《Glory e-sports》Chapter 161.2: The captain and I share the same heart and mind.

The background behind this game mode was very mysterious, but when it came to how it was played, the style was simple and rough––
Kill people, steal equipment, run around within the ring, and fight for first place.
The map had undergone a huge revision, and other mechanisms on the map had naturally also changed a lot.
The first change was the BP link. It didn’t exist in the big brawl mode.
Players could choose freely between all professions and talents. They could choose four initial talents and switch between them however they liked after entering the game.
In-game equipment and skills weren’t purchased through a store, but picked up everywhere on the map.
What a player picked up, what they used, and what effect they could play out all depended on the player’s own ability.
Regarding death, players could no longer resurrect––death meant that they were out of the game. It was simple and direct.
Killing opponents didn’t reward gold coins. Instead, they would drop their equipment and skills.
If the dropped equipment wasn’t suitable for the primary profession, then it could be directly traded for equipment of an equivalent value in the store.
It was the same with skills. If the skills didn’t match with the talent spec, then it could be replaced with another skill at the same level.
However, equipment and skills would only be replaced according to the professions and talents the players had selected prior to starting the game.
For example, if all the talents that a player selected was for the thief profession, then it was impossible to trade for mage skills and equipment in the store.
So, although there was no BP, players still needed time to choose their starting professions and talents.
The commentators naturally wouldn’t miss out on this part of the game. The cameras switched constantly to the players, and the commentators also analyzed each player’s choices.
Asleep and Moonlit were very direct. All four or their starting professions and talents were the ones they were good at.
Asleep’s talents were all from the thief profession.
Moonlit’s talents were all from the mage profession. It was clear that he planned to go in hard and fight until the end.
Eurostar-star deserved to be the spokesperson of the scrunched up crying face team. The cowering star lived up to his name.
He chose the agile storm hunter and the gold hunter that dealt explosive damage. As for the remaining two talents, he picked the holy priest and the light priest, practically writing ‘afraid of death’ on his own forehead.
It was actually a good mixture of talents.
The storm hunter was very flexible and well-suited for running away when they couldn’t beat the other side.

The gold hunter had two control skills and explosive damage. If he was able to survive until the late stage of the game, he could destroy the heavens and the earth.
The holy priest and light priest were both talents that Brother Cai was famous for. Needless to say, they were absolute milk daddies. If they just stood there and let others beat at them, they’d still be able to remain standing like a man for 20 seconds.
These three players belonged to the extremist camp, to varying degrees. Money and Fu Li were obviously more rational.
Money took two thief talents, then chose a warrior talent that could resist damage and fight. The last talent was a support type shaman.
Fu Li’s strategy was similar to his. He took three mage talents, including the agile spirit mage, the ice mage with strong control skills, and the fire mage that had high explosive damage. The last talent was a support priest.
The commentators said, “The two captains’ thoughts are relatively more stable. They can fight or retreat with talents that possess strong endurance. They’ve picked standard line-ups for brawl fighting.”
Li Chun nodded. “My line-up for the big brawl is similar to Captain Fu’s.” He was a mage as well.
Next up was the anchor, Tian Xi, and the lucky players.
Tian Xi’s strength was definitely not as good as that of the professional players, so he strove to be steady and chose three warrior talents and one support talent.
The lucky players took the talents they were familiar with, ones that were strong in the current version of the game.
The final focus was on Wei Xiao.
The commentators looked at his line-up, and their brains crashed.
Fortunately, they still had a level of professionalism and reacted quickly, “Quiet’s choices are very unique.”
Brother Cai, who was watching the live broadcast, sneered: That’s too polite, Brother Big Mouth, just say that he’s insane!
His style was very different from everyone else’s. Wei Xiao’s choices were super magical!
Generally speaking, players had their own profession specialties. For example, jungler, top-lane, mid-laner, and bottom lane…
Each specialty had their own advantages, so most players chose talents from a series of fixed professions.
Those who wanted to be more reckless went for all DPS talents, and the more rational ones would add a healer. Only Wei Xiao…
His first choice was the shadow thief.
Anwa: “This isn’t surprising. Quiet’s shadow thief is very excellent.”
His second choice was a blood warrior.
Anwa paused for a moment. “It turns out that Quiet’s also good with the blood warrior? It’s a pretty good choice, this talent has endurance.”

