"Creak! Creak!"
There was a small animal with a circle of pale cyan scales and pink skin in Punk's hand. With a bunch of pink bouquets on top of its head, this tiny monster was like a fat-headed fish with frog legs. Its crying was also very strange. The little thing was originally a predator hiding in the mud, only showing the pink petal-like tentacles on its head to lure its prey, but this one in Punk's hand was obviously very unlucky. When Punk was a little entangled in his choices, habitually, he wanted to find a small flower and pull out its petals, and this little monster unluckily served as a substitute for the flower. Actually, when Punk grabbed a grass flower but pulled out such a weird thing, he was astonished.
However, his astonishment and the weirdness of this thing didn't prevent him from plucking its petals like a real flower as he was in an irritable mode. So... this unlucky little monster who appeared in the wrong place at the wrong time could only cry in pain!
Punk pulled off the tentacles like petals on the little monster's head from time to time while boringly revised the information and spells in his mind, especially those whom he received as the night raid's reward from McNeesey. Because in Punk's heart, there was a faint hunch that these spells would come in handy very soon.
The little monster was still constantly screaming and struggling desperately, but Punk completely ignored it!
However, Punk's thinking was soon interrupted. After all, he was escaping a disaster, not touring in this muddy forest, and, as once some wise man said, 'disaster is always unexpected and sudden.' Whether it was natural disasters or man-made disasters, both were the same.
Just as the night was approaching, with most of the brilliance of Casa slowly sinking into the horizon, a huge fireball flew towards Punk's group like a flowerpot falling from the balcony, abruptly and unexpectedly.
Accompanied by a soldier's loud roar: "Enemy attack!" a group of professionals from Prince William's camp appeared in the distance. Their number was not many, only a fraction of the Princess's Guard, but the enemy fired several extremely conspicuous flares, which was obviously to notify the other nearby teams to support them. Meanwhile, this team rushed toward the princess's group with a crazed look on their face.

Punk speculated that Lunka should have issued a very strict death order to these pursuing teams, which caused this group of professionals to rush desperately at them despite their low numbers. Although they knew they would suffer heavy losses, they still wanted to stall the Princess's Guards here until other search teams arrived; after that, it would be very easy to encircle and suppress the princess's group.
In fact, Punk was not very surprised by this sudden situation. It was a real capture and escape, not a strategic retreat like that of some novels, where not only the protagonist had the free time to search for treasures but also drink with beauties, that's not a big escape, that's a traveling adventure!
However, in a rapidly changing battlefield, there would always be many things that would go beyond one's expectations.
Punk casted a prophecy spell with his fastest speed. His purpose was not to detect the enemy's strength, but he wanted to know the actual number of enemies who were deployed to their capture mission. This was more important than defeating the current group as they didn't have enough numbers In order to pose a significant threat to the entire evacuation team, the main force that would rush over would be the biggest trouble.
"Damn it, is Lunka gone crazy? Does he not care about Konola?"
When Punk sensed the information obtained by the prophecy spell, his calm heart couldn't help but waver- Commender Lunka actually sent all of the professionals out! This meant that he has completely given up the whole of Konola city's spoils and abandoned all of his army of ordinary people in Konola city. These ordinary soldiers' fate could be imagined when the furious professionals of Konola figured out that all the enemy professionals were absent. And all of these sacrifices were only to prevent Princess Nesa from escaping to Dylan kingdom!
"Why they chasing Princess Nesa like lunatics! Did she steal some magical artifact or something?"

Punks had already unintentionally complained. How should one feel if one chose a path thinking that they could quietly achieve their goal but then found out that this path was the most troublesome and to move forward in this path, they had to fight a bloody war.
"If this was a novel, then the author could be regarded as abusive."
But no matter how much he complained in his mind, Punk still had to prepare for the fight. As one of the only two Mages in this group, it was necessary to take on the task of crowd control, especially in this situation where they must finish this fight quickly.
So now Punk was wondering about what spell would work best in a place filled with mud!
While Punk was thinking about this, several attacks of apprentice-level archers hit him, but all the arrows bounced back after colliding with his Mage Armor. Then he went to the center of the group and started to chant a spell unhurriedly. What he was reciting was a relatively unpopular but very mana consuming spell, called- 'surging tide.'
Punk didn't rush while casting the spell this time, as there were a large number of meat shields, who would dutifully resist all attacks that tried to interrupt his casting, so he calmly took out a small piece of bluestone from the pocket of his robe which was a material for the "surging tide," and injected a large amount of mana into the spell model in his mind palace. Finally, after Punk's spell gestures were completed, this spell appeared in reality without any obstruction or waste. In order to let this unfamiliar spell be released with its greatest power, Punk had used almost all strengthening methods that could be used!
After chanting for a full three seconds, Punk suddenly opened his eyes, shining with azure blue light, and a white-blue ribbon-like energy wave flew up from his hands and converged into a ball.
The surrounding air started to twist and rotate around the energy ball, and created a mini-tornado that blew Punk robe. The small amount of energy that was dissipating from his hand was like colorful butterflies flying away. Under the outline of the afterglow of the sun, Casa, Punk guarded by several warriors of all colors of battle qi, looked as dazzling as an immortal emperor watching the world with disdain!
Princess Nesa, who had never noticed Punk before, was even more fascinated by Punk's heroic appearance. Like a typical young girl with the dream of a prince on a white horse, little stars started to appear in her eyes; she even forgot for a while that she was on a crisis-ridden battlefield. And at this time, only Punk's well-proportioned face, which was very attractive and handsome even when most of it was covered by the hood, was left in her eyes, and Punk's eyes glowing with blue light in the shadow of the hood added a sense of mystery that completely enchanted the princess's young heart.
The young princess, who sneered at the "love at first sight" in the knight novels before, now felt in her heart that the so-called "love at first sight" maybe... it really existed...
……
Punk, who was ready with the spell, didn't know that his unintentional showmanship had captured the heart of the young princess. But even if he knew it, he would only find it troublesome.
Now, his attention was completely focused on killing or disabling the enemy, and who noticed him was not within the scope of his consideration!
Just as the enemy tried to outflank them, Punk's eyes started to shine even brighter!
"An Opportunity!"

Steamforged Sorcery [A Steampunk LitRPG]
This is a fantasy story in a steampunk setting, not a sci-fi. The Great War ravaged the face of the earth many years ago. In the years that passed, the world rebuilt, mixing machinery and magic to form something new. Great blimps took to the sky, belching steam and smoke as metal cities sprouted like weeds below. Angel, a talented mage, scours the desert endlessly in search of lost knowledge. When it unexpectedly falls into his hands, he quickly comes to realize that the world is far larger – and far more deadly – than he ever could have predicted. But no amount of danger is going to keep Angel from seeking out greater strength and traveling the world, claiming all the greatest treasure that it has to offer. To most, the desert is a dangerous threat to be feared. To Angel, it’s a land of opportunity, waiting to be exploited. Steamforged Sorcery is, as the title suggests, a LitRPG Steampunk story with heavy focus on magic and scenery. The main character starts out relatively strong (but far from overpowered) but will eventually grow in strength to incredible levels. It is moderately paced and does not progress at ridiculous speeds. Release Schedule: 1,500 words daily Monday-Friday

8 75I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
