Seven years ago,

After Silver Oak high School won the drama competition, Tang Wei Sheng's popularity across the school was roaring high. And surprisingly enough fact was even Li Juan started getting attention from others. And there was a high schooler from another school who is quite fanatical about Li Juan. Every day he waited for Li Juan, outside the school compound and tried to talk to her. Li Juan, on the other hand, was quite scared of him and avoided him.

One day, he came with his friends and stopped Li Juan in a quiet alley.

"We only wanted to know one thing, do you like Luo Yan or not?" The leader of the group asked Li Juan.

"I," Li Juan looked at him with confused eyes.

"I don't know who is Luo Yan."

"What? You don't know who is Luo Yan?" The boys laughed at a brawny guy stood next to him.

"Luo Yan, come here, introduce yourself to this girl."

Luo Yan walked closer to Li Juan.

"I'm Luo Yan from Golden larch high school. I like you, lets date." He ordered her.

The boys surrounding him cheered for him and shouted "say yes"

"I don't want to," Li Juan said in a low voice.

"What did you say?" The boy came closer and cornered Li Juan towards the stone wall in the alleyway.

"I don't want to date you." Li Juan said in a shaky voice.

"Why you don't want to date me? am I not manly enough for you?"

The moment he leaned in to touch Li Juan, she felt like stricken by a thunderbolt,

within a moment a punch landed on Luo Yan's face.

"Ahhhhh!!!" Luo Yan howled in pain.

Li Juan kicked him in the foot and ran away from them.

"Ya, catch that wench," Luo Yan snarled at his friends.

All of them ran after Li Juan.

Li Juan darted across the quiet alleyway and looked for a safe place.

She was running towards the main street when one of the boys caught her hair and pulled her back.

Li Juan tried to kick him away, but he somehow avoided her kicks and locked her head using elbows.

"Did you think that you'll escape after punching one of us?" The boy snarled at her.

Li Juan moved her head towards his elbow and immediately kicked him in the gut using her right hand and gouged his face with the other hand.

AHHHHHH!!!!! The attacker cried out in pain and loosened his grip. Li Juan pushed his head back and punched his gut and pushed him away.

The boy howled in pain and fell on to the ground gripping his gut.

"She kicked Dong Hae!!! Don't let her escape, catch her"- the boys who ran behind them caught up the pace.

With this time, Li Juan ran towards the main street and almost crashed into a bike.

The biker applied the brake immediately and avoided an accident.

Li Juan looked at him while panting.

"Sweetheart!"

Li Juan heard a familair voice,

"Senior Tang!" Li Juan replied involuntarily.

Tang Wei Sheng threw away his bike and held Li Juan.

"What happened to you?"

Tang Wei Sheng looked at Li Juan's dishevelled clothes and hair.

"There she is !!!!" The boys who followed Li Juan shouted.

Tang Wei Sheng looked at their direction and looked at Li Juan's red eyes.

"Sweetheart, you wait here."

Tang Wei Sheng took his helmet and walked towards them.

It was the day when Li Juan saw the true colours of Tang Wei Sheng.

All alone, Tang Wei Sheng beat the brawny guy's group into pulp.

The strange rage and anger in Tang Wei Sheng were uncontrollable by Li Juan.

Li Juan had to cry and beg him to stop fighting.

Upon seeing her teary eyes, Tang Wei Sheng stopped fighting and walked away from the scene with Li Juan.

Tang Wei Sheng grabbed a taxi to the hospital.

Li Juan looked at Tang Wei Sheng with teary eyes.

It was the third time he appeared as a saviour in her life.

Tang Wei Sheng didn't have any visible injuries except a bleeding wound on the corner of his mouth.

"Why are you crying sweetheart?" He wiped her tears from her cheeks.

Li Juan looked at his swollen lip.

"Because of me, you got into a fight and got injured." Li Juan said while crying.

"You call this an injury. This is nothing sweetheart. Can you please stop crying?" Tang Wei Sheng asked her politely. Li Juan held her lips and tried to suppress her tears.

