《Netheril’s Glory 》Chapter 13: victory.

The spell "minor damage" creates countless tiny but very sharp etheric energy blades, that vibrate at a high frequency at the molecular level, greatly enhancing their lethality. And when tens of thousands of such blades gather in a tiny area of about 70 cm in diameter, it outputs a massive amount of damage to the target. And this spell also uses elementary spatial techniques to achieve instantaneous transmission.
This Curse spell could only be intercepted by very few defensive methods such as spatial defence.
This kind of attack spell was very suitable to deal with an Ogre, who had a solid physical defence but didn't have the intellectual capability to defend against such a spell.
The Ogre had just taken three or four strides when the misty ball on Punk's hand had just disappeared. A small area around the Ogre's head suddenly became a little dark, like a shadow.
Although the spell lasted for a very short period of time, the Ogre had still taken the secondary "minor damage" without any kind of defence.
Felling something was wrong, the Ogre exhausted the last bit of its strength to throw the big wooden stick toward Punk.
The big wooden stick was whistling toward him at a very high speed. Along with its flight path, various plants and grasses were swept by the strong wind from its momentum.
When Punk noticed that the Ogre was about to throw the wooden stick, he did not hesitate to use the teleportation spell engraved in his magic robe.
After that, Punk only felt that something invisible covered everything around him. Then, all foreign materials present at his position, whether it was air or dust, along with him, had changed their location and reappeared in a different location, which was not very far from his original place. Punk was a little light-headed after the teleportation, but he recovered quickly because of his level 2 ranger physique.

However, even after avoiding the danger, Punk had no happy expression on his face. Because after missing its target, the wooden stick was heading directly toward the direction where the little donkey was.
On the other side, the Ogre took two more steps after being hit by the spell because of inertia and then fell to the ground. Its whole head was now like something that was pulled out from a meat grinder. The flesh on it was almost chopped into meat paste by thousands of energy blades. And the Ogre's head no longer had a recognizable shape.
The Ogre's body fell on the ground while mashed bloody flesh and white brain matters scattered onto the ground. Still, its fingers and limbs were twitching from time to time. Its muscles which inflated under the influence of its berserk state, also retracted to their original form.
Finally, Punk was sure that the Ogre was really dead, Because with such a deadly wound in the head, even if it had the vitality of a troll, it would die. And as for the soul of Ogre, it should have been engulfed by the long river of time.
When the Ogre stopped twitching, Punk turned around and walked towards the donkey. The Oger's body had some valuable loot-like magic-resistant skin. But Punk ignored these because, first, it was only apprentice-level magic material after refining, and second, Punk had no way to refine it in this wasteland. And if it hadn't been refined by magic solidification, the low-level Ogre skin's magical properties would dissipate very soon and become ordinary fragile leather before Punk comes out of this Westland.
Also, at this moment, Punk was more concerned about the little donkey's safety, which was their only transportations method. And he hoped that the worst has not happened.
At this moment, Kane also climbed out of the pit with a deformed shield in his hand. He first glanced at the Ogre, whose head now turned into a bloody puddle on the ground and a trace of fear quickly flashed in his eyes, and then he became carefree again.

"I say, brother Mage, do you have sadistic tendencies or something? Why would you make it so miserable, or do you want to try ogre soup at night for a change?"
As he was speaking, Kane also started to walk in the direction of the donkey.
But halfway to their destination, both stopped walking at the same time!
A huge stick was slanted on the ground, surrounded by scattered wood fragments and some bloodstains, which was everything that was left of the cart and the poor little donkey.
"It might not be that bad of a thing after all; at least I don't have to endure the disgusting smell of the walking dunghill until Konola city.".
Punk was unexpectedly feeling more fortunate than he was upset.
"………… noooo…. I fought so hard with that big mountain of meat that even my shield was broken. What was it all for?"
Kane lashed out, brandishing his battered, mangled shield.
"what are you talking about? Your shield is just fine! Isn't it?"
Punk teased Kane and then picked up the small bag filled with wheat bread from the scattered goods and started heading towards the Konola city.
"Damn it. It was not yours. So you don't care. Oh! My poor little donkey, I can still remember how cute it looked while shaking its ears with red hair!"
While pretentiously expressing sadness about the donkey's death, Kane carried a large bag of dried meat on his shoulders.
"Those cute red hairs of your little donkey is definitely mixed with the puddle over there,"
Punk pointed to the blood-red meat paste mixed with mud beside the wooden stick.
"But it seems like you're too hungry right now! you should eat something first, then speak these useless words."
After saying that, Punk started walking without even looking back.
"This is called sympathy and sentiment. Someone like you with no emotion will never be able to get a girlfriend in the future..."
Kane traped the shield on his back again, then picked up the lance on his shoulder and chased after Punk.
……
At this time, the bigger red sun "Casa" had already leapt out of the horizon, and the whole wasteland had been fully illuminated. The plants grew very fast in tender season, so the area destroyed by the battle would become normal very soon, and the flesh and blood that were scattered everywhere would decompose and become the nourishment for the new plants.
…………….
After seven days of journey, Punk and Kane finally arrived at their destination, Konola city. Fortunately, they did not encounter " the undead forest" that the Baron warned about.
And also, they did not encounter the Baron's merchant friend.
But for some reason, Punk had a hunch that—— This wasteland and the forest of the dead, which he was not even sure if it existed, would meet again in the future.
……
"Oh~~~ Konola City~~~, this father is finally here."
Kane loudly shouted while standing on top of a small hill, from where he could see the high wall of Konola City. He looked just like a young knight with a majestic dream, but if those who abide by the "knight's code" listen to the second half of his sentence, they would definitely beat him up.
"Pretty ladies, Just wait for this handsome Kane to save you. Ha- ha- ha- ha".
Punk walked down the mountain with an "I don't know this guy" expression.
"Konola City, hah, I hope I can gain some useful information...!" Unconsciously, Punk's eyes once again started to glow with a blue brilliance.
