《Glory e-sports》Chapter 168.2: Little Lunatic Wei, this can also happen to you someday!

In North America, the camera lens had locked onto Lu Feng since a long time ago. The lighting from the side left a light shadow on his face, making his skin pale and cold, and highlighting the edges and corners of his features.
There was no doubt that this was a face that was in line with everyone’s aesthetic. Handsome, heroic, and unsmiling.
But when he saw the words on the screen, the corner of his mouth curved up, his thin lips raising, and his cold eyebrows relaxing slightly, like a butterfly fluttering in the air in early spring, bringing with it a soft, cold breeze.
He replied to Wei Xiao: “Mm.”
His words had just landed when the shadow thief entered stealth. The chat bubble with the single syllable accompanied him and disappeared from the arena, leaving no traces behind.
“!!!”
So that’s how it could be done!
They’d only analyzed the competition system, only used their brains to imagine a ferocious siege, and unexpectedly forgotten that the great demon king’s best talent was the shadow thief who could use stealth!
Close snatching up Sky Island’s Heart wasn’t giving up the game, but rather that he had a well thought out plan to win the game beautifully.
The commentator immediately gave a skill analysis, “Although there’s no time limit for the shadow thief’s stealth, his figure will appear within three seconds of being too close to another player. It’s impossible for him to remain hidden for 300 seconds.”
The game designers understood their own talent designs better than anyone else.
The shadow thief wasn’t the only talent who could enter stealth. If a player could use stealth to hold Sky Island’s Heart and hide for five minutes, then there would be no game to play.
That was why the finals circle was so small. It was so small that stealth would be broken due to the distance between players.
Close also hadn’t intended to use stealth to hold on for 300 seconds.
He’d waited so long, but it wasn’t for the sake of hiding and dodging.
When the shadow thief approached a target, an exclamation mark would appear over their heads.
A golden exclamation mark flashed wildly over Kim Sung-hyun’s head, causing goose bumps to appear all over his body. “Damn it!”
He slid back a step to pull away. The shadow thief must be attacking from behind, and he wouldn’t be the one to let Close…
A crimson blade flashed slightly, followed by a shadow attack. Kim Sung-hyun, who’d just landed again had run directly into an attack.
He sucked in a breath and saw the shadow thief standing behind him.
The red color on the crimson blade was brighter after it saw blood. Rend carried the effect of lowering defense, and the squishy hunter was most afraid of this effect.
Kim Sung-hyun didn’t have time to think about how Close could lock onto where he would step. He stepped on raindrops in a hurry and continued to pull away.
When a hunter was faced with a thief, kiting tactics were the best choice.

As long as he could pull away, then he could drag close combat talents to death even with basic attacks.
Unfortunately, Close had four talents and four classes.
The shadow thief used shadow attack, then his immortal warlock rushed over with connecting clouds, his cloud marks landing in a way that filled his opponent with apprehension.
Wei Xiao’s heart surged with excitement as he watched, “Captain is so strong!!!” Who said that written word couldn’t express the same thing as a voice? His exclamation marks came with sound effects.
Close built up thousand layers of clouds. Fortunately, Kim Sung-hyun had a moment of protection from fatal injury and was able to live on with only a sliver of health left.
Unfortunately, that didn’t mean that he could survive.
The immortal warlock switched to the storm hunter, raindrops morphing into arrows that shot straight at him. God Kim finally died at the hands of the talent he was best at.
System announcement: FTW.Close killed Pro.Succe.
All the major venues, oh, except for the one in the Korean competition zone, all burst out in amazed applause.
It was too wonderful. It had taken at most ten seconds, but this round of killing had been so excellent that it left everyone shivering and dizzy.
Switching freely between four talents, this new singles competition mode was the great demon king’s real home court!
Kim Sung-hyun toppled to the ground. Wei Xiao couldn’t remain calm. “It’s too exciting! I want to fight too!”
He switched to the shadow thief as he spoke and had just entered stealth when a light gate crashed down over his head from the sky.
Wei Xiao: “???”
He’d been hit by the light gate, and his stealth was broken. He stood there pitifully under the holy light.
Who could use a light gate?
There was only one holy priest in the whole challenge arena!
Yan Jiang said nothing. He just used his skills to tell Little Lunatic Wei: Like hell you’re fighting.
Wei Xiao was very angry, “Let me out!”
The light gate disappeared, and another control skill landed accurately on Wei Xiao’s head.
Wei Xiao: “………………”
The audience members who’d noticed what was happening in this small corner were laughing so hard they were squealing like pigs.
What did it mean when they said good and evil would be rewarded?
What did it mean when they said what goes around comes around?
What did it mean when they said Little Lunatic Wei, this can also happen to you someday!
Yan Jiang’s four talents added up to a total of eight control skills. Previously, everyone had already seen his precise control skills in the Central Zone, and Wei Xiao had made use of them to kill until enough blood flowed to form a river.
Now, the Swallowtail CP had no feelings left between them. God Yan’s control skills were all smashed onto Wei Xiao’s body.
swallowtail CP – 燕尾 Yan (燕) x Wei (尾) – the words just sound the same
Indeed, the God Yan who’d been ‘played’ had no way to kill this little beast.

