Once Li Juan got discharged from the hospital, Lee Tae Yang took a day-off to sleep in and ward off the ominous thoughts that lingered in his mind.

The last week was emotionally and physically torturous for him. Though he shut his ears to other's words, he couldn't completely ignore the truth hidden inside it.

Li Juan's existence has begun to create changes in his life.

In order to avoid probing more into Li Juan's past, he slept like a log until noon. If Li Juan who came to return his books and study materials hasn't wakened him, he would have slept till evening.

"Do you want to sleep more or will you wake up and eat something?" Li Juan sat on his bed and gently brushed his unkempt hair. The dog-tired version of Lee Tae Yang who snuggled on to the pillow, reminded her of Yasook when she took the little pup home.

"I want to curl up and cuddle with you," Lee Tae Yang revealed his mind and gazed at her with an alluring smile, "Can I do that?"

"This is how you spend your weekends, Dr Lee?"

"No, but I am planning to spend today like this," He repositioned himself and placed his head on her lap wrapping his arms around her slim waist.

"Get up, take a shower, eat something and we can cuddle as much you want," She caressed his rough cheeks filled with stubbles,

"Really?" His groggy voice immediately brightened upon hearing her words,

"Yes," She assured and pressed her lips on his forehead, "Did you smoke?"

Lee Tae Yang immediately pursed his lips and tried to avoid her scrutinizing eyes,

He wasn't an ardent smoker, but whenever he has a muddled mind, he often smokes to ease his thoughts.

Li Juan lowered her face, smelling him and all of sudden her olfactory senses were attacked with his intoxicating scent mixed with a faint smell of tobacco.

"Go and take a shower," Li Juan pushed him away with a pouted face, before walking away from him.

When Lee Tae Yang came back after the shower, the bed sheets on his bed have been changed, the mess that has been piled up in the room has cleared and the aroma of boiled rice was lingering in the atmosphere,

He walked downstairs while drying his wet hair and found Li Juan busy preparing food for him.

He gently strode towards the kitchen and enveloped her in his arms,

"You should have waited for me," Lee Tae Yang whispered and gently bit the shell of her ears

"To cook rice?" She chuckled and touched his head resting on the nook of her shoulders, "Be a good boy and sit down,"

"No, you, be a good girl and sit back," He lifted her up from the ground and made her sit on the kitchen slab, "Watch me cook,"

He swiftly pulled the sleeves of his sweatshirt and stir the soup on the stove,

Li Juan's line of sight following his actions with a pair of devoted eyes,

Lee Tae Yang gave her a sidelong glance, trying hard to hide his shyness. Even after dating for three months, he was still not immune to her piercing gaze which ignited his inner desires.

"Do you know something? Even if you try hard, your ears betray you," Li Juan let out a low chuckle, "it is glowing red,"

"What are we doing here, Xiao Li?" He asked with a sly smile. He clearly knew the underlying emotions behind her casual actions.

"Aren't we cooking?" She innocently asked,

He gasped and started to pick the bowls to serve the side-dishes. Li Juan tried to slide down from the kitchen slab,

"No...no..you go and sit there, I will do it," He refused her help and brought the dishes to the table. However, Li Juan followed him like a puppy.

"What do you normally do on a weekend?" She asked while feeding him a piece of tofu,

"Do you want to go outside?" Lee Tae Yang asked,

"No, tell me, what do you do?"

"Sleep, house chores, maybe I will go out in the evening, otherwise I will sleep again," He casually said,

"Then let's do that. You don't have to change your routine for me,"

"No, it is alright,"

Li Juan placed her chopsticks on the plate and stared at him with a serious face.

"It is not alright for me, you always do things according to my wishes and needs," She reached out for his palms, "You don't have to please me,"

"Xiao Li," His charming face had a perplexed look,

"Your needs and wishes are not secondary to mine," She smiled warmly,

He squeezed the slender palm which covered his arm with moist eyes.

After their meal, both of them sat down on the couch for a movie. However halfway across the movie, Lee Tae Yang fell asleep while holding her slender body. Li Juan gently stroked his hair and immersed her face on to his chest,

His gentle heartbeats lingering in her ears, his warmth and soothing scent fondling her senses,

She was resting on her man's arms, yet Li Juan's heart plummeted into despair.

When she saw him in the ICU for the first time, she never expected that their relationship will grow to a level where both of them will become dependent on each other.

