《Be happy with sports 》Chapter 3: The accident

As Jake was pushing his wheelchair on the way home he was thinking of some plans to do for the rest of the year.
He had already decided that he would try to learn the Japanese language until his holidays that were at the end of the year, this was a more challenging language than the others until he learned to speak he was confident, he could learn to write and read the language he was the challenge for Jake.
All the language that Jake learned at least read a little he could get before he started learning, but that was different, he could never recognize any words because the traits were different.
Still, he was quite anxious to visit the country of Japan at the end of the year that would be his reward, in addition to the Japanese culture that Jake liked a lot, he was quite interested in cooking, Jake as he liked to cook often did dishes typical of Japan.
Plus he heard in some places that a sushi master was getting better depending on how old he was at all, Jake was someone who did a little bit of everything, so he could not imagine what it would be like to do just one dish for dozens of years.
This year, moreover, he was very interested in the stock market, by his observations Jake had realized that between that year or the next the American economy would undergo a great change, he just had to observe what advantage he could get from it.
After all not everything that happens is bad for everyone, even a crisis if observed from a different point of view could be seen as a great opportunity for some.
Another thing he was thinking about was the company he worked for, although Jake did not have close friends, he liked a lot of peers, they were good people themselves, the problem was that Jake could see the quill in his eyes as he looked at him, as Jake was a very discreet person no one knew that he was a person of many talents and also that he had gotten rich these past few years.
Jake also did not want others to know this, because although not all people were interested he was sure that some would appear, it could even happen to appear a woman who wanted to marry him despite Jake being impotent only because of the comfort that Jake can provide.

Jake does not judge other people who buy affection from others with money, but he himself was not like that, the emptiness of being with someone you know does not really matter to you was something Jake would not bear.
Jake was not the type to get deeply involved in things without having feelings for other people, both in friendship and in relationships, even when he was popular at school he did not have many girlfriends when he saw that the women he was leaving had truly gotten involved with him. Jake separated.
More maybe from now on, it had to be different, Jake knew from some rumors that some directors who had already been fired had made a big mistake that caused a big debt for the company, and that maybe the company was going to have to close.
Jake was a very emotional person, so he did not want the company to close and his co-workers for so many years were fired, so he was thinking of telling the owner of the company that he wanted to be the partner of the company so he would not let her close.
After all, he had a lot of money and nothing he wanted to spend, at least he would keep his mind at ease, Jake had already thought that if one day the restaurant that his mother worked was to close he would also buy.
So after thinking about the things he had to do in the future, Jake thought back to the past, this was a day when Jake was very homesick, he always found himself thinking about things.
Jake was thinking now what he would do differently in his life, there were many things that Jake regretted not having done in the past.
And the ten biggest things were always related to his mother, even though Jake was not a troublesome child and teenager, he still admitted that he was not a good son, he just did not give his mother any more trouble, he did not help Eva at all.
He today after having more experience in life and look at the past realized several things he did not notice when he was a child, for example, although Jake loved his mother a lot he did not tell her.

Or the time she was sad and depressed Jake today could realize several situations that she was bad but he did not realize, not because his mother hid so well but because he did not pay much attention to her.
Because he was so distant and childish that her mother might think she could not trust him, so instead of venting all her emotions in her heart she suffered in silence.
When she came home tired from work she still had to do more things from home for Jake, and although she was stressed Jake knew she put her son on top of her, so she did not go out when she could, just when Jake was going with her, so he could go out with her more.
Many things Jake had not noticed before, but those little things could have saved his mother's life.
As he continued to push his wheelchair home, he went down a different path than the one on Main Street, going down the sidewalk.
Jake always tried to go through paths that did not have many cars, he was still a little afraid of going through a highway that had dozens of vehicles.
As he continued to think of his things, full of hope for a new day coming to him, a car appeared out of nowhere on the deserted street and came at high speed toward Jake.
When Jake realized that something was wrong it was too late to do anything, the car hit Jake's wheelchair in the middle and sent him flying in an empty shop before hitting a post.
When Jake recovered from the crash hit he was already stretched out on the floor of the shop that had now been somewhat destroyed, he was leaning against a wall that was now a little broken because Jake hit her with his body at high speed.
Jake looked around the store and saw his wheelchair totally broken in a corner of the store by the impact of the car, and when he looked around himself Jake saw a large pool of blood where he was fallen.
Jake tried to move his body but did not feel anything else, not even pain, it seemed that his body was numb by lack of blood or something worse, Jake even thought it incredible that he did not die at the time of impact when he saw the car crumpled in the post now fallen.
It seemed that bad luck had chosen Jake again today, he himself did not believe in his bad luck, now that his life was getting in the way, moreover, how many people there were who had bad luck to suffer a big car accident so in the life.
After looking down the empty street for a while Jake realized that there was no one at that time, he could not move his body and his cell phone should already be broken after this accident.
So no one would call the police or the ambulance for a good period of time, it seems that choosing to always go through a deserted street to get away from the cars went wrong today.
It seemed that Jake was destined to die today, but it was a bad day to die with his birthday, he had accepted his death already.
After all Jake had no relatives or anything that would suffer from his death, and he was already a little tired of this life, he felt like a boxer and life was a professional, whenever he got up, he knocked him down again.
Now he felt that he no longer had the strength to recover from yet another accident, but he did not resent his fate, he believed that they all went through the same thing someday.
He just felt a little sad for his bad luck, plus he had no regrets, that was a form of release for Jake as well.
So while staring at the ground with empty eyes, the pool of blood was rising as he thought, it began to feel a chill in his body.
"More can I say that I was really happy with my life?"
That was the thought that Jake had, even though he had accepted death and always tries to be positive while living, would he have to be positive and just try to see the good side even in death?

Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
