《Glory e-sports》Chapter 198: Captain, will you feel aggrieved like this?

Asleep’s brain was filled with the scene of Wei Xiao sacrificing himself to protect Bai Cai at the end.
Wei Xiao wasn’t FTW’s captain, and he was also a new player who’d only joined this season. Even so, he’d become the pillar of the whole team.
He clearly had strength that was stronger than anyone else’s, and it was clear that his jungler was strong enough to support the whole team as its core, and it was clear that he would lead the team to victory by playing out all his strengths, but…
He chose his teammates.
He’d shouldered this responsibility and lived up to it.
Real growth was to come out of one’s own comfort zone.
Asleep turned around––he finally saw the people around him and finally took the initiative to look at his teammates.
Cong Yi immediately said, “What are you talking about, you…”
Asleep was right next to him. He took off his headset and hugged him.
Cong Yi: “!”
Asleep’s voice was light, “It’s been hard on you.”
Cong Yi, who’d always been more mature than their peers, who’d taken care of everyone around him like a big brother, who had quietly been taking on this responsibility, was only 18 years old.
Who would’ve thought that he was only a little bit older than Asleep?
Who remembered that he was only a half grown youth?
Cong Yi’s voice choked in his throat, and he couldn’t say a word.
Xuan Long, Wen Wei, and Li Chun all came over and hugged the two of them between them.
They’d lost the game, lost this season, but there was still a ray of light shining on them.
This was a light that broke through the closed off self and brought light to feelings of alienation and indifference as it turned the heart into a rope whose goal was Glory.
The camera focused on 3U, and the five players in a group hug was a scene that burned itself into the hearts of the audience.
Fans shouted out the names of the players they loved, encouraging and motivating them as they looked forward to their new future!
The two teams shook hands and said goodbye. When Asleep arrived in front of Wei Xiao, Wei Xiao held his hand, then pulled Asleep towards himself.
Asleep was stunned.
Wei Xiao gave him a brief hug. “You can do it.”
The rims of Asleep’s eyes that were already red became even more swollen.
Wei Xiao continued, “See you in the doubles.”
Asleep: “!”
The game was over. As one of the top domestic competitions for the season, there was no way they would skip the post-game interviews.
Because of Yue Wenle’s excellent performance over two consecutive games, FTW’s MVP was given to Yue Potato Chips.
Chen Feng: “Go and do the interview.”
Yue Wenle: “……”
Wei Xiao plucked the chips from his hand. “If you don’t go, I’ll go?”
Only Wei Xiao would do such a thing. If anyone else tried to snatch away the potato chips from God Le’s hands, it would be the same as taking away his bow and arrow in the game and would lead to real life PK.
Yue Wenle: “Oh.”
Wei Xiao was really sour and jealous. “I’m not there for the trash talk and not there for the interview. How about I change my name?”
Even Brother Cai was too lazy to pay attention to the words that came out of his mouth. However…
Lu Feng cooperated with him. “Change it to what?”
Wei Xiao: “Well-behaved and quiet little cutie?”

Lu Feng laughed briefly.
The whole room of people: “…………”
Where’s your dignity, big brother!
Also, great demon king, you can’t indulge him like this; his tail’s going to fly up all the way up to the heavens!
Yue Wenle went to the interview table.
Comrade Old Yue had a quiet character. He didn’t speak much normally; if he had the time, wasn’t it more fun playing games?
Of course, that didn’t mean that he was unaccustomed to interviews. In fact, he was quite good at them.
The host asked a few irrelevant questions, and Yue Wenle’s answers left no room for criticism.
Then, the host started to make trouble. “God Le performed really well today and took the MVP for the semi-finals.”
This was obviously a trick question. A more inexperienced contestant might fall for it, but Yue Wenle was very stable. His appearance was as pale as ever, and his tone was easy, “It’s not that I performed well.”
The host: “Oh?”
Yue Wenle: “My teammates gave me great opportunities. The captain’s Deep Sea Domain was the perfect start to the fight, Quiet sacrificed himself to protect brother Cai, and Little Ning’s ranged damage lowered the other side’s health. Of course, there was also Brother Cai’s…”
He paused, and the host immediately picked up on it, “What about Brother Cai?”
Yue Wenle answered, “Brother Cai was very stable as an accessory.” The apocalypse priest was also known as the apocalypse accessory and was infamous as a talent that waited to be carried to victory.
The audience burst out laughing.
In the backstage lounge, the corner of Bai Cai’s lips twitched. “Get lost!”
He might be cursing, but the rims of Brother Cai’s eyes still grew red.
That last wave of group fighting had touched him greatly. He’d gotten used to being a zen support player, and Bai Cai himself had a personality that didn’t strive for much. So, he’d always just done his part and left the rest up to fate, sacrificing himself and relying on his teammates.
But in that game just now, he’d really felt panic when Wei Xiao fell.
To put it more emotionally, to him, Wei Xiao was like a god of war.
Regardless of whether it was two years ago or two years later, or even today.
Bai Cai was used to supporting Wei Xiao, used to watching Wei Xiao perform all over the arena, and even more used to Wei Xiao leading them to win.
When this person, who was like a pillar to him, toppled, Bai Cai’s brain had flashed with a sense of loss.
The person who took responsibility was gone, their core had fallen. What could he do as a support player?
Then, Wei Xiao told him, “It’s up to you guys now.”
Up to him?
Up to him?!!!
Bai Cai didn’t know what he’d done in that last wave. Of course, subjectively speaking, he hadn’t needed to do anything at all. Once he opened the Book of Revelations, he just had to escort Yue Wenle to the end, and it was all done.
But it felt different. For the first time, he felt the sense of responsibility that came with being entrusted with a task and being relied on––
The fact that the responsibility of bringing the team to victory had one day fallen upon his shoulders.
It turned out that he had the power to determine whether their team won or lost.
It turned out that winning this semi-final really had something to do with him, Bai Cai!
Bai Cai finally experienced an unprecedented feeling of hot, burning passion.

