an hour had passed, and whether it was Punk, who wanted to destroy the antidote, or Kang Kai and Bahanger, who wanted to find it, both parties realized that it would be impossible to find the antidote in this vast ruin.
Bahanger's "Burst-Jump-Strike" completely collapsed the underground perfume factory. And hundreds of workers, thousands of "plague perfumes," and tons upon tuns of soil and stone fragments were now all mixed together. And as there was also Bahanger's official-level battle qi present in that mixture, Punk, even after using prophecy spells, couldn't find any trace of the antidote.
The only thing that could be regarded as a gain was the confirmation of the news that Ti Xiaer church used perfume as the means to spread the plague. After the message was sent back to Dolez city, the Ti Xiaer church could finally be declared an evil cult, and ordinary people would be forbidden from joining it.
Looking at the obvious "Crime tools" on the ground and the bottles of semi-finished "plague perfume," Kang Kai felt extremely sad. He still couldn't believe that the Ti Xiaer church really dared to create and spread the plague. He had always thought that the young mage was exaggerating things.
As a kindhearted person, he really couldn't fathom how someone could be so unscrupulous in order to achieve their goals.
Bahanger was as indifferent as always. He didn't bother to care whether Ti Xiaer was spreading the plague or not. He only knew that Ti Xiaer had the antidote that he needed. And to keep his promise, he had to snatch it from her, that's it.
All in all, although Ti Xiaer was not found in the first target, but Kang Kai and Bahanger's determination to kill Ti Xiaer became stronger. This was, of course, Very advantageous for Punk.
Standing in the middle of the ruins that have been completely turned over, Punk looked at Casa, which had already traveled halfway, and then turned around and said to Kang Kai and Bahanger:
"Time is running out. If you want to stop Ti Xiaer from attacking the Dolez City, then we must let her see our threats. It's time to go to the next target."
"And we have to hurry up, as with every second of delay, one more innocent life will be lost."
Kang Kai added.
"I have nothing to say. I can't wait to strike my hammer."
Bahanger swung his hammer in the air to show his agreement.
Seeing that the two teammates had no objection, Punk nodded and once again blessed himself and No. 1 with swiftness spells.
Accompanied by an unsentimental departure, all three figures disappeared in an instant, leaving only a mess of flesh and blood on the originally ordinary-looking farmhouse.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