But as long as he controlled him accurately, Wei Little Xiao wouldn’t even be able to think of moving today.
Close killed Kim Sung-hyun in an instant. By the time Yuan Ze and Xie He reacted, God Kim was already lying there on the ground.
Kim Sung-hyun: “… Am I the only soft persimmon?!”
Old Dog Yuan still had time to type, “You’re not.”
Kim Sung-hyun: “……”
Yuan Ze: “You’re a proud flower.”
As his voice dropped, his death knight summoned three hellhounds. He stepped on Proud Flower Kim’s body and charged towards the shadow thief.
It was 1v2, but Close didn’t panic at all. He landed a back stab on Xie He, then, when the immortal warlock’s cloud mark flew over, he immediately stepped on raindrops to pull away.
Yuan Ze simply couldn’t stop his skill at all. He bumped straight into Xie He, who was brushing up thousand layers of clouds.
Xie He: “……”
Yuan Ze: “F*ck!”
The two of them were fed full with the damage from each other’s attack.
Lu Feng summoned a phantom. One figure rushed to Xie He, and the other blocked Yuan Ze.
He used the blood warrior’s skill to create a 2v2 momentum.
Yuan Ze had a deep understanding of the blood warrior and knew that he was attempting to recover health from this attack. How could he let Close succeed? He instantly switched to the berserker warrior and cut down the phantom with bold and resolute.
Xie He didn’t fall behind. His spirit mage rolled and dodged to pull away, magic beams shooting directly at Close’s real body.
After the phantoms died, the blood warrior was stunned for a brief moment. Xie He’s grasp on timing was very accurate, and his magic beams gathered and stabbed, leaving Close with only one word, death.
Was the great demon king done for?
Was winning the game with a 1v3 nothing but a dream?
The magic beams hit!
Six magic beams coming together, no matter how high his defense was, no matter how much health he had, he would never be able to withstand this shocking, explosive damage.
Close was dead…
In the next second, the whole audience was shocked.
There was no resurrection armor in the big brawl, and dying was dying. There was no such thing as resurrection armor that would allow a player to stand back up and fight again.
However, Close, who had been hit with all the magic beams, was left almost unscathed.
The sharp eyed commentators noticed it. Brother Big Mouth’s voice was about to become hoarse from shouting, “It’s an invincible light shield!”
Everyone seemed to be waking up from a dream, “Holy shit, Close has the immortal warlock talent…”
At the last moment, the frozen Close had switched to the immortal warlock. At the same time, he’d sold a piece of equipment from his blood warrior and immediately exchanged it for the invincible light shield.
This was a piece of equipment that only mages could use. It’s effect was to grant one second of immunity to all damage.
This kind of operation wasn’t difficult. In 5v5 games, many professional players and even high-end players could easily switch to an invincible light shield in the last moment before their resurrection armor kicked in, but this was the big brawl…
There were four talents, and there was no two second gap before the resurrection armor kicked in.
Close had switched talents, sold and purchased equipment and used the invincible light shield in less than a second.
This hand speed…
Was it human?!
The commentator: “When the game is over, we can take a look at a direct shot of Close’s mouse actions.”
This shooting angle existed in the competitions, where the camera only captured operations of the players’ hands. It was for the sake of looking at their hand speed in such critical moments.
No matter how terrible this operation was, the result was that Close didn’t die, and the skills in Yuan Ze and Xie He’s four talents had all been used up.
The shadow thief entered stealth, approaching the immortal warlock and sending him back to heaven. Then, he used the shadow attack and special skill levitate to move to Yuan Ze in a flash.
Old Dog Yuan was worthy of once being the solo king. He used the gun warrior to move back, his long gun sweeping out with a shower of sparks to limit the shadow thief’s movement.
However, Close didn’t need to get any closer to him. Yuan Ze’s positioning had already put him within range of his nine light arcs.
Lights filled up most of the challenge arena, and Yuan Ze, who’d been forced into a corner, took damage from the full set of light arcs.
Yuan Ze: “……”
System announcement: FTW.Close killed L&P.Marshal.
Wei Little Xiao, who’d been controlled into seclusion, didn’t struggle anymore. He typed in a frenzy, “Close is amazing! Close is the most handsome! Close is number one in the world!”
When it came to cheering, even the hardcore Close fans in the scrolling comments weren’t as good as this little beast.
What was the highest level that fans could achieve?
Blowing rainbow farts in the challenge arena!
There were only three people left out of the original seven. The challenge arena wasn’t big, and it now seemed a little empty.
Yan Jiang released Wei Xiao.
Close looked over. “Fight?”
Yan Jiang: “Is there any point?”
Close: “There is. It wasn’t easy for him to bring you over to me.”
Yan Jiang: “……”
As a result?
As a result, Yan Jiang used up all his control skills on Wei Xiao, controlling him for a full 30 seconds.
Close used a thousand layers of clouds to send God Yan off-stage to rest.
System announcement: Close holds Sky Island’s Heart. Countdown: 180 seconds.
There were only two players left on the stage. They were from the same competition zone, the same team, and were the former and present jungler kings.
Close: “Solo?”
Wei Xiao: “Okay!”

But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