"That's better!"

Even though Tang Wei Sheng appeared normal, an unknown rage was still in his eyes, a beast waiting to break away the chains.

If Li Juan didn't stop Tang Wei Sheng from fighting, he would've killed them.

Upon feeling Li Juan's eyes on him, Tang Wei Sheng smiled and gently stroked Li Juan's hair.

"It is alright sweetheart, I am here."

Li Juan looked at Tang Wei Sheng with adoration.

She felt lucky to have him in her life.

There were only a few people knew about that incident.

"How come you know about it? Did you go to Silver Oak?" Li Juan asked Liang with a serious tone.

"No. I went to the other school." Liang said casually.

"Now it makes sense." Li Juan let out a sigh. "I was wondering where would've you got this information."

"So you know those kids who fought with Wei Sheng Ge?"

"That incident was quite famous in our school," Liang explained. "Everybody was curious to know about the girl for whom Silver Oak's king fought."

"Did they say that they got beaten by Wei Sheng Ge?" Li Juan looked at him with a surprised face.

"Yes," Liang replied with a curious face. "Did they lie?"

"Ah no, no." Li Juan didn't give him a chance to doubt. Only those boys and Li Juan knew the truth that she beat them.

Li Juan repositioned her body into a comfortable posture.

"I used to be a child who was bullied by everyone. So I thought he was bullying me. And I never imagined that Wei Sheng Ge would beat him for something like that."

"So you are telling that it is okay to grab your hand and tried to harm and it is not an act of molestation?"

"What do we know about molestation at the time? I was scared. He was only trying to say his feelings and I am on the other hand, got scared and cried." Li Juan lied in front of him.

"Oh no! I feel bad for that guy." Liang said in a mocking tone.

"You should've given him a chance to prove his love."

"What to do? I was already in love with someone else." Li Juan smiled in content.

"Hmm, So coming back to the question? What did you find so far? Did you find the lost city?"

someone should give Liang a medal for changing topics so wisely.

"Yes. Sort of, we were planned to visit the site this week." Suddenly Li Juan turned gloomy. She missed her job.

"Hey, you don't have to worry. You can go to the lost city once everything is fine." Liang consoled her.

"So tell me why did you search for a lost city?"

"Because that's what archaeologists do," Li Juan replied casually.

Yeah, What an answer. Liang said it in his mind.

"Did Tang Wei Sheng ever mention the reason for Tang Corporation for investing in your research?" Liang drew her attention towards the backstage of the main event.

Li Juan got lost in thoughts for a moment. She never asked anyone about it.

Why Tang Corporation is interested in finding a lost city? Liang noticed the confusion in her eyes.

Li Juan never thought about the reason for Tang corporations for funding her project. She had the chance to ask him, but she didn't ask him.

"I don't know Dr Liang, I never asked him." Li Juan confessed.

"What about professor Han? Did he ever tell the reason for Tang Corporation's involvement in your research?"

Li Juan felt something odd.

Even from beginning their research was highly confidential and especially their investors. Liang studied Li Juan's facial expressions. She was completely clueless.

"Are you aware of the fact that Tang Wei Sheng belongs to a royal bloodline?"

"What?" Li Juan exclaimed." Wei Sheng Ge is a royal descendant?"

"You don't know that? I thought Tang Wei Sheng would've told you." Liang was also surprised.

"I know that his family is quite powerful, but I never imagined that they are royal descendants." Li Juan's voice was filled with surprise.

"You never knew all these times? Your boyfriend is a royal heir. If it still royal reign is here - he would be the king or crown prince. You don't know that?" Liang asked again.

"I knew that his family is of high status in society. But I didn't know that he is a descendant of the royal bloodline." Li Juan repeated her previous line.

"He is named after their last king," Liang told her.

"Is Tang Wei Sheng is the name of their last emperor?"

Li Juan was in confusion.

She couldn't believe what she heard.

Tang Wei Sheng never mentioned anything about the royal family.

Not even Tang Wei Lan.