In a short period of time, both of them became each other's family and like everyone else, Li Juan also started to dream about a life with the man she loves.

She was sure that her mother will not dislike a perfect man like Lee Tae Yang, that's why she bravely took him to meet her mother.

However, her dreams were crushed and broken like a crystal bowl, when she accidentally overheard the conversation with her mother and Lee Tae Yang.

When she heard the painful truth from Li Qin, she felt like her sky crumbled down before her eyes.

She is born with a deadly curse. It was her curse that killed her father and Lee Tae Yang's parents.

Her existence itself was evil and ruined everyone's life who stood with her.

Because of her continuous accidents and troubled life, her mother never had a moment of peace. While everyone else was happily living with their family, her mother was struggling to meet the two ends of their life.

If a person like Li Juan didn't exist in her life, Li Qin could be able to live a peaceful life.

Her mother clearly knew that she gave birth to a monster and yet, out of her affection and love, Li Qin never abandoned her child. She even advised Lee Tae Yang to stay away from Li Juan and lead a peaceful life.

But he refused to listen to her quoting that he has promised Li Juan that he will never abandon her.

His persistent nature and stubbornness pushed Li Juan into the depths of despair. It took her an immense amount of courage to fake happiness in front of him after knowing the truth that she was the reason for the death of his parents.

Just like her mother, Lee Tae Yang also chose the path to his death, by staying with Li Juan.

While she was in the hospital, she heard others whispering behind her back about the misfortune brought by Dr Lee's girlfriend.

Her mother's words finally became true, she was evil and there is nothing good will happen to those people who accompany her.

Lee Tae Yang repeated that he won't stay away from Li Juan, but..but she can stay away from him.

She should stay away from him, for the sake of his bright future, for the sake of his family.

She will break up with him...she must break up with him and let him live a life without her.

She already made her decision,

This will be the last day of their relationship.

After an hour, Lee Tae Yang woke from his sleep, he glanced at the girl who was asleep in his arms. Beside her, their little puppy was dozing off, snuggling on to the warmth of his favourite humans.

The scene itself was heartwarming.

"Xiao Li, wake up," He tried to wake her from the nap by showering her with kisses all over her beautiful face, "Xiao Li,"

Lee Tae Yang tilted his head and pressed his lips on her swan neck, gently biting down there,

Li Juan slowly opened her eyes when a stinging pain arose from her sensitive neck,

"It is almost evening, wake up and let's go for a walk with our baby," He squeezed her cheeks and placed a quick peck on her lips.

The corners of her lips turned into a soft smile and stood up from the couch, groggily.

"Yangyang, I have something to say," She rubbed her eyes and avoided facing the man who sat beside her with a doting smile.

Li Juan looked through the opening of the window and found a forlorn silhouette standing in the pouring rain,

It was Lee Tae Yang and his eyes were fixed on her window,

She told him the truth and suggested to end their relationship.

As she expected, he brutally refused it and declared that he is not going to leave her.

They argued and fought over the issue.

"Is he mad or what?" Li Juan muttered and closed the window shut as she prepares to go downstairs,

Once she walked out of the door with the umbrella, the man who was frozen to the ground turned his face towards her.

She moved closer to him and pulled Lee Tae Yang under the umbrella,

"Are you crazy? Can't you see its lightning? Do you want to die?" She asks angrily,

"Whether I live or die, why do you even care, Li Juan?" Lee Tae Yang replied with a question, his words were filled with pain and anger.

"Don't die in front of my doorstep," She retorted,

"Xiao Li, why are you doing this to me? "

"It is better for us to part our ways," She forcefully placed the umbrella on to his palms drenched in rainwater and turns to go away,

Even before she could take a step forward, a pair of strong arms wrapped her into an embrace,

"Don't go," Lee Tae Yang's agonized voice ringed near her ears,

She frantically tries to peel off the hands from her frail body,

"Leave me," She yells in pain, trying hard to unclasp his arms, but to no avail,

"Don't go," He repeated,

Lee Tae Yang's strength was overbearing as if it choking her, she reluctantly turns her head and immersed her sharp teeth on his arms,

Even when her mouth got filled with the bloody taste, he remained unswayed,

"I am not leaving you," He said robotically,

"Yangyang, I beg you...let's end this here,"

"No...no...if you want to take a break, go ahead...but we are not breaking up," Lee Tae Yang said with a resolute face,
