Celestial Peak Chapter 495

"A True War? Then are you saying that we are doing right now is not War?" Gundo Bambang was still angered by his earlier words but knowing the Refining God's desire to understand he asked… albeit a little aggressively.
Wang Ling shook his head, "You call this war? No, this is us scrambling to live. Pray to the Creators and we would have the complete requirement for being at the mercy of the Abyssal Demons. It is barely living and even we fight the Revenants who can pose as the living. They may be weak, but even if we start killing them, then we'd only be dying sooner or later. Do you even know why I said all those things to you?"
No one answered, and with that silence, Wang Ling made sure to release a sigh before keeping himself from talking.
Wang Ling was silent keeping everyone on the edges of their seat. The event on the Silver Blade World was the result of him leaving early because he didn't want to deal with the Towers and the repercussions of his actions.
His face was covered for a reason, if he was found he would be killed for being a Revenant. Without him being able to utilize the Devil Lineage, Wang Ling would not be able to definitively prove that he was the All-Father.
But as Wang Ling sat before the leaders of the Cosmos their hate directed at him, Wang Ling still had to find a way to lead them or even spur them forth in the direction he wants. And the only way for him to do that was not to make use of what he had.
He used his own failure in saving the others into a way to infiltrate their mind. With that and learned how much reverence these people had to their Ancestors and how much honor they hold in the sacrifices of their peers and comrades, through Tang Yu's rant, Wang Ling knew how to get into these people's minds.
He secretly observed everyone, he wanted to confirm something… he wanted to believe that they are true warriors. He looked around and he saw the hate ever so apparent, but, behind that… there was doubt.

Finally, as Wang Ling sighed, he slouched on the throne, "I can see that you are angry at me, and in all fairness, you are very much correct to hate for talking down on you. But what I said has no hint of lie, even the Sword and the Slaughter Emperor Spear who has fought far longer than any of you have agreed with my words. I understand that it is hard to admit what I have said, but if none of you, the leaders of the living do not recognize that we are losing then you are not honoring the desire to win of the past, but you are smearing shit at their legacy by having the Demons loom over this Cosmos as we await our eventual Deaths!
"This is not a war! This is us shirking away to fight! War is where the chance of freedom from the other forces is attained! A war is when two forces clash to show who would win! This! Is! Not! A! WAR! A True War should give us not only hope but also despair! A True War is the Cosmos deciding to point its sword on the enemy and fighting them with all that we have! A True War is when we lose we are not simply push back but annihilated! A war is when we win we do not reclaim land but the entire Universe! This is not a War! THIS IS A BLOODY FUCKING SKIRMISH!"
He did not hide his intentions with pretty words. He did not brighten up what he wanted with glory, he did not shirk away in telling them the truth!
War is a disgusting sight. It was a place where lives were treated as grasses to be culled. A war is when lives are insignificant before the other, a war is when they could die in one fell swoop!
STAB!
Wang Ling stood up and brought out a sword and stabbed a rock table in front of him, "A life is important, a soul is irreplaceable! It is natural to be afraid of death, it is natural to cherish life, but in front of war all that is inconsequential! And if you wish to attain true peace, where we do not wait for the Abyssal Demons' whims before we get annihilated then raise your sword, stick your neck out, and prepare yourselves to die so that this Universe can have hope in surviving for the sake of the future generations!"

Everyone… was stunned, to say the least. The Holy Race was known for their calm demeanor, they pursue non-aggression if possible. This was the very reason why they were thought to be the incarnation of light and good against the brute ways of the Devils.
But this member of the Holy Race screamed nothing of peace. He wishes to see the end of the other side, yet even with all that he said he didn't sound wrong. The Demons increase in number with the living decreases.
Chang Ping brought out a sword from her storage ring and stabbed it on the table as if that was the most rational thing to do before talking, "The number of deaths will increase the longer we dally. Even I have lost due to circumstances and I have reached cultivation realms leagues above yours. I have fought thousands of Kings and Emperor Class demons and I fear that it is only a matter of time before a God-Class emerges from their midst. Before that comes to past, then I say we fight."
Beginning with Chang Ping, Kareem was the second to stab a sword on the table, declaring that he too agree in the words of the first two, "Since the creation of the Abyssal Demons we have fought them back. We have lost our kins to them, our loved ones, our families. We have lost so much more than anyone, we grieved for so long, and I agree that it is time to finish this once and for all."
STAB!
STAB!
Qinyang and the twins did the same as the others. They did not say much, only, "The Demons are getting stronger, death is looming over us, thus we fight them back."
The Phoenixes and the Black Turtles agree with the decision. Four swords stuck out but… nothing more happened.
Everyone was silent for none of them could make the decision.
They too wish to finish the fighting and open a new path, but… they also could not simply decide that so quickly they needed time… and Wang Ling did not want something like that.
[Fighting in an All-Out War is obviously disadvantageous for them… but this is the only chance we have. I can't fight the Demons alone, I need them as well to cover for me… tsk, what is Wang Hong's son doing!? I need the forefront of the Major Power to support me!]
The Wang Family was the most illustrious of the Major Powers. Even against the Immortal Sects and the Towers, they were the most influential of them all. Wang Ling needs the Wang Family's push in order for him to continue! In order for this to work.
The Wang Family was needed for a multitude of reasons.
They were the strongest having the Bow and Spear God in their midst and even three God-Class Cultivators in Wang Shu Qing, Xiao Fei'er, and Sun Wu. Wang Ling need that
Wang Ling looked at his nephew thinking so deeply. Just one more push from a Major Power and they would be able to pick up the pace, if just one more, then, Wang Ling would be able to ride the momentum an—
STAB!
A sword was stabbed on the stone table, but Wang Lin was still thinking of his decision.
The final push did not come from the Wang Family as Wang Ling had hoped. And though it was not the Wang Family, it came from another place that could match it, "I agree with the decision to wage war. I, the Refining God, together with the Alchemist Tower will lend its strength to this cause… I will even fight in the frontlines if need be."
Yan Renhuo, the Refining God who controls the flow of pills in this Universe decided to step up!

Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Izuku was close to going crazy with all the noise he now had to live with and the two wouldn't quiet down, even after he asked, multiple times. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males.Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"