"Maybe he would've thought that it is not necessary information at least for now." Liang tried to pacify Li Juan.

"So you are telling me that Tang Corporation has got some connection with Jade Land since the ages of royal rule?"

"I don't know the details, but they do have a link."

Liang expressed his opinion without facing Li Juan.

An important link which played a role in the destruction of Jade Land. Liang stopped himself from revealing the truth.

"It is a story which you cannot find on the history textbooks."

"Can you tell me more about it? I wanted to know." Li Juan pleaded to him.

"Only thing I know is that there is something between the Tang family and the lost land."

"But how come you knew about this?"

"I overheard him. I was curious, so I did some research on my own and found nothing."

"Seriously you found nothing???"

"I can assure that their last king died in the lost land on a battle. Liang was confident about that."

"There was a battle in Jade land?" Li Juan's eyes got widened in shock.

"Isn't it a sacred place???"

"I don't know Li Juan, you are the one who researched that land.

I told all those things I knew. If you want to know anything more, ask Wei Sheng.

Maybe he can answer them."

Liang avoided her questions and stood up to walk away.

"Gege!"

They heard a girl's voice from the gate.

A bright teenage girl came running towards them.

"Gege!!!" She stood in front of Liang and smiled.

"Oh, Jie, you were awake." The girl noticed Li Juan who is sitting on the bench.

"Li Juan, this is Xu Nana, she is aunt Hu's daughter." Liang introduced the girl to Li Juan.

"Hi," Li Juan greeted her with a smile.

"Oh no, you are so pretty." Xu Nana looked at the woman sitting cross-legged on the bench and exclaimed.

"You have such big eyes. Even your hair is so pretty." Xu Nana was praising Li Juan.

Li Juan stood there with a sheepish grin.

"Jie, are you wearing Gege's favourite clothes?" Xu Nana noticed the sweater Li Juan was wearing and looked at Liang with interrogative eyes.

"Did he allow you to wear his girlfriend's clothes?"

Li Juan got flustered and looked at Liang.

Did she make a mistake? The closet was filled with many pretty and costly outfits, Li Juan only took the simplest outfit from it.

"After showering I felt cold, so I am randomly picked a sweater. I didn't know." Li Juan paused for a moment.

If this sweater belonged to Liang's girlfriend, then all those clothes in the closet must be his girlfriend's.

"I am sorry Dr Liang," Li Juan apologized.

"Hey, it's fine. Nana, this is why I asked for you. She needs some warm clothes to wear." Liang looked at her in hope.

"Can you buy it? I can ask aunt Hu if you are busy."

Liang's words were suddenly interrupted by Xu Nana's cheerful voice.

"I will go with her and buy it."

"No, she can't travel now." Liang discouraged Xu Nana. They need to go to the mainland for shopping and Li Juan may not be able to travel soon.

"Can you go with your friends?" Liang took his wallet and took out his platinum card.

"When are you going back to the hostel?"

"Day after tomorrow," Xu Nana studied in a boarding school in Xi city. She came for the New Year.

"Buy something for you guys too," Liang instructed her.

The platinum card does not have a limit - that means this guy must be extremely wealthy. Li Juan thought.

"Li Juan, tell her what you want and she will help you."

"You guys talk, I have something to do." Liang left them alone and went inside the cottage.

"Is this sweater is his girlfriend's?" Li Juan asked Xu Nana out of curiosity.

"Yes, it is their couple Tee shirt. Gege keeps that as a treasure."

Liang seems like a tough guy, but he had a soft side too, Li Juan grinned upon realising the truth.

"So where is his girlfriend?" Li Juan was curious about to Liang's girlfriend. "Did she often visit here?"

"No, she is studying somewhere abroad and never visited here." Xu Nana said in a dejected voice.

"This is such a nice place," Li Juan gaped. "I am sure that she will definitely like this place."

"The whole village is waiting for her visit." Xu Nana told in a raised tone.

"Do you know, Gege built all these for a girlfriend?

"What Liang built all these for his girlfriend?

That woman must be lucky to have a man like him in her life."