Wei Xiao: “What are you crying for?” He tilted his head to look at him.
Brother Cai: “Laozi’s happy crying!”
Wei Xiao grinned. “Feels great?”
Bai Cai: “Get lost!”
It really felt great.
Deep and incisive, leaving no regrets behind. It was the kind of great that left goosebumps all over his body.
It was just, why did these words sound so poisonous coming out of Wei Xiao’s mouth?!
After winning the semi-finals, they naturally had to have a celebration.
Xiang Liu had already made arrangements a long time ago.
Wei Xiao was curious. “Brother Liu, what if we lost…”
Xiang Liu: “Bah, bah, bah, don’t say unlucky things.”
Lu Feng: “We’d still have to eat if we lost.”
Xiang Liu: “………….” Alright then, boss, whatever you say is correct.
After the semi-finals came the finals. It was impossible for the cubs to be allowed to drink, but holding a hot pot dinner and letting loose a bit wasn’t much of a problem.
They were able to hold steady in the venue, and they were relatively quiet in the car, but by the time they had gotten around to the food stage of the evening, the happiness of this group of half-grown brats started heating up the atmosphere.
Ning Zhehan: “We won???”
Brother Cai bonked him on the head. “What do you think.”
Little Ning: “We’re in the finals?”
Brother Cai: “Nonsense!”
Ning Zhehan, who’d never experienced such a big scene, was flushed red. “I made it to the finals in my first season?!”
Wei Xiao joined in on the conversation as he waited for his captain to feed him. “Calm down, wait until we win the world championship in your first season before getting excited.”
Ning Zhehan: “!”
Xiang Liu’s heart leapt. “About that, let’s not talk big…”
Lu Feng: “That’s right.”
Xiang Liu: “………………………………”
Brother Liu stuffed his own mouth with a big bite of Australian lobster. Forget it, forget it, it was better to say less and eat more. Otherwise, he wouldn’t even know how he got kicked out!
After a round of eating and excitement, they went back to the base. Chen Feng waved his hands. “Go to sleep early. We’ll go over the game replay tomorrow.”
Brother Cai had already recovered, and his laziness crept up again. “Don’t we get a day to rest…”
Chen Feng: “Ha, ha.”
Bai Cai: “Like hell we’re resting, Little Ning. We just took down the semi-finals and you’re already thinking of how to laze off!”
Granny Gray, who was a little stuffed from all the eating: “???”
Wei Xiao scolded Bai Cai. “Be a little less shameless, Brother Cai.”
Bai Cai: “I’d respect those words if they came from anyone else except you!”
Wei Xiao: “Fine, fine, fine, I’ll stop. I’m handing Brother Soy over to you.”
Bai Cai: “……”
Wei Xiao gave Soybean a kiss, then told it, “Go play with your uncle. He’s still full of energy.”
Soybean: “┗|`O′|┛Ao~~~”
Bai Cai cowered. “Holy shit, Little Lunatic Wei, act like a person. It’s already midnight. To hell with playing!”
Brother Soy only understood its father’s words and had already started bumping its head against the white cabbage.
The dark circles under Caicai’s eyes the next day were shocking. If someone took a photo of it and posted it up on the Gossip Emperor’s Weibo, then it was likely that the fans would think that the little wife had been XXOO and OOXX’ed!
Wei Xiao looked at Lu Feng, acting very reserved in front of the crowd of people. “Captain, do you have anything else to do later?”
Lu Feng: “No.”
Wei Xiao’s eyes were shining. “Solo?”
Lu Feng: “……”
Wei Xiao: “You said it before, if we win the semi-finals, I…”
Lu Feng: “… Alright.”
The two of them went upstairs, and Little Ning, who didn’t know anything, sighed emotionally, “Brother Xiao’s really too diligent. We just won a game, and he still wants to solo. He’s so diligent and hard-working, I want to learn from him!”
Looking at this enthusiastic Ning Zhehan, Chen Feng and Brother Cai, who both knew the truth, couldn’t bear to watch on.
Who the hell knew if they were soloing in Glory or soloing in bed?!
Like hell you want to learn that!
Coach Chen and the white cabbage had really overthought things.
Wei Xiao just asked for a kiss, the type that made him blush and his heart race as his limbs went numb and he wanted to mmm ahhhh.
Lu Feng released him. “Go take a bath.”
Wei Xiao looked at him. “After cleaning up, can we…”
Lu Feng poked the tip of his nose. “No.”
Wei Xiao was chagrined. “There’s still so many days left before the finals.”
Lu Feng’s mouth curved briefly, and he leaned over to whisper in his ear.
Wei Xiao: “!”
The Wei Little Xiao who was blushing like a little lobster was finally coaxed into the bathtub. He blinked after he sank into the water: No way, no way, it was too deadly when the high and aloof great demon king spoke words of love!
After he washed himself clean and came outside, Lu Feng had also finished bathing.
Wei Xiao pounced over and kissed him.
Lu Feng pecked him briefly on the lips. “Sleep.”
Wei Xiao actually acted obedient and buried himself in his arms, sticking against him like a gummy candy.
In fact, Lu Feng found it most difficult to hold back when he was like this. The hand that was around his waist tightened unconsciously.
Wei Xiao’s heated breath hit his neck. “Captain.”
Lu Feng: “Hm?”
He’d originally thought that Wei Xiao would start making trouble again, but unexpectedly, he whispered quietly, “Will you feel aggrieved like this?”
Lu Feng was stunned for a moment.
Wei Xiao didn’t lift up his head and just rubbed against him in his arms. “In the past, you were the most brilliant player in the canyon, getting the MVP in every game. Everyone’s attention was on you, but now you’ve become a foil.”
The youth’s soft voice rang out in the slightly empty room, warming Lu Feng’s chest.
Lu Feng laughed quietly and said sincerely, “This is what I want.”
Wei Xiao lifted his head up abruptly, his bright eyes like a light rising up into the night sky. “Really?”
Lu Feng pressed a kiss against his charming eyebrows. “Of course.”
Wei Xiao pulled him close by the collar and kissed him on the lips, “Not aggrieved?”
Lu Feng: “Not at all.”
Wei Xiao smiled again, the emotions in his eyes confident and proud. “You’ll shine again too.”
Lu Feng couldn’t shift his gaze away at all.
Wei Xiao continued, “When our teammates grow up, we’ll light up the Glory Canyon together.”
In the old FTW, only Close was as bright as a star.
In the current FTW, Close’s brilliance had gradually faded.
But the future FTW would be the brilliant glory of all five people!
Lu Feng’s heart beat very fast, and he ultimately couldn’t help himself. “Little Xiao.”
Wei Xiao: “Hm?”
Lu Feng flipped over and pressed him down, a heated kiss landing on his collarbone. “I won’t go in.”
Wei Xiao: “!”
The author has something to say:
A man’s mouth…
Cough, the captain isn’t lying!
Little Lunatic Wei says darkly: It’s better if it’s a lie.
xiin: translation – the captain really doesn’t go in…
but, oh man, WX’s heart, it’s so big~