His third choice was the immortal warlock.
Anwa: “……”
Brother Big Mouth continued for her, “Will he lock it in? Or is Quiet just selecting it for everyone to first take a look?”
Wei Xiao locked it in.
Brother Big Mouth choked, then steadied himself. “Quiet is always able to bring us surprises. I wonder what talent he’ll choose for his remaining slot.”
Reasonably speaking, he should bring a support talent. Since he already had a top lane, mid-lane, and jungler talent, taking a support talent should be a steady choice.
Wei Xiao calmly selected the storm hunter.
Everyone at the scene: “…………………..”
Bai Cai rubbed his forehead: Wei Little Xiao, I’m begging you, stop messing around!
Was this a line-up that someone human would choose?
Is this a line-up that can win?!
Isn’t it crazy!
Shadow thief (jungler), blood warrior (top-lane), immortal warlock (mid-lane), storm hunter (bottom lane).
Fortunately, only four talents could be selected. If there were five slots, would it mean that Wei Xiao could form a team and play 5v5 by himself?!
The commentators were confused by his actions and said euphemistically, “These four talents are all very strong.”
What else could they say?
Let’s be honest!
These four talents really were strong. They were all talents that could fly up to the heavens when played well.
The shadow thief’s light arcs, the immortal warlock’s thousand layers of clouds, the storm hunter’s stepping on raindrops… they were all talents that had high upper limits for their extreme operations, and any one of them were real big daddies when they were taken out and used.
Wei Xiao took them all.
Taking them was one thing. The question was, could he actually use them?!
The scrolling comments in the live broadcast had already started making fun of him.
“It’s happening, it’s happening, Glory’s number one poser is online. Let’s watch and see how Quiet screws up and sheds poser tears.”
“Tsk. Does he really think that he’s an all-rounder king?”
“Q fans, come over and send yourselves to your death quickly. Your Q is acting up again.”
“When it comes to gimmicks, Quiet is definitely ranked first.”
“He’s just grandstanding. I bet my head that he’ll die as soon as he lands.”
His fans were also very flustered. “Cub, don’t panic! Your mentality can’t explode!”
“I know that the grandmaster is an all-rounder, but he’s now facing god level players from all over the world…”
“I’m afraid to watch…”
“The haters are to blame for this. Quiet’s just taking the blame for his brothers, but they insisted on taunting and jeering at him!”
So, the audience started fighting in the scrolling comments.
This matter was naturally related to Close’s heavenly group.
At the time, Wei Xiao had made a statement saying that the four accounts were all his, but nobody believed him.
The haters mocked him, saying that it was impossible for him to have four national server top ranked accounts, and flamed him for biting off more than he could chew.
Wei Xiao hadn’t explained anything at the time, but now he was talking with his actions.
Impossible for him to have four national server ranked accounts?
Biting off more than he could chew?
All-round fart king?
Come on then, he would let them see Laozi’s real strength!
Very soon, the trend of the scrolling comments took a sharp turn.
“Quickly go and watch the North American channel!”
“What?”
“Look at the Close’s initial talent choices!”
The fans switched over very quickly. Even the screen display in the China competition zone venue cut a small frame to show what was going on.
Close’s initial talent selection page. First choice: shadow thief; second choice: blood warrior; third choice: immortal warlock; fourth choice: storm hunter.
His choices were exactly the same as Wei Xiao’s!
Even the order of his selection was exactly the same!
The fans exploded. “Is this… did they agree on it?”
“Oh my, I’m shipping this!”
“No, wait… this… wait a minute…… ahhhhhh this is too much!”
They picked the same professions, the same talents. But even though they made the same choices, the audiences expressed completely different views.
Nobody would question Close.
Because this three-time consecutive solo champion had already told the whole world with his strength that he really was the all-rounder king.
The voices of those who scolded Wei Xiao faded slightly, and some people came out to provide rational analysis, “Honestly speaking, if he can play all four of these talents, then it’ll really be very strong.”
“Nine light arcs plus the thousand layers of clouds plus stepping on raindrops, then adding on the blood warrior’s high endurance… damn!”
It was a godly combination.
But it depended on whether or not he could execute these operations.
Finally, the 100 players were all transported to the Sky Island of Light.
When they landed, the audience could see each star player’s landing point from the god perspective map.
“The Team of Gods has been split into five zones.”
“Quiet and God Yan have run into each other. They’re both in A Zone!”
The author has something to say:
God Yan switches to healing and is all kinds of unconvinced.
Wei Little Xiao: Hm?
God Yan: ……

Ode to Freud
For those who do not understand the reference, "wish fulfillment" is before anything a term created by Sigmund Freud in the 1900's. In psychology it is a state of satisfying unconscious needs and desires by the use of fantasy and delusion. In literature it is the very base of fictional work, but also the name of a style of writing where the author sacrifices the key elements of good storytelling in order to fulfill his own psychopathic, neurotic or perverse needs and desires, usually through the use of the characters in weird and forced situations. What I meant by the title of this story is that it is a trashy, badly written, shitty story about me getting some wish fulfillment by the use of some characters and a fictional world of my creation. Not the good kind of fulfillment, since my wishes are of the bad kind and I intend to fulfill those, not yours. Also, being a total amateur and not writing a proper plot before starting are two big indicators that this story is going to go bad. I guess Royal Road call this kind of stories the "Mary Sue" kind. So, unless you are a very ugly piece of trash (at least as much as I am) don’t bother reading it. Now, if you ARE messed up on the level of a clinically depressive, lightly suicidal, lolicon/shotacon aligned morbidly obese hikikomori vermin who sold his virginity to a prostitute and is currently living at the costs of his widowed mother after expending all the money he got from his father’s inheritance, all the while masturbating furiously to beast/furry dickgirl hentai, then be welcomed. Please feel free to get a serving at my antidepressants and also at the canned tuna I have stored in the fridge. There may be some cheese somewhere, and I am pretty sure I bought some juice the other day, but I have no idea where it is. Anyway. You may dislike what I write because of all the amauteur(ish) writing, or you may not. Who knows. Give it a try and write a comment. It gets lonely writing to no one. Also, feel free to grant me inspiration not only by making comments about the world and/or characters, but specially by suggesting a music for me to listen while I write the next chapter. Be warned : I do get influenced easily by the background music I listen while writing. If you exist, of course. I'm seriously doubting anyone has read anything after the "lolicon hikikomori" thing. Also, I have a tiny dick.Just so you can feel better about yourself a little more. Or maybe I have just degraded psychologically a little more and now I am into shame-play. I wonder if the psychiatrist would increase my meds a bit if I told her about it.Hope I never get to penispanick, though! Self-mutilation, especially of the castration type, would be baaaad. After all, I do like my prostitutes. And having sex with them when I can afford it. Oh, yeah, the story. I will just write the first chapter in a few moments.Until later, b(i)each.
