However, as soon as the light entered his body, he noticed his increase of strength and was unable to believe it.

Terug needed to use his full strength to surpass his shock and ask.

He had just advanced towards Tier 8, so he didn't expect to advance again for at least a million years, but he ended up advancing on the same day.