Trench
/ Somwhere in the world of gesia where magic spells and the fire of guns are a daily commodity on the frontlines/ ZoOm..BoOm ZoOm..BoOm ZoOm..BoOM Fuck that one was close, I turn left looking for my squad mate in the trench, and immediately I turn away tears in my eyes, dead, definitely dead there is no way he survived that, one of the shrapnel shards of the artillery shell got him dead in the eye, I hear the sound of blood gushing, out like a water fountain but much more disturbing. I try to vomit but after we got separated from the supply line for more than 6 days after the attack of a squadron of dragons there wasn’t much left for me to eat, so the only thing that was coming out of my mouth was the sound of emptiness I want to go home...I want to see my family..I..I... ZoOm…BoOm I flinch, I could swear the Artillery shells are getting more precise after every second, I try to grab my gun without looking at the corpse of my squad mate, the moment my fingertips grace the cold steel of my weapon I feel something wet, I shudder knowing what it was. I close my eyes and stand up my hand around my gun, planning to never let it go. I try to rub the blood of my hands on my already dirty pants and after that i climb out and run faster than i ever did before... ...Ziiiiiip...splash.... / the Cover art belongs to the kikstarter campaign of Interbellum RPG /

Content Warning: This will depict substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and will likely become an ongoing list of content advisories. 8 142Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.
