Celestial Peak Chapter 531

All that is forbidden holds the greatest power. The Heresy subsided with great difficulty. Naor pushed himself to the edge in order to quickly recuperate and instantaneously cover the Dantian. He didn't want to be tainted any longer. He was out of breath, he pushed himself far too much into sealing the Dantian. He also killed clones of the All-Father, making him all the more exhausted.
Out of breath, Naor kept his spear and armor away. He plopped down on the ground, and right above, he saw a black light coming down. Naor's eyes widened, "There was still one of them?"
Another Revenant, hidden in the nearby mountains was still alive. A backup plan, placed by the others. Naor wanted to stand up, or even roll aside, but—
BOOM!
The Revenant flapped its wings, and the pressure pushed Naor down. His body, buried on the mountain top felt the weight of the coming assault. The Revenant gathered the remaining essence of slaughter left behind by the others.
His sword glowed and he searched for sword shards flying about. He smiled and then—Slash—a swift and unhindered moved followed by the shrill cry of demons incapacitating the Devil Emperor Naor, "Blood Seeking Sword — Demonic Tune!"
Blood flowed from his orifices. Naor now incapable of the movement saw death coming for him… and he allowed its enticing, hands to touch his face.
The image of his wife and daughter surfaced in front of him, beckoning him to come and follow. It was tempting for Naor, he wanted to follow them—"ENOUGH!"—but the image of Garm, the GodKing, and the All-Father's looming presence broke the thought.
A black spear appeared in his hand, and still on the ground, buried deep, Naor held the spear at its tip. His muscles flexed, and his dantian opened for the second time in a single day. His eyes became dark, his blood flowed, "AAAAAHHHHHH~"

He fought the desire to die and swung his spear to the Revenant with all his might. The Revenant saw this and could not help but smile! He celebrated, a fight has appeared, something he did not expect. Amused, the Revenant laughed.
"Blood Seeking Sword: God Slayer!" The Revenant was pleased to see his prey struggle against his fate, "Die—what the—"
Then in the middle of their fight, when the two Devils were in the midst of a battle high, a light blinded them from the side. When the Revenant turned his head to look, all he saw was a light coming to devour his entire body, "Shi—"
"Holy Frost Arrow—"
He cursed and quickly redirected his sword.
His God Slayer, however, no matter how strong was devoured by the light of frost. Naor was almost blasted away by the sheer force of the pillar of light, if not for him stabbing his spear on the ground, he would have been carried away and die. In front of him was the Revenant, frozen, inside the transparent pillar. He died without getting the chance to fight back.
When the light dissipated, all that was left was a pillar of frost that extends up to the skies, piercing it and almost reaching space. Naor's eyes was widened seeing such a thing shock filled him, not because he could not reach such power, but because it was something he could achieve with Heresy and that meant someone from his Race was present.
A Holy Emperor to be precise. However, he did not expect someone to be here, "The Holy Emperors should be gathering to the location of the Family Bell by now. How is it that one of them is in the Abyssal Tundra?"
"So, he really did come back. Don't worry, I'm planning to leave this place soon." Before a shadow was cast, a voice echoed in Naor's ears, "Besides, I wouldn't choose to be with them if I could anyway. So me being alone is not rare. But you already knew that, don't you, Sir Devil Emperor?"

When Naor turned to his right shoulder, all he saw was a woman, garbed in a simple dark blue scholar's robe. She observed the pillar of ice, the bow floating by her side oozed with absolute dominance over frost.
She was a beautiful woman, her waists slim and her thighs just right. Her chest though modest only brought forth a sense of regality to her presence when paired to her tall stature. Standing next to Naor, she ignored him as though she was not associated with someone like him. Not even the Holy GodKing do such a thing, yet, the Holy Empress did not care for pleasantries with a member of the Origin Race.
Her cold and stiff expressions did not change in the presence of an Emperor. She did not care for Naor, she did not bow nor felt a sense of camaraderie. The Holy Empress simply stood there, watching the frozen Revenant.
The Holy Empress touched the frozen pillar and immediately, shattering it and turning it to dust. She looked up, and saw the bits and pieces floating by, she closed her eyes as if to offer a prayer, "I am sorry…"
Just by being near her, the temperature dropped instantly. Naor's eyes was widened seeing the Holy Emperor appear right beside him. When he saw her visage, Naor's eyes was opened wide, "The Eternal Here—"
Twelve golden lights suddenly appeared right behind the Empress' head. The instant the Golden Light appeared; the frost that dissipated from the Abyssal Tundra quickly returned. The clouds that disappeared reappeared, blotting the clear skies.
The Holy Empress' eyes opened ever so gently as she turned to look at Naor, "One more chance is all that I am willing to give you, Sir Emperor. Stop unless you truly wish to anger me. Remember, I also just saved your life, so mind your tongue, I do not want to end the life I just saved."
Naor tried his best to sit straight up. Still in pain from overworking his body, Naor got on one knee, "Forgive me for my impertinence."
"All is forgiven."
"Thank you for your magnanimity, Empress Yue."
In the northernmost world, the Empress closest to the Gods awaken. The Eternally Heretic, the Absolute Empress of Frost, Wang Yue, the younger sister of the All-Father, has awakened.

Vampire Life: Sara
This is a short story based on the character from my main book that is still in progress. The question that caused me to write this and other one to come was simple.... if you can't die, live forever, and interact with the human world, what do you do when something happens that you can't anticipate. In this book, Charles gets hit by a car.

Braza the Architect - Magical Crafter, Builder, and Adventurer!
This is the story of an older man who lived a hard but full life, being reincarnated into a fantasy world as a human-lizard hybrid. The new world is violent, magic is real, a game-like development system crushes physics and natural law under its ambivalent thumb, and myth and legend don't just meet, they chase you down to eat you.Follow Braza as he tries to make a very different life for himself in a familiar but ultimately alien world. In this story the protaginist will not just be a muscle bound monster. He is not a proper hero, willing to sacrifice himself for the good of a stranger, but neither is he a maniacal villain. He is trying to survive, and he is trying to give himself and those he deems himself responsible for a seat at the table of the"goodly", the "civilized" races. He is trying to create a secure home for his people, to arrange beneficial trade agreements, explore ancient ruins, decipher ancient runes, push the boundaries of magic to create a better life for everyone around him, to learn about the history of the world and the multiverse, and ultimately attempt to become powerful enough to take on a being that even the gods themselves fear. This is my first story and it blends many different elements and styles. It's a bit darker than most of what I have read on Royal Road, but even with that, I hope you give it a try, and I hope you like it!

The DreamWalker Series
Ellette's dreams are unnaturally real. For years she has found them to be the perfect escape, the solution to a life that has been, at times, a nightmare. When she comes across a man from a dream in her waking life, he turns out to be just that; a dream come true. With finding him, she is forced to realize that her dreams overlap into reality, sometimes in frightening ways. The Dreamwalker Series was written as a number of short stories. Several of the stories are quite old so the writing style and mood of the pieces may shift in between each title. Some stories are flash fiction, and so may seem rather brief and abrupt. This story will be uploaded in a non-linear format.
